Chapter 3: David stopped the car for Lucy

For the first time, Lucy started to school on foot without taking the help of her Dad, James. She forgot the way to the school from her house and looked at the streets with innocent eyes.

"Driver, stop the vehicle." David, a nine-year-old guy, said and got down from the vehicle without listening to the driver's words.

David went near Lucy and looked at her school uniform and badge color. Lucy, a nine-year-old girl, looked at David with fear and shouted for Help, making David laugh loudly.

Lucy, with resentment, started walking from that place, and David began following her.

Lucy looked behind angrily and started running from that place fast like a deer. David followed her up to some extent but was unable to catch Lucy.

"Oh, My God! I think this girl is a running champion. It's difficult to trace her now." David said with shortness of breath and started walking back.

Lucy, who hid under a plant, felt relieved and looked at the yellow flower in color and attractive. Then, she started smelling that flower, forgetting the outside world. David, who saw Lucy, went towards her slowly and stood beside her.

"Did you like the smell?" David asked with a smiling face.

Lucy is shocked to see David beside her. She tries to shout but stops when David keeps her hands on Lucy's mouth.

"If you shout, I will kidnap you. What is your name?" David asked in a threatening tone.

Lucy became frightened and started crying loudly. David removed his hands and requested that she stop crying as the public gathered around them. Then, they started questioning them about what had happened, and Lucy showed her fingers toward David without answering their questions.

David understood that he didn't have any chance to prove his innocence and looked around to escape. He sees a minor way between Lucy and another woman who is scolding him but doesn't want to leave Lucy, as he understands that she missed her way to school.

Fortunately, he saw his Biology Madam Ava going that way on her scooter. So David pushed a guy scolding him and ran towards the scooter.

"Madam, Please stop," David shouted and ran in front of the vehicle.

Ava applied sudden brakes and looked at the general public running after David. She looked at David, puzzled, and requested everyone to be patient for some time.

"David, What happened? Why are they running after you? Did you do any bad thing?" Ava asked seriously.

David pointed his finger towards Lucy and requested his teacher take Lucy to the school as she missed her way. The public who ran after David understood the reason and left the place, speaking to themselves about the incident.

Ava went near Lucy, smelling the flower without looking at the surroundings. She did not understand what Lucy was doing and touched her shoulder, making Lucy come to her senses.

Lucy looked at Ava with her cute innocent eyes and became frightened when she saw David behind his teacher.

Ava understood Lucy's fear and ordered David to leave the place and go to school.

David had no option except to leave the place, as he knew his teacher's anger. After David went away from there, Ava took Lucy near her scooter and asked her where her parents were and where she was going.

Lucy showed her finger toward the sky and said that her Mom was resting in the sky, and her Dad went to the office. Ava got impressed with Lucy's words and understood that she was studying in the same school where she works as a teacher.

Ava looked at the watch and looked around for a vehicle as she had an important meeting with someone.

"Driver, Go near Madam as a cab driver and pick up the girl looking with innocent eyes. I will come to the school in some vehicle." David said and got down from his vehicle.

The driver tried to say something, but he knew David's persistent behavior and remained silent by praying to God. Finally, he went near Ava and asked whether she needed a cab. Ava felt happy, wrote the address on the paper, and gave it to the driver.

"Will you take this girl to this address?" Ava asked and looked at Lucy, who became frightened and hugged her.

Ava caressed Lucy's hair and asked her not to worry about anything. Then, she noted the vehicle number and made Lucy sit inside the vehicle. Soon the car started, and Ava left the place looking at the watch.

After everyone had left the place, David came outside from the bushes and started walking with a smiling face. Within twenty minutes, he reached the school and looked at the driver approaching him. David told the driver not to speak with him and ran into the school. The driver did not understand David's behavior as he looked like an unknown person for the first time.

The clock sounded at 09:00 AM.

Lucy is reading a lesson with concentration and is not even speaking with the girl who sat beside her. Then, finally, the teacher came inside and looked at David, who entered the class without noise.

"David, Why are you late?" The Teacher asked angrily and threw the duster at him.

David tried to say something but stopped after seeing Lucy looking at him with surprise. He went outside and stood there till the class got over. The Principal who saw David standing outside went near him and asked him why he lately arrived?

David looked at Lucy but did not get the courage to speak about her. The Principal slapped David twice and asked him not to repeat such activities. David went inside the class, and everyone started laughing, looking at David, except Lucy.

After school had gotten over, Lucy ran with all children outside and saw her Dad, James waiting for her outside.

"Dad!" Lucy shouted, and ran towards him, but stopped when she saw David who got inside the car she had come.

James ran towards Lucy and kissed her cheeks with joy and happiness, but Lucy is not responding.

He took Lucy into his arms and looked in the direction Lucy was looking but did not find anything.

James looked at Lucy with surprise and asked her to come along. Lucy came to her senses and started ahead with her Dad by saying what happened in the school.

After a few minutes, James dropped Lucy at the house and looked at the watch. His heart is running towards the Bar but is becoming afraid to look at Lucy.

Lucy understood her Dad's fear and went inside without speaking as it became a routine for her.

James drove the vehicle towards Bar with a guilty feeling, and Lucy sadly looked at how her Dad went.

Lucy took a deep breath and sat before her books. Then, after some time, she heard the vehicle sound of James and ran towards the vehicle to hug her Dad, but stopped after seeing James, who came in an alcoholic state.
