ARC 3-7: MR SEXY VAMPIRE, BITE ME! (END)

CHAPTER 7: Why, wHy, WHY!?

"Why, wHy, WHY!?" Amelia couldn't understand how things could become like this.

Is it true?

Will every world be a failure?

No!

She refuses to believe it so!!!

Angrily, Amelia kicks down the basement cage.

Cerberus watches her temper tantrum with a knowing smile on his face.

"I mean, I don't want to say it, but... I told you s-"

"Then don't say it!!" She growls kicking in the brick wall behind him.

He brakes his chains as he quickly moves out of the way of the collapsing wall.

He didn't get to say another snide remark because Amelia was already storming up the stairs.

Kevin was worried. He knew what a tender heart his young miss had. She must be very distraught seeing a human treated like that.

"Kevin." She suddenly growls in a almost serene manner.

Kevin was nervous. "Y-yes!!"

"It's war! I can no longer stand such evil acts happening on the same soil as I!!"

Cerberus couldn't help but laugh at her righteous claim, however he immediately got into character, as Kevin turns to face him.

Kevin sighs. "As you wish miss."

Kevin would support his young miss in whatever it is she wants to do. He always believed her to be right.

Getting tired of the other Vampires because of their mistreatment was only a matter of time.

Their differing ideals is afterall one reason why Amelia was always alone.

Soon enough a 20 year war ravaged the world.

The vampires under Sirius were being attacked from two sides. The vampires under Amelia, and the vampire hunter association.

Although Sirius was a great leader and was able to endure 20 years, others could not.

They cursed him for angering Amelia.

They cursed him for being so stubborn.

And so some of them defected.

Others betrayed him.

Finally in the 20th year, He was slain.

Fiona had never left his side. She watches as he was stabbed in the gut 50 times, and watched as his head was decapitated.

She actually cried when he died.

She...

She had loved a psychopath.

And he, during his last moment of life, finally knew why he was so possessive over a human.

He loved her.

He...

Loved a human.

It was the world's funniest joke!

As his head went flying from his body, as his eyes rolled back into their sockets, as he burned Fiona's image to heart, he was able to mutter one last word.

"I'm sorry."

Fiona fell to her knees in an instant. Her wailings of sorrow filled the castle.

Why did things have to be this way?

Why did she have to fall for a deranged vampire?

Why could she always see the goodness in his heart?

Why?

Why...

Why couldn't she change him?

The world had finally fallen into ruin.

Cerberus laughs loudly, watching everything take place in the Overseer's glass ball.

She angrily shoots him a glare before throwing the ball onto the ground and crushing it with her toes.

Blood seeps out of her foot, dying the floor red. She couldn't feel the pain over the burst of adrenalin she had. "Why is this happening!?" She screeches, feeling highly aggrieved.

She finally collapses onto her throne.

Cerberus grins slyly. "Want me to tell you?"

She doesn't bother responding. She looked utterly exhausted.

Her anger was no longer there.

She wasn't even disappointed either.

She just felt...

Empty.

Cerberus approaches her. "Seeing as you look so down, I'll tell you." He plays with a lock of her silver hair. "You don't understand the human heart. That couple could never have remained together without facing some kind of trial or adversary. Then together their hearts will grow, however without that, they remain stuck in the same place. You however completely removed their trials. I.e me. That's because you don't understand the human heart. Love."

Amelia looks up into his smiling blue eyes. She could see her gloomy expression within them. "So you say. But logically speaking, if I remove the brick wall to their happiness, they should be able to flourish. Instead they didn't. However you're telling me, I was supposed to help them scale the wall instead? That makes no sense!! Why go through so much hassle when there is an easier solution!" She snorts with contempt.

He laughs loudly, dropping her lock of hair. "And that's why I understand the human heart, and you do not." He suddenly crouches down, placing a comforting hand on her knee. "Tell me, why do you go through all of this.... hassle?"

Amelia notices the curiosity shinning in his eyes. "Because I am bored."

"I see. You terrorise people because you are bored. What a bad habit you have, little miss Overseer."

She frowns at his words. "I'm fixing these boring worlds. Don't get me twisted. "

"And yet, the worlds you enter become chaos in the end."

"Shut up!" She grabs him by the collar. "What would you know!? One of these times I'll surely succeed!"

With an amused expression, he calmly pries off her grip from his shirt. "Just quit. Give up. You'll never succeed like this."

She laughs darkly, crossing her arms across of her chest. "Yeah, because I don't know the human heart or the world's core. I get it!" She mocks.

He pinches her cheeks. "I don't think you do."

She slaps his hands away. "Whatever, I'm leaving. This world is just stupid!! You should stay here longer, so that when I destroy this place from the outside, you'll hopefully be gone too."

He grins, and watches as the body flops onto the ground lifelessly.

He sighs helplessly.

This woman is more than what he can handle.

The Overseer opens her golden eyes only to have the dark void starring back at her.

She sighs.

It was good to be back, away from that annoying, know it all prick!

She glances at the black snow globe, on the palm of her hand.

Another failure...

Her eyes darken as she drops the globe mercilessly onto the ground.

With no expression on her face, she crushes it with her bare foot. No blood or pain could be seen.

She walks briskly over to another shelf, looking for a good world to fix.

There has to be one where she can succeed.

That stupid anomaly keeps on blabbering useless things she didn't care about!

All she knows is that if she plans everything properly this time, she'll be successful.

She's sure of it!

What human heart bullshit!?

What World core bullshit!?

She doesn't need to know any of that stuff to look after these world's and she certainly doesn't need to know it to be successful.

Finally the Overseer stops in front of a large looming shelf.

There were only 5 snow globes on this entire shelf.

She remembers after finishing her vampire and werewolf phase, she got into sci-fi and futuristic worlds.

However the snow globe she is picking up right now doesn't fall under any of those categories.

Instead, This world was a priceless gem.

She treasured this world very much.

If there is one world she knows she can succeed it will be in this one.

This world is a beautiful tale of a strong female lead.

One who had nothing and rose to gain everything.

The only problem is...

That she was forever alone.

A truly independent woman.

However the Overseer pitied her.

Love is such a great thing. This woman who has struggled for all of her life deserves to have some.

Like a reward for doing a good deed.

For amusing her.

And that's what she wanted to grant.

There is no way she can mess this one up, right?

The Overseer slaps her cheeks angry at herself for even entertaining any doubts.

It's all that foreign entity's fault!!

With blazing determined golden eyes she enters the world, ready to change it for the better!

Poor Kevin.

He will be missed.
