Chapter 8: Lucy became 18 years old girl

Days pass and Lucy is not getting time to speak with her Dad.

James feels pressured to meet the targets and bring his salary on time.

Days converted to months, and Lucy passed her 1st year with Distinction Marks.

She came to the House to tell her Dad that she scored above 90 percent in all subjects. But, as usual, her Dad is busy with his targets.

"Why is Dad behaving like this? Can't he spend some time with me? Then, every evening, he comes home with an alcoholic effect, and in the early morning, he goes away. No Sundays and No festivals. Why is our life like this?" Lucy asked in herself and threw the books away.

The clock sounded 11:00 PM.

Lucy is waiting for her Dad in the living room.

Within one hour, she is getting 18 years of age and becoming a Major. But, all her desires vanished when James came to the house drinking wine.

"Dad, I passed my 1st year..." Lucy stopped the sentence when her Dad had fallen on the floor and had an Alcoholic effect.

She covered her Dad with a blanket as it became a routine.

Lucy ran inside her room and closed the doors with tears.

She started hitting the bed and threw the pillows onto the floor.

Lucy saw the chain David gave her and took it into her hands.

"David, I am becoming a mature girl within one hour. If you had been there with me, I could have enjoyed your birthday celebrations. But you went Abroad." Lucy said and wiped her tears.

She came out of the room and looked at her Dad. He is in a deep sleep due to the Alcoholic effect.

Lucy came out of the house and drove the vehicle towards where she met David for the first time.

Within half an hour, Lucy reached the street and looked around.

The street is empty, and the fresh winds blowing make Lucy feel relaxed.

She got down from the scooter and looked at the flowers shining in the moonlight.

The Nightingale sounds like something that Lucy understood.

"Yes. Today is my birthday. Within a few hours, I am becoming a major." Lucy shouted with happiness.

The Nightingale started singing the Happy Birthday song, and the remaining birds started making sounds along with Nightingale.

The Clock sounded at midnight.

The Birds shook the trees, and the flowers fell on Lucy's face; she looked like a Queen who had onto the earth.

"Thank you so much for unforgettably wishing me a Happy Birthday. I will meet David soon and speak about everything that happened in his absence. Bye." Lucy said and came to the house.

She opens the doors and is shocked to see Victor, who comes near her.

"Lucy! When did you come? I thought that you would come tomorrow morning." Victor said laughingly.

"Idiot! Get out of the house." Lucy shouted.

"Why are you shouting like that? I have already told your Dad that you won't come till tomorrow. Don't worry. We will enjoy it till tomorrow and make this night memorable." Victor said laughingly.

Lucy slapped Victor angrily and took his collar into her hands.

"Stop!" James shouted.

Lucy looked at her Dad, who was drinking wine angrily.

"Dad, Look at this fellow and how he speaks with your daughter. Push him away from the house." Lucy said and ran towards her Dad.

"What is the mistake in his words? I am a drunkard, and you enjoy yourself with someone during midnight. So what is the need for you to go during nighttime?" James asked and drank an entire bottle of wine.

"Dad, Do you suspect me? Don't you know about my Character?" Lucy asked with tears.

James looked at his daughter and had fallen into an Alcoholic effect.

"Lucy, Your Dad believed my words. I felt insulted in front of everyone in the college. Now, I took revenge on you. How is it?" Victor asked laughingly and tried to touch Lucy.

Lucy broke the wine bottle her Dad drank and took the broken piece into her hands.

"If you won't go away from here, I will kill you. Will you go or die in my hands?" Lucy asked angrily.

Her eyes are red with anger, and bravery is like a Soldier trying to protect the Country.

"It's OK. I will go away." Victor said and ran away from the house.

Lucy closed the doors and threw the wine bottle.

She ran towards her Dad and touched his feet.

"Dad, Today is my Birthday. You are not in a position to understand me. A girl doesn't need any gift except her parent's blessings on her birthday. I don't have Mom to understand me. You are not even speaking with me and drinking all the time. I don't have any close friends to enjoy the birthday moments. So, I went to the place where I felt happy. Is it wrong?" Lucy shouted and cried.

After a few minutes, she slept near her Dad's feet with tears flowing from her eyes.

On the next day,

Lucy woke up to the sound of the milkman knocking on the doors.

She looked around but did not find her Dad anywhere.

Lucy took a deep breath and completed her daily activities.

The clock sounded 10:00 AM.

Lucy did not show any interest in going to the College and stayed in the house only.

She called her Dad's mobile, but it was not reachable.

Lucy threw the mobile aside and started cooking, but her mind was on what had happened the previous night.

"If a boy goes outside at midnight, his parents will not speak anything. But, if a girl steps outside, she will have many restrictions." Lucy said and heard Ambulance Sound coming towards their house.

She stopped cooking, ran towards the Entrance, and opened the doors.

"Is it James House?" The Ambulance Driver asked, looking at Lucy.

"Yes. What happened to my Dad?" Lucy asked with fear.
