Chapter 11 The talk

Luca's POV.

I took Emily up to her room, laid her in her bed and took of her shoes gave her a kiss on her forehead she started swatting her hand over her forehead and I held back a chuckle.

I closed the door quietly and walked back to the living room to see Jake sitting with beers in his hands, "Come on, let's talk." He said and I walked over and took the beer from him and sat on the couch.

"I used to do this with your brother, he was my best friend." He said while looking at me.

"I didn't know that, Jason never spoke about you." I replied.

"We were in gang together, you probably know that already, your brother was the leader." He said and I nodded and he continued, "Jason and I met in pre-school, we were inseparable, you were really young so you wouldn't know but Jason and I started the gang 4 years earlier, when we were 16 we used to be feared a lot. We used to do underground fighting to earn money. Our parents were always rich but Jason and I wanted to earn our own money. My parents and Jason were killed two years ago around the same time, Emily thinks they were in an accident because of her but they were actually killed." He said with tears in his eyes and I just stared at him. "Emily doesn't know, but I'm still in the gang I need to find out who killed them I know you a good guy Luca but you can tell Emily any of this, she's just opening up and that's only because of you, Victoria hits her and bullies her in school but I can't do anything because Victoria knows who killed them and she uses that against me." He said and I was speechless I didn't know any of this.

I know Jason was killed in the hospital but I didn't know by who, I only knew about his girlfriend I wasn't told any of this.

"Can I trust you to look after my baby sister Luca?" He asked.

"Of course, she means a lot to me." I replied and he smiled at me.

"I want you to join the gang Luca." He said and I looked at him in shock, "No I can't, I don't want to." I replied.

"We need you, they don't know about you and we need you for our plan." He said.

"I need time to think Jake." I replied and he nodded, "I'm gonna go sleep now, you can take the guest room or you can sleep with Emily as long as I can trust you not to do anything to her." He said I'm joking manner and I gave him a sad smile, he was trying to lighten up the mood.

"Luca." He called and I looked at him, "Think about what I said please." He said and I nodded.
