ALEXIA POV

"What's going on here, you two know each other" Nick asked breaking the silence

"Of course we know each other? We both went to the same high school, right?" Stella asked looking at me.

Nick and Dave were practically waiting for answers, I had no choice but to nod in response

"Why didn't you ever mention it Alexia?" Nick asked

"She may not want you to know, but whatever, what matters right now is that we are all enjoying our food, join us Alexia" Stella said again

"I'm sorry but I can't, I'm working" I told them and gave them a fake smile, Wanted to leave but someone holding my hand stopped me

I turned around and saw Dave holding my hand

"Just stay a few seconds, we can make a perfect four, if you're worried about your boss, I'll make excuses for you" he said looking at me

I looked at Nick and saw him mined from Dave's hands on mine

I knew he was angry and it was because Dave was there

Why did both have to be there at the same time.

"Sit together" Dave urged me

Having no choice, I slid into one of the seats while my colleagues brought the food to the table.

I could feel their eyes on me and I didn't dare look at them

"So tell us, how did you two meet, you could have been best friends, right?" Dave asked Stella and I

“Of course we were! We were both classmates in middle school,” Stella replied.

I looked at her and she gave me an evil smile that Nick and Dave didn't notice.

"Alexia, are you quiet, is something bothering you?" "Dave asked and put his hand on mine

I looked at Nick on Stella and they were looking at us, it was a bit awkward.

Why did I have to be invited to their table, I thought sadly

"Look at the time, I spent quite a bit of time with you guys, I better get back to my job, you're all rich and you can live without working but I have to work to survive, excuse me" J I said and I got up

"I already told you, I'm going to talk to your boss........"

"Let her go, she has to mind her job" Nick said for the first time in a while

"Why are you meddling ?" Dave asked

Those two wouldn't really start this at my workplace, would they? I was thinking as I looked at the entrance and it was during this same period that my boss chose to show up

"I have to go, my boss just arrived" I said and quickly returned to the counter

The rest of the evening I focused on my work, it was pretty suffocating having three pairs of eyes staring at me, but I had to do my job.

I was relieved when I saw Stella and Nick leaving the restaurant.

He had his arm wrapped around Stella and it made me sad, I kept watching them until they went out of sight

I turned around and saw Dave looking at me, he smiled and it made me feel weird, giving him an angry look, I continued with my work

It was nine o'clock at night and time to go home.

Dave had left a while ago, grabbing my bag, I exit with the intention of going straight home.

"Finally you're free" hearing Dave's voice behind me, I turned around and saw him standing by the wall looking at me

"Why are you still here?" I asked

"I am waiting for you"

"Why ? "

"To take you home, your best friend didn't bother to wait for you, so I decided to take you home, get in" He said as he opened his car door

"Don't bother, I told you before, I'm not interested, so leave me alone, find someone else to bother" I said and walked past him

"Is it because of Nick, because you love him" His words stopped me

How did he know? Nobody, not even mom, ever noticed my true feelings for Nick and now this problem, some asshole knows.

"Am I right? You love your best friend" He said come and stand in front of me

"What.......Who wouldn't love their best friend or girlfriend, I love Nick like a best friend should, so what?" I said trying to cover myself

He smiled and kept staring at me 'liar I saw the way you keep looking at Nick and that's not a look a best friend is supposed to give you're really sure heels for him, right? " He asked

"What is it? Are you some kind of questioner" I asked

"No, I'm just trying to understand you" He replied

"There's nothing to figure out about me, leave me alone, act like we've never met before, please" I begged and walked past him again

"I don't think I can do this" he said behind me but I kept walking

"And I wonder what Nick would think when I tell him his best friend is in love with him" That definitely made me quit

I turned to look at him and he smiled "Should I just call him and ask him what he thinks" He replied

"You wouldn't" As soon as I said that he pulled out his phone and started dialing his number

Immediately I ran towards him trying to stop him from making the call

"Don't call him, don't call him!" I yelled at him

"Well, I won't, you're really in love with him, aren't you?" He asked again

"Well tell me Dave, what do you want for you to leave me alone" I asked and immediately knew that was a bad question to ask him

"Let's see, I'm going to have to think about it, if I have to keep your secret, I will need a lot of things from you" he said smiling

For others his smile would have melted their hearts but for me he wouldn't even move a thing.

"But first get in the car, I'll take you home," he said.

"Should I?" I asked

"It's a do I or I can just change my mind and decide to call Nick" He said showing me his phone

I sighed in resignation and got into his car and he drove off.

