Chapter 7: Lucy joined in MPC group

"Lucy, Where did you go? I am searching for you only." James said and opened the doors.

"Dad, If Mom is there, will she leave me like this till evening?" Lucy asked and went inside her room.

The words hit James' heart like a weapon, and he sat on the sofa looking at the photo of his wife.

After a few minutes, he pushed the doors of Lucy's room and went inside.

He saw Lucy hugging her Mom's photo and crying.

"Lucy, I am a Sales Executive, and our family needs to run with the salary that I get. You don't know how much pressure will be in these jobs. We need to run after targets and meet them by the month-end. Everything will change with a single mistake in these jobs. As a mature girl, you can understand why I speak like this." James said and kissed Lucy's forehead.

"Dad!" Lucy shouted and hugged him.

"I am sorry for taking the keys with me. Please forgive me." James said and looked at the paper that is there on the table.

"What is it?" James asked and took the paper into his hands.

"It is the College name where HEC Group is there. Tomorrow, I will go and bring the Application Form." Lucy said and wiped her tears.

"Who gave this paper?" James asked with surprise.

"Ava, Madam," Lucy said with irritation.

"It's OK. I will also come along with you tomorrow and drop you there. But, first, go and take a bath. Then, I will prepare dinner for us." James said and went away from the room.

After a few minutes, Lucy heard someone scolding her Dad and came outside.

"James, This is the final warning to you. We will come within one week. We will bring you on the road if you don't give us the amount." A guy who was in his forties shouted and went away.

James looked at Lucy and took a deep breath.

"Dad, Who are they?" Lucy asked and sat near him.

"Some office tensions. I will come within a few minutes. You go and eat the food." James said and went outside.

Lucy did not understand why her Dad was behaving like that and went to take dinner, as she knew where her Dad went.

After a few hours, James had an alcoholic effect and slept on the sofa.

Lucy covered him with a blanket and slept beside him.

On the following morning, Lucy woke up and looked at the Sofa.

"Dad, Where are you?" Lucy shouted and went inside his room.

But I couldn't find his dress anywhere.

Lucy understood that her Dad went for a job, and she controlled the tears in her heart only.

After a few hours, Lucy started to the College, which Ava told her.

"Lucy, Where are you going? Will you come in my Car?" Victor, her schoolmate, asked and got down.

Lucy did not speak anything and went away angrily.

"How dare she is to reject me?" Victor asked with revenge in his eyes and went away from there.

After a few minutes, Lucy reached the College and went inside.

"I want Admission to HEC Group. Will you please give me Admission?" Lucy asked.

"Oh, sorry! The Admissions are over for free seats, and now only Management Seats are available. You need to pay the amount to join the College." Forty years old, Benjamin said.

Lucy got up from the Chair and turned towards the Entrance to go away.

"What is your name?" Benjamin asked.

"There is no need to know the name when I won't join this College," Lucy said and opened the room doors.

"Lucy! Have you joined this College?" Victor asked with surprise.

"Victor, Do you know this girl?" Benjamin asked.

"Yes, Dad. Her name is Lucy. A Brilliant girl. Did she join here?' Victor asked.

"No. At present free seats are not there. I think the girl came for a free seat." Benjamin said.

"Dad, Please give her a seat in this College. It is my request." Victor said in a pleading manner.

"It's OK. I will admit the candidate as a special request. Ask her to join in the College." Benjamin asked and called AO.

"Give her Application Form," Benjamin said and asked Lucy to go along with AO.

She took the Application Form, and when she was about to sign, she saw Victor, who neared her.

"Lucy, Look how I gave a seat to you in this reputed College? If you had made friends with me, I could have changed your life. But, you never spoke with me and always made friends with that stupid David. So, forget him, and make friends with me. I will give you the best luxuries as gifts to you. What do you say?" Victor asked with a smiling face.

Lucy threw the Application Paper at Victor and ran away from there.

"Lucy, I won't leave you. I will teach you a lesson wherever you go." Victor shouted angrily.

After going to the house, Lucy ran into her room and started crying.

"David, No one can understand our pure friendship. Look how our schoolmate Victor spoke about you. Why are they having a grudge against our friendship?" Lucy asked, looking at the chain that David gave to her.

On that evening, James came to the house in an Alcoholic state.

Lucy ran towards her Dad but did not get a chance to speak with him. He already slept without eating food.

"It is better to take Science Subject than leave Dad like this. Why did Dad become a drunkard like this?" Lucy thought to herself and covered her Dad with a blanket.

On the next day, Lucy was Admission to MPC Group as Colleges had already started.

James doesn't know that his daughter joined a College, as he is always busy with financial tensions and targets. He forgot that he had a daughter, and life became mechanical to Lucy and James.

Lucy is studying day and night to pass the exams, and James is coming home lately with an Alcoholic effect.

The family bonding that must be there between two is moving a far distance.
