Chapter 6 The truth

Emily's POV.

"Em, you know we have to look after this child for 4 weeks sooo I was wondering if you look after it for 2 weeks and I will for 2 weeks, and we could maybe meet the weekends and have family time huh?" He said with smirk.

And I started laughing, "I made Emily David laugh TWICE in one day, damn it must be a bad day." He said again.

And I just smiled, "Your idea for the project is great you can come over to my house, Jake is always working so It'd be nice to have someone around." I said and Luca looked confused and I realized that Luca doesn't know about what goes on at home.

"Whose Jake? And what happen to your parents?" He asked.

"Jake is my brother and my parents passed away." I said and tried to hold back the tears.

"I'm so sorry Em." He said and pulled me into a hug.

"Don't worry I'm fine." I said and hugged him back. But Victoria was standing right there and I quickly moved out of his arms from around me.

"Well, well if it isn't little Emily trying to get sympathy from Luca. Does he know that you the reason your parents died." Victoria said and tears welled up in my eyes again.

"Victoria stop!" Luca said with a voice full of anger.

Just as she was about to say something else Luca put he's arm around my shoulder and started taking me out of the school.

"I don't know what happen to them but I definitely know it wasn't your fault, don't listen to that bitch." He said

"It was my fault." I whispered hoping he didn't hear but obviously he did and gave me a look that held sympathy and pity.

"Don't show me pity Luca, it's a long story and we not even that close yet, you just my partner in a project." I said and that's when our baby doll started crying and I sighed the baby actually saved me.

"Duty calls." I said and started to walk away

"Em, I'm gonna make sure that I'm more than just a partner in a project to you." He screamed as I carried on walking and I turned around and just smiled at him and waved.
