"What the hell is wrong with you!?" I yell at Sophie

"I should be asking you that! What were you thinking bringing your past into our lives!" She yelled back

"I didn't bring him here. He found me" i hissed, terribly annoyed for treating Kyle that way

"Lexi, you know how much he hurt you years back. Why are you still so naive?"

"Me! I'm naive?! I'm sorry for ruining your life with my naiveness. That also doesn't give you the right to treat him like that" i spat furiously

"Treat him how? He deserves it" she defended herself

"You always throw him out! You have no fucking right to do that! You're not dad and you're certainly not mom!" I hissed

"Whose arms did you cry into when he broke your heart?"

"Oh my god, you are impossible." I say angrily and walked upstairs and closed the door loudly so she'd hear.

I can't imagine how Kyle feels after how my sister spoke to him. Sophie is so unbearable, everything was going great till she came in.

A gentle knock came from the other side of my door.

"Go away!" I thundered

"I'm coming in then" she said loudly before coming in and i turn my face to the window.

"Lexi, you know i hate it when we fight, we haven't had an argument like this since mom died. Now because of that boy you're fighting with me."

"Do you hear yourself? You're blaming kyle for nothing, did he tell me to fight with you? No, we're fighting because you were rude to him for no reason." I spoke up

"Okay. Let's both calm down," she said and took a deep breath. "I just don't want you to get hurt again, you remember the last time you trusted him?"

"He hurt me but i also did the same to him, i left him in that motel" i reply remembering the letter i wrote to him.

"I want you to be happy, and not get hurt"

"Anyone that sees you will think you were the one that he hurt and not me" i teased her and she smiled

"Because Alexis, you're my everything. If anyone hurts you, they hurt me too"

"But I'm not a kid anymore, i know how to take care of myself."

"Does he know that you're.."

"No. Well he's not sure"

"Let's keep it that way."

"You know, you should be glad he came today." I proudly say

"Why?"

"I could have died. I had food poisoning and i fainted, luckily Kyle was there and he took me to the hospital."

"I didn't know that. Do you have a fever or something?"

I shake my head and Sophie pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead before leaving to her room. Since mom died we've been inseparable.

After Sophie had left for work, i called Stacey and told her to give me Kyle's phone number, after so many breathing exercises to stabilise my breathing i called him.

"Um hello? This is Macy i j-"

Did he just, i can't believe he hung up on me. Maybe he was still mad, I'd be mad too if a stranger treated me like trash.

I didn't go to the office today i just decided to stay home and rest. I ate and watched TV until there was a knock at the door.

"It's you?" I say when i open the door

"Yes it is" Kyle answered me and let the door open wider so he'd come in and he did.

"Is your sister home?" He asked sheepishly and i shake my head. " I'd like to apologize for yesterday, she was in a mad mood when she came home yesterday"

"Are you sure? It was like she hated me for something"

"Why would she hate you when she doesn't know you"

"So, remember how i called you some other name? I told you that you were Alexis and all, but you said you weren't. It was because you look so much like her, maybe older but you definitely look like her. The point of what I'm trying to say is that, you might not be Alexis, but it's still fine, I'd like us to be friends, if you are or aren't Alexis. So what do you say? Friends?" He said stretching his hand

I sat there in thought, and took his hand "friends, Atleast you know for a fact that I'm not who you're looking for"

I felt sparks running from my hands to all over my body. He still has the same effect that he had on me eight years ago.

"I'm sorry. It's just that i haven't seen her in years and your green eyes, it's exactly like hers was"

"Who is Alexis?"

"Alexis," he smiled before continuing, "She was a girl from high school, beautiful, intelligent and very passionate. She was my girlfriend and well she was the one that thought me what love was. But because of how i am, i cheated on her with her best friend and also the reason i dated her first was because of a bet, but i didn't know that bet would cause so much damage to me. I was fine before i met her, i was a playboy, but then she came into my life and i actually fell in love with her but i guess my past punished me, she found out about the bet and her best friend and to top it all, her mom died. She moved away and i searched for her, i found her but she left me, she told me to never search for her. But the worst part was that she did it in a letter, she didn't tell me face to face or a call, she ended it all with a letter. I moved here to forget and my father told me it'd be a good plan for business if i married his friend's daughter, Penelope. I was still trying to rebuild my life until I saw you and boom everything came back." Kyle narrated to me and it sounded like i was a monster for leaving him with a letter.

"I'm so sorry." I said trying to not look suspicious.

"Whatever. It doesn't matter because she doesn't care, she's probably somewhere with another dude while I'm here moping about her"

"She isn't!" I blurt out and i curse myself immediately the words came out

"Meaning?"

"I mean she probably isn't with any other dude, you're just over- thinking the whole situation." I defended

"OK"

"So where's Penelope?"

"She's in Paris with her mom, doing some shopping i guess."

"Oh, do you want to eat something? Or drink?"

"How about we order a pizza?"

"Great."
