Chapter 1 A trip to the city

Everything happened so fast .When Alexa's Grandmother died ,She had no one to turn to except to her best friend Maggie who lived with her aunt.

Alexa had enough. Her uncle abandoned her at the age of 8. The same year she lost her parents. Her grandmother raised her, but she has passed away. Despite all that, Alexa worked hard .She worked at a restaurant right after her graduation and saved up some money. She was ready to face her uncle and take back what her father left behind.

Alexa woke up early that day. She was ready to go to the city. Ms Smith ,Maggie's Auntie, Was not in support of her sudden decision to leave for the city . It's been years ,Her uncle might not recognize her. But Alexa had other plans ,of course to take revenge on Luciano , her dear uncle. She knew her uncle was not going to recognize her , That's why she had plans of Applying for a job in her father's company. That way it would be easier to make her moves.

"Alexa , are you sure about this ? Ms Smith asked, with a genuine worry on her face. Alexa smiled.

"Yes Aunt , Don't worry about me. I can take care of myself, She said and continued to pack her bags.

Ms Smith Nodded her head.

" Please be very careful , The city is big and dangerous too . Be safe and call us so we know you are okay .

"Yes Alexa , call us everyday ,Maggie added .

" You guys are making it hard for me to leave, I will miss you so much." She hugged Maggie .

"Me too " Maggie hugged her back.

Alexa left the house and headed straight to the terminal to catch a bus, upon reaching, She quickly got on the bus , and after a few minutes the bus started off.

Hours later , Alexa was already in the city

"wow am finally here , Alexa spoke in relief, As she stood on the side of the road .

Alexa started by looking for a house to rent. She looked around but didn't find any and it was already getting dark.

" All my goodness, its getting dark and I haven't found a room yet. Alexasaid with worry on her face.

After a long search , Alexa finally found a room. It was full of students , but Alexa did not mind.

She paid for it and moved in immediately . Each room had two pipo in it , She introduced herself to the girl she met in the room she was given .

"Hi , my name is Alexandra but you can call me Alexa. Alexa said with a smile on her face .

"Nice meeting you Alexa, my name is Kimberly, But you can call me Kim. kim replied.

" wow this room is beautiful, I love the decorations, Alexa complimented.

"it was actually a friend I was staying with who did that , Kim replied.

" Oh she was really good at it. Alexa said while smiling and glazing around the room.

They both went to bed that night and the next morning , Alexa woke up early and was ready to go and look for work, but didn't know where start from. Alexa was so young when she left the city Hence, she didn't even know where her late father's Company was.

"Oh my goodness , Now where am I going to start looking for that Company, the city is so big , I don't even know the routes around here , Alexa said to herself with frustration on her face.

Kim overhead her talking to herself.

" Hey what is the matter? Kim asked. I heard you talking to yourself. Kim added.

"Oh never mind, was just trying to figure out where to start looking for a job . Alexa replied.

" you can start from anywhere , I mean at supermarket just any where .Kim said .

"oh yea , I guess , I can do that while waiting to apply at tiger shark . Alexa said.

" wait in that big company? Kim asked .don't even bother , they won't pick you I already tried but my application was turned down .Kim advised. That's why am here working as a waitress. She added.

"You know the company? Alexa asked.

" who doesn't? Kim replied .its big and well know .

"Can you take me there one of these days? Alexa asked ,I really want to see it and apply there , am going to be picked am very sure about that .Alexa added with Anger on her face.

" wow, you sound very sure about it, OK sure I can take you there tomorrow am free ,Kim replied. But right now I need to run am late for work .She added.

"alright see you later then .Alexa replied with a smile her face .
