Chapter 3 Late And Accidents

Alexis's POV;

Buzz buzz......buzz buzz

What is that!

With a groan, i move closer to my bedside cupboard, trying to get my hands on what kept making that blaring noise.

"Hello." I say into the phone with my voice sounding groggy.

"Alexis Coleman the first, don't you tell me you are still sleeping! Get your lazy butt off your bed, I'll be picking you up in fifteen minutes!" A soft feminine voice spoke at the other side of the phone.

With her threat, My eyes open widely and see that its 7:30AM on my clock. I realized that i didn't set an alarm before going to sleep the day before. It's first day of senior year and I'm already late.

I should be in school by at least 7:20AM every weekday.

I rush out of my bed, sprinted to the bathroom where i brushed my teeth. I turn on the shower and got sprayed cold water.

"Could this day get any worse?" i mutter to under my breath.

I manage through through the freezing water and rushed out in my bathrobe.

I glanced through my closet of different colors of turtlenecks and sweaters brought out a yellow turtleneck and  brown baggy trousers.

I  comb my caramel brown hair. I tie my hair into a ponytail and rush downstairs and find Sophie making breakfast. I grab a toast gave her a quick hug before running out the door.

As i walked to the road i see jazz Honda civic slowing down when she notices me. I enter the car and greeted her, she was still applying lipstick even though we were late.

"It's enough Jazz we are late already!" I complained. She rolled her eyes and ignored what i said, she continued applying her lipstick like i didn't say anything.

"And........now I'm done. Listen girl you might not want to look good but i do." she said jokingly but with a little seriousness in her voice.

I really didn't know how our friendship lasted this long though we were polar opposites maybe its because she was so sweet or the fact that she didn't try to change the way i am or also the fact that she isn't embarrassed to be my friend because of the way i dress or maybe it's because she would always stick up for me when i got bullied. I really didn't know but i knew that our friendship would still last longer.

I was too busy thinking of all her attributes i didn't notice when she entered school and parked at her usual spot.

She tapped me on my shoulder "Aren't you getting off?" She asks chuckling.  I nod my head and take a deep breath as i unbuckle my seatbelt, open the door and get off.

I see the new freshmen running around the halls looking for their classrooms, as i wait for Jazz to lock the car. She walked to me and she noticed where my attention was.

"We were like that once." She commented with a smile on her face.

"We were young and dumb." I corrected and she chuckled.

We had got our schedule from the admin office and checked each other's out

We both sigh when we realize that we only had one class together, leaving me with that witch Christina.

"Seems someone woke up on the right side of the bed today."Jasmin said jokingly as she saw Andy walking over to us with a grin on his face.

"I agree." i added and we both chuckled.

Andy just stood there smiling, he grabbed my hand, "Let's go to our first class." I waved Jazz and told her we would meet up during lunch.

While at chemistry class Mr Wilson was talking about Matter and i was taking notes when the door opened and Kyle Matthews entered with a messy blonde hair but he still managed to look good with it.

"Mr Williams you are on time today, we only have twenty five minutes before this class ends." Mr Wilson said glancing at his watch.

Kyle smirked, he stood at the door, his eyes scannimf for a place to seat, for a second there our eyes meet, he broke tge connection as he moved and sat with a group of guys in the back.

I feel like a stalker.

I felt someone nudge my arm, i see Andy who leans in and whisper, "Who does this guy think he is, coming to class this time, and thinking he's the hottest guy in school." Andy scoffed.

"I don't know, he isn't even that good looking." i bluntly lied.

"Yes, i know right." he replied to me.

The bell rang, signifying the end of the period, Mr Williams announced a test that would be coming up on friday.

I just simply love taking tests it helps my brain in so many ways.

And that's how the classes just went by with Andy by my side and then it was time for lunch.

Andy and i both grabbed our lunch trays and made way to our usual table, we were arguing, because i was so engrossed in proving a point, I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings.

Any normal person would notice that i wasn't paying attention to where i was going, my feet were leading me.

I kept arguing and i felt my tray hit something, causing the food to pour on something, moved back and my tray fell.

My eyes widen.
