Chapter 6: James met Ava

Lucy looks at the chain that David gave her and the moments that happened in her childhood.

"Lucy! Where are you?" James asked angrily.

Lucy kept the chain in her bag and ran towards James.

"Dad, What happened?" Lucy asked with fear.

"Why didn't you go to tuition for Biology subject? Don't you know that you passed with Average marks in Biology?" James asked fiercely.

"Dad, I am not interested in studying that subject. I hate that subject." Lucy growled and went inside the room.

"What is this? How can I teach Lucy the lessons in that subject? How can she pass the exams if she doesn't go to Tuition?" James said to himself and sat on the sofa.

"I think it is better to explain the situation to Ava Madam. She can only handle this issue better." James said to himself and went to Ava's house.

"Are you Lucy's Dad?" Ava asked and welcomed him inside.

"Yes. I came here to discuss an important issue with you. If you, please give time to me, I will explain my situation." James said and sat on the chair.

"Sure! Where is Lucy? Did she come?" Ava asked and looked around.

"No. Lucy is an innocent girl who doesn't know the outside world. Technology changed, but her heart did not change. She thinks that Biology Subject is not a good subject to learn. I don't know why, but she cannot concentrate on this subject. Will you please speak with her, as I cannot speak about this subject with her?" James asked in a requesting tone.

"I know that Lucy is a brilliant girl. But, her hatred towards this subject made her sit in B Grade Section. I will speak with Lucy. Don't worry." Ava said with a smiling face.

"Thank you, Madam. She does not have a Mother since her childhood. If she were there, I could not have asked you. Sorry for troubling you." James said and got up.

"It's OK. I will speak with Lucy." Ava replied.

After James left, Ava began to think about his words and how she needed to change Lucy.

After a few days, James took Lucy to Senior Secondary School.

"What Group do you want to choose?" The Principal asked.

"Any Group where Biology subject won't be there," Lucy said eagerly.

"You can take CEC Course. But we don't teach that group here. We have only Science Group here." The Principal said and called another candidate.

James and Lucy go to all colleges in that town but get the same reply everywhere.

"Lucy, I think it is better to go home. I cannot take you to every College. The time is already afternoon. I need to go to the office, as New Stock is coming. I cannot come with you tomorrow. You only take a decision and tell me." James said with irritation and dropped Lucy at home.

Lucy understood that her Dad was upset with her and did not get the courage to speak with him anymore. So instead, she sat silently on the scooter, thinking about what to do.

"Get down," James said fiercely.

After Lucy got from the vehicle, James quickly drove the car and forgot to give the keys to Lucy.

Lucy understood that she had forgotten to take the keys after seeing the door lock.

She sat on the stairs thinking her Dad would come and give her keys. But, time passes, and Lucy runs towards the gate whenever she hears the scooter sound.

After half an hour, Ava came and greeted Lucy.

Lucy is shocked to see Ava, and her heartbeat is getting increased.

"Lucy, Why are you sitting here? Where is your Dad?" Ava asked and caressed Lucy's hair.

"Why did you come? Please go away." Lucy growled with red eyes.

"Why are you angry with me? Did I complain about you anytime?" Ava asked with a smiling face.

"I hate you. Please go from here." Lucy shouted and ran away from there.

She went to a nearby church and sat there.

Ava, who followed her, went inside the Church and looked around for Lucy.

"Jesus, Please help me. I don't want to leave my Dad and go somewhere for studies. But, here Colleges are offering only Science group subjects. How to overcome this problem?" Lucy went near to Jesus Idol and prayed.

Ava understood Lucy's inner mind and went near to her.

"Lucy! Nature cannot move without Mutual Attraction Subject. But, your mind is unable to understand the meaning of it. Biology doesn't mean only Sex, and it has many underlying meanings. It's OK. I will recommend your name to one of the colleges that I know. Go and meet them. They will admit you to HEC Group." Ava said and opened her handbag.

She took a pen and paper and wrote something on it.

"I am keeping this paper here. Go to this College, and tell them that Ava recommended your name. Bye." Ava said and kept the paper near Jesus Idol.

While going, Ava turned behind and looked at Lucy.

"Lucy, Whenever you want to learn Biology, I will be happy to help you. If you need help with any issue, come and speak with me. I will always be ready to help you like your Mom. Girls cannot speak everything with Dad. They need Mom's guidance in some aspects. Remember that." Ava said and looked at Lucy, looking at her with a hateful expression.

Ava laughed to herself and went away from there.

Lucy looked at Jesus and took the paper that Ava gave with half-heart.

She kissed Jesus's feet and went away from there with the paper that Ava gave.

"If David had been there, I could not have faced this problem. He will speak about several things with me. But, no one is there to listen to my words and thoughts." Lucy said to herself and went to her house.