It's a shame to love someone and for them not to be returned, that's one of the reasons I kept my mouth shut and never told Nick how I felt

I thought my secret was well hidden but this annoying prick had to find out and now he's sending me threats

"Stop sulking and smile, people will think you've been kidnapped and remember I'm a star, I don't want my image to be destroyed," he said.

"It would have been better if your image had been destroyed" I whispered

"Did you say something" He asked

"No I didn't, park here, I'll walk" I said

“Afraid already? "He asked

"Afraid of what?" I replied

"Don't worry I'll only drive you until we get to the front of the house I won't go with you and I won't tell Nick everything and I doubt he's at home he could still have fun oh! I shouldn't have said that right?"

I glared at him and he smiled back, he was smiling the only thing he knew how to do I thought

As soon as the car pulled up outside Nick's parents' house, I tried to open the door only to find it locked.

"Tomorrow I will give you my answer"

"Answer? "I asked

"My answer about your secret, I'll tell you tomorrow if I keep your secret or if I tell Nick, now go and rest" He said unlocking the car

I got out of the car and watched him go

"Why is he the one who discovers my secret" I thought while disturbing my hair

I was so worried that I used the main entrance instead of the worker entrance

I was still wondering what her answer would be when I heard Nick's voice

I followed the sound and saw him on the garden bench talking into the phone

"Of course last night was great, I enjoyed every time we spent together," he said on the phone.

"No it wasn't messed up with Dave and Alexia with us"

"She's just a friend, that's all, I think so"

"Fine then, but can I see you tomorrow too" he asked looking so expected and full

"So tomorrow is it okay? See you tomorrow Stella" He said and cut the call, smiling happily

I hardly ever see him smile like that before and now it's all because of this big bully, he smiles.... What a badass, I thought going to our quarters

"Friend! Since when did you start addressing me as a friend, isn't that supposed to be the best friend, such a cruel asshole" I mumbled to myself

"What's going on? Why do you look so angry?" My mother asked as they walked in

"Nothing mum, I just feel very tired" I said take off my jacket

"I already told you to stop, you should only focus on your studies" she said

"But I have to help you mom and that's what I'm going to keep doing" I said giving her a hug

"Thank you my child, I just hope it doesn't disturb your schooling" she asked as she hugged me tightly in her arms.

"No mom, it won't" I replied already thinking about tomorrow

What would be the response of this disturbing idiot....

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up feeling stressed and worried, I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about Dave's response and also about Nick having another day with Stella.

Would Stella be a different case for him, would he fall in love with her? I kept thinking as I left the neighborhoods towards the school

Came out to see Nick waiting for me by the car

I smiled, felt happy that at least he was still going to take me to school

"Don't you dare smile, you have some explanations to give" He said looking at me sternly

"Me, explain what?" I asked

"Come on, we'll talk on the way" he said walking on the other side without bothering to open the door for me.

I opened the door and sat down feeling worried about what we need to talk about

Could it be that Dave has already told him........ No he won't, he definitely won't......

“Why was Dave at the restaurant and why was he talking like you guys were close” He asked as the driver left

"I don't know how or why he came to the restaurant and I'm not close to Dave ok"

"So what was yesterday?"

"Dave is someone who poses certain problems and if he was here yesterday, he only came there to annoy me"

"Are you sure? Dave is not someone you should be mingling with"

I can say the same for you too but you wouldn't listen to me if I told you that Stella is also someone you should stay away from, I thought

"I'm sure of it and I'm definitely not going to mingle with him" I said

"That's good, I don't want you hurting yourself" he said

I'm already hurt by you already, I thought I'd watch it featured

"Oh it's Stella, stop the car," he said, spotting Stella walking among other students as they all headed towards

"He'll drop you off, I'll come with Stella" He said to me and got out of the car to meet her

As the car drove off, I continued to watch him and Stella.

The car stopped in front of the school and I got out.

I was about to walk in when I saw Dave come out.

I turned wanting to go the other way but hearing him call my name I stopped

"Don't tell me you're avoiding me" He asked me as he stood in front of me

"Oh...Fuck...of course not, why would I avoid you" I replied giving him a fake smile

"Maybe it's because of your secret" he said

"No, No" I answered quickly but Dave wasn't listening, he was busy staring

I followed his gaze and saw Nick with Stella watching us not so far

I looked at Dave and saw him smile and like he noticed my gaze on him he looked down on me

"I wonder what Nick will say to what I have to say to him"

I was left shocked watching him and then Nick

No he mustn't tell Nick, he mustn't tell him..........
