Chapter 10

She slowly recovered from the traumatic situation she was in just a while ago. She opened her eyes, feeling her body being carried. Tears started forming into her eyes when Hazaki’s face becomes visible to her eyes.

She is alive.

She was saved.

He opened the door of her house, still in his arms.

“I got the key from your bag. I’m sorry for stepping the boundaries.” He explained but she was too weak to answer him.

He gently put her down on the couch and positioned her injured leg into the top of the table. He looked for the first aid kit below the drawer of the television and went back to her. He sat on the couch beside the table, picking the materials to use to aid her.

"What happened?" Lianna asked him when he's putting alcohol in the cotton bud.

She saw the worry in his eyes.

"I was going to pick you up from work and I was so late to save you beforehand. I’m sorry."

Fear started building up to her again.

"I... I don't know who he was. He is a monster!" She stuttered, imagining how scary he looks and how he tasted her blood.

He stared at her eyes for some seconds before cleaning her injury.

"He is from the Palace of Yanderes. He is a pure blooded one. He tasted your blood. You have to stay away from him for about a kilometer so he couldn’t smell you."

"You should have killed him." She suddenly suggested, surprising herself from what she just said. She looked for his expression but there was not even a glint of surprise in him.

"I am not obliged to kill him and I don't have a reason to kill him."

She stiffened, realizing that she is acting like he should have killed that yandere for her sake.

It slapped her again, the reality that she was just considered as his friend. And that he feels nothing to her to kill that yandere on her behalf.

Was she expecting too much? Did she just assume that she will be saved by her with the means of her being special to him?

She looked down. Is this karma?

There are many guys she rejected for the sake of her standard, and now that she had finally grasped to it, it is nothing. There is the boundary between him and her. There is nothing special that is building up between them.

"Thank you." She mumbled, feeling all the agony that this is reality. She was just a friend of him and she will never have a yandere lover.

She met his eyes but she directly looked away. Now, she will really stop. She will stop dreaming about yanderes.

Hazaki sighed, noticing her sorrow.

"You're alone in this house again. Are you sure you can sleep alone?"

In this situation, Lianna knows she couldn't.

"Would you like me to stay?"

She looked at him, eyes were wide.

She didn’t expect him to say that.

She looked away after seeing the look in his eyes. Of course, he is just sympathized her but she couldn’t just decline the offer.

She slowly nodded, looking away not to meet his eyes.
