Chapter 4

Few more days after Mary got discharged. We still don't know who did this. The cctb footage from that day are all deleted like it has been planned. After that incident Dad installed more cctv and now we have three security guard. The village also tighten their security because that complains how does those guys enter the village.

Mary can't go around now until the suspect is captured so we are just visiting her. One day when we visited her after school, Kuya James was there at her room they are whispering at each other. When she saw us she looks nervous while Kuya James has no reaction.

Their helper is the one open the door for us. Auntie Helen and Uncle Joe is not around so we go straight at Mary's room. She's sleeping peacefully so we let her. Her phone beep and her lockscreen got our attention. "Who's that?" I said.

Khyle slowly get Mary's phone. Her lockscreen is a baby picture when I saw it. "It's my brother." I exclaimed. We know her password so we open it and another shocking picture is there. It was her and Kuya. I don't know where it is and when. She didn't tell me.

"Do you know about this?" I asked Khyle. "No. She never mention about that." We are whispering at each other when Mary open her eyes and shock when she saw what we are looking.

"Give it to me." She quickly grab her phone and turn it off. "You are now keeping a secret from us." Khyle said and I nod my head sign that I agree.

She looks nervous. "Have you eaten? Let's eat down stairs." She is changing the topic. I make my eyes smaller. "Hmm, something smell fishy." Khyle and I laugh at what I said.

"So, tell us or we will leave now?" Khyle. "Okay, fine." Mary surrender to us. We sat at her bed. "Tell us now."

"Remember when you asked us out recently. I said I have things to do. After James send you home. We met." Her cheeks is blushing. So her tears when we ditch classes has meaning. I am happy for Mary but I hope my brother won't hurt her.

"Don't tell James that I you guys already know." We did the promise sign. I am excited for what she's about to say. "Okay.. He.. he is courting me now." She said in a small voice.

"Oh my!" Khyle and I jump out of excitement. After many maany years, my brother has taste now. I don't want to push him to Mary back then so I never asked him to look at Mary more than my friend like she should look at Mary as a woman.

While jumping with Khyle, I realize that my brother is courting someone. Like courting! He never do courtship. "Kuya James is courting you?" I am late reaction I know.

"Since when?"

She brush her hair. "Last week?" I smiled at her. "I like you as my sister in law since we are friends for a decade now." She laugh with me. Khyel pouted. "You guys are famiy now. How about me?"

We laugh at her reaction. "I'll say yes after I'm fully recover."

We go down stairs to eat some snacks. "Jelai you're the only one that will be single when Mary say yes to James." Khyle reminded me and that makes me think. She's right but I'm fine. I'll wait and I'm not rushing things. "We have a terrible traffic, maybe he's one of the men waiting for the green light." I tease myself and they laugh. At least I can make them laugh.

Mary told us about the girl we saw at the mall. Kuya James explains to her that the girl is Keanne's cousin, one of Kuya James friends. Keanne is busy that day and he promise his cousin that he will bring her to the mall before she goes back to the U.S so he asked help from Kuya James

Mary is finally okay now. To day is her first day going back to school and Mary told us that they are now official so here I am teasing my brother. "Kuyyaaa!!!" I shake him like what I always do

"Kuya James! Wake up!" He didn't reply again. I know how to make him ready as fast as he can. "Kuya James, its Mary!" And there we go. He gets up and look at me. "What? Where? What happened?"

I giggled. "She texted me. She said that you will fetch her today." I reminded him maybe he forgot? "Fuck!" He run towards the bathroom to take a bath.

It only took him few minutes and his done. I open the front door when he close it. "You can't join me today. I will be with Mary."

"What? How can I go to school? and also Mary is my friend. She won't mind me."

He shook his head. "No." and run towards the driver seat and leave me. How can I go to school now? Mom and Dad is already gone. They have the driver. I enter the house to get the key of my car but it is nowhere to be found. Amazing! What am I going to do now?

I have no choice but to commute. I took the tricycle (one of the transportation in the Philippines) and when I'm in front of the school I saw Robin's car. I don't know what to do so I stop the black car that is going to enter the school. He horn so loud because he also bump into me. He gets out of his car and damn boy! He's handsome. This is the first time that I will be seeing him here. New student?

Robin is near so I pull his necktie towards me. "Hi love." He looks so shock. I touch his face but he move for me not to touch her. "Are you waiting for me that long?" I said with the cute voice. I saw Robin is looking at us. We are blocking the entrance so he horn at us. I roll my eyes at him. "Let's go inside, love."

He looks like confused and mad at me but continue what I said. When I enter his car, I could smell him especially earlier when I'm so close to him.

"Who the hell are you?" He said seriously. "I'm Haylee Jelai Navarro. I'm sorry for the trouble." There is no emotion at his face right now. "Before I do that what is your name?" I asked.

"Fuck your so nuisance. Get out!" I pouted at him before finally going out his car. Who is he? He's so snob but handsome.

Mary Claire's POV

I was waiting for James for almost an hour now. Where the hell is he?

When he arrives I thought he's with Jelai but not. He said she's already at school. When we got inside the school, James insisted to guide me until I enter my room. I was shock when Jelai took a picture of us.

"Jelai, stop it." I said and take a seat. I was having a bad morning. I hate how James makes me wait for me because he forgot that he will fetch me. Our relationship is just starting but he's so annoying.

"Are you on period?" Jelai asked when James left.

"No, why?"

She giggled. "You are so moody." I just laugh at her. I didny mean to.
