CHAPTER 4: New Friend
"Oh man! Thought I'd keep my cover for longer. Why did you have to attack me like that?" His voice held a mischievous tone to it, however it was deep and husky.
The Overseer could only widen her eyes in disbelief at what she was seeing.
This human....
No!
This monster!
He has somehow stopped her blow from landing in his chest. Instead he had caught her hand by the wrist.
This was impossible for any vampire, much less a human.
This man...
Amelia grits her teeth as she yanks back her hand. "You.... who are you?" She questions him in a guarded tone. She wanted to kill him, but it didn't seem like it was possible.
No!
She refuses to believe that is true!
The man laughs at her disgruntled expression. "What's wrong miss Overseer?" He slows his voice down, emphasising the 'Overseer' in a mocking tone. "Can't believe I won't die?"
"Shut up!" She growls, pouncing at him this time with her own strength, instead of the vampire's natural strength.
He easily evades with inhumane speeds.
This man truly wasn't human.
His laughter rang out like a bell, as his blue eyes curve into crescents. He was enjoying this, aggregating Amelia even further.
"Stand still, so. I. Can. Hit. You!" She growls, lunging for his neck again.
He ducks, clicking his tongue with distaste. "You're all brute strength, just like a rabid animal. You should use techniques instead. Maybe then you can land a-"
He was suddenly cut off, as dirt was thrown into his eyes. He coughs, when suddenly he feels a tight grip on his neck.
Oh crap...
This isn't good!
*bang*
He was pinned to the ground, his throat in her hands.
His air supply was cut off, and he was gagging for air.
The Overseer reveals an evil smile. "Since you won't tell me who you are, just die. You have no business in my worlds!"
The man was slowly losing consciousness.
He needed to do something! And fast!
Gritting his teeth, he kicks upwards, landing a blow on the back of the Overseer's head.
She collapses onto his chest, her hold slackening.
"That was close." He mutters, while gasping for air.
He looks down at the fragile girl straddling him.
She really is a piece of work.
~~~
When the Overseer came to, she found herself back in her room.
It seems Kevin had taken her back home.
However remembering Cerberus she immediately sat up like a spring.
Where is that ingrate!?
"Miss, you're awake!" Kevin smiles widely, looking happy.
Amelia hops out of bed, sniffing around. "Where's that human trash that was with me?" Her tone was harsh to the ears.
Kevin looked startled by her actions. "M-Miss, if you're talking about your new friend, I've imprisoned him in the basement. I know how much you want to make friends, so miss I was thinking we should start small, with the human who found you unconsci-" Kevin couldn't finish his sentence, as his young miss has ran at super human speeds, towards the basement.
And true to Kevin's words, the human garbage was imprisoned here. The silver chains held him against the wall, however they both knew he could break out anytime he wanted. Afterall he wasn't human.
He gives the Overseer a helpless smile. "Hi." His dimples pop out to greet her.
She frowns. "You- what do you want? Who are you? If you don't answer me, don't expect me to be nice!" She hisses.
He laughs. "I'm Cerberus. A vampire hunter, and I want to save Fiona."
Amelia glares daggers into him. There was no point to torture. If he was like her, he would be very resistant to it. Therefore killing him is the best option. He should just get out of her world!
Just as Amelia had opened the cage, Kevin shows up with his fearful smile. "Miss, miss-miss!!! Be more gentle with the human, he's not a vampire, so he may just die from a single touch from you."
That's exactly what she wants to happen!
Unfortunately Kevin seemed to be doing things at his own pace.
If she wasn't so isolated, and needed Kevin for information then she would've killed him on the spot.
"Miss, you need to treat him with care. Here, give him this. Food is a good way to befriend pets!" He hands Amelia a packet of chips.
Amelia reluctantly looks at the foreign entity.
He wants to play along with the storyline.
That's why he introduced himself as Cerberus.
However, he also didn't want to reveal any information about himself.
Now the question is, is it worth it.
Killing him and the butler?
Amelia was still trying to decide as she force fed him the food.
Cerberus cheeks were stuffed, like a chipmunk!
"Miss I think it's working!!" Kevin says with excitement.
However just at that moment, Cerberus coughs out the chips and gives them a horror filled look. "Who are you people!??Where's Fiona!?" He roars. The veins in his neck was bulging out, showing his rage.
He was also hypersensitive to any of their actions, tensing at any small action.
What a good actor.
Kevin's happy mood immediately plummets. He hurries to comfort his young miss. "Miss don't worry. All pets are feisty like this at start. Don't be jealous of Sirius, I promise this human is just as good of a pet as Fiona is!"
Amelia merely stood in place, frozen for a very long time.
Finally she's come to a conclusion.
Killing this man will be very hard. She'll have to expend alot of effort, and risk herself dying in the process.
If he was like her then they would have equal strength. Out of 10 fights, she would lose 5.
However...
Him staying with her also helps accomplish her goal.
As long as he and Fiona have no contact things will work out.
So imprisoning him here is still an option. And it's hassle free.
Only problem is...
She'll have to see his irritable face everyday.
This sly dog.
Amelia sighs. "I have a headache."
Kevin nods. "Of course miss, I understand. Interacting with people is tiring. Please do go eat breakfast. Food is already served at the dinner table."
Amelia disappears from her spot.
She really couldn't wrap her head around having a random foreign entity enter her world.
However not only does she not understand how this has happened, but it also brings the fear of the unknown.
Amelia....
The Overseer...
She was afraid.
What's out there?
What else does she not know?
She didn't even want to entertain the possibility of her being ignorant.
However right now, her sole focus was correcting the worlds into ones she'll enjoy.
And so she tried not to think too deeply about irrelevant people.
Only hoping there wouldn't be more of them in the future.
And hoping they wouldn't get in the way of her desires.
