CHAPTER 3: Logical Conclusion

Just as the Overseer has calculated, the next day, gone were the rumours about her stealing someone else's boyfriend.

No one dared to utter a word about that event, as if they would get cursed if they did.

Another thing that occurred was the punishment of two individuals.

Kevin, the ex boyfriend of Mary, was found in the hospital. He had gotten into a car accident, and not just any car accident, but into a coma.

Wow. The ml is ruthless!

Just as he should be!

However Abby, the girl who slapped Faith wasn't any better. A drug scandal about her circulated around the school, resulting in her getting kicked out!

Nice one Erik!

It seems that after some digging around, the two families knew that Faith was telling the truth. Thus support of her innocence was spread around campus, brainwashing onlookers into thinking Faith was innocent.

Things seemed to settle down after that. However things were still awkward between Mary and Faith.

Not that the Overseer minded.

This chaos was exactly what she wanted. She didn't even need to do much to succeed.

However now her hunting continues, as she was on the search for a new fl.

From memory, there should be another woman who loves the ml, coming near the end of the plot, after Faith's fall from grace.

This woman is the last hurdle the couple must pass to live happily ever after.

However Faith just wasn't sure if the woman was currently in the country at this time.

Thus she decided to search for her.

Her name is Leona Maxwell.

A proud and capable woman who isn't very petty. She is the rightful fiancè of Kris, set up by his grandpa.

She's a logical person, and couldn't understand why Kris would marry such a useless person instead of her.

Which is also what the Overseer thought.

Thus when she was so ruefully rejected, her pride got hurt, resulting in her scheming.

Naturally her schemes were foiled, because no one is a match for the world's golden child the ml, which ultimately lead to her death.

Her family is one that's situated abroad. With this marriage the Reed family would have had easier access to the foreign market.

The woman is a bombshell as well.

There were only advantages to marrying such a woman.

The choice should be obvious.

However what they say is true.

Love is blind.

And in this case so frustrating.

That fl is so useless. Her only defining traits are her naivete and innocence.

The ml may have been attracted to her because of that, however she's such a burden, she's just taking up space!

The Overseer's brain began to hurt from all of the thinking.

Anyways, all she needs to do is to find Leaona.

That means going abroad.

Which means convincing the brother and the parents.

Kind of like going on a treasure hunt. It sounds fun!

However when she is away, the fl and ml will be left together, to cultivate their feelings.

This cannot be allowed as the Overseer wants to see chaos!!

Thus Faith had many things laid out to do.

Faith headed to university as usual.

Because she was in the business course, she didn't really encounter the fl, as that woman was studying acting.

The way they became friends was through Abby in the first place, who was also studying business.

Abby and Mary share the same dorm room, therefore it was only natural for Faith to become acquainted with Mary.

The school day passed by uneventfully. In fact, perhaps it was a little too quiet, as people seemed to be avoiding Faith.

Faith sighs.

Must be the ml's doing. Wonder what rumour he spread to ostracize her.

At the very least she wasn't bothered and in fact found it amusing.

Dinner came quickly, and using her wonderful acting skills, she was able to get everyone to agree to her little holiday.

Only thing is...

Since the ml was travelling to X country, Faith's parents instructed him to look after her.

He was of course reluctant as he was going for business. Still, what a lucky bonus.

Perhaps she could make him fall in love with Leona there?

And while he's away it would be much easier to torture the innocent fl.

How marvellous!

The airplane ride over to X country was quite awkward.

The Overseer was bumbling with joy as she stared out of the window of the airplane. She was intrigued, seeing everything grow to the size of an ant.

Kris who was seated besides her, was typing away on his laptop. He was very reluctant to look after her, however he must for his elders.

He glances over at her excited face and frowns.

Faith has really changed alot.

She used to be much more reserved and calm. However these days she's quite bold and unrestrained.

He doesn't know what changed, however she's much harder to read.

If one were to look at her, they would think she's never been on a plane before.

Which is preposterous with such family background.

Kris was stunned out of his thoughts by Faith's sudden gaze. Her green orbs were locked onto his, as a mischievous smile lay on her lips. He felt his breath hitch, as he continued to stare at her.

He noticed the bits of gold flakes in her eyes. He noticed how fair and smooth her skin was. He noticed so many things he hasn't before that he was frozen with shock.

Faith's melodious laughter brought him back to reality. "What are you looking at?" She teases, moving her head even closer to his.

The tips of their noses were almost touching

His eyes widen ever so slightly, as he jumps away from her in a fluster. A red hue spreads down to his neck as he coughs awkwardly to clear the air. "Nothing." He quickly avoids her gaze.

Faith suddenly grips his jaw, turning his face so that he's forced to look at her. "Then I'm looking at nothing!" She grins.

He immediately regains his ice cold mask and slaps away her hand. "Don't touch a taken man so casually."

Faith raises one brow in response.

He has already entered a relationship with the fl?

He sure moves fast.

Faith wasn't worried. She knew she could make him love another, afterall, the fl is useless. Plus at this stage, their love shouldn't be too strong. So making him meet the final boss when he isn't ready is sure to result in his defeat!

This is the most logical decision.
