“You are jealous of me. You may be right that you are more beautiful than me but beautiful is from the eyes of its owner. Your wicked character and your craziness are your weakness,” I said. She moved toward me, she smacked my face with her hand drawing blood from my nose. I groaned. I gave her a blow on her stomach. She collapsed on the floor and lost consciousness.
I was panicking, I scurried to her. I wriggled her. She was on the floor motionless. Sweet sweat formed on my head.
“Chloe, wake up, I am sorry,” I screamed.
She refused to wake up.
“Where is your bathroom,” Matt said. I glanced at him and wondered why he was asking that question.
I pointed to the door by my right. He went there and appeared back with a bowl of water.
He poured the water on Chloe, she sneezed. I moved closer to her. She pulled me away from her.
She hissed, I tried to come closer to her but she threw me off back.
“Chloe, I am sorry,” I said amidst tears. She hissed, she stood up and walked out. I sat on the bed.
“You need to take it susceptible,” Matt said.
“Thank you,” I said. He sat beside me, he grabbed me to him in a way that my head laid on his chest.
He stroked my back. It was like a paradise.
The body that was in a panic some minutes ago was now stable.
“Do you realize that your eyebrow reminded me of my late mother? She had the same color as yours. She was the most beautiful person I have come across apart from you,” Matt said and I smiled.
“Your smile looks like a shining star in the sky, the furnace of your heartbeat leads to the starting point of my countenance. The hotter it is, the cold my heart beats for you, the colder it is, the faster my heart beats for you. In the cambial of my heart, I find the flourish you,” Matt said. I rose from his shoulder. I looked deeper into his eyes. My eyes bloomed.
“Nimbi!” I exclaimed. He used his fingers to silent me.
“You are Nimbi?” he nodded.
Tears rolled off my eyes as I remembered what happened some years back. That was a story for another day.
“You are not dead?” I asked in disbelief.
“I am not dead,” he said.
“How come? I saw your corpse back then, how do you imagine to be alive,” I said wondering how he tried to be alive.
I still don’t know why I haven’t recognized him. He looked the same, it was only that he had grown up.
“I wasn’t dead, I only suffered from constipation as a result of being suffocated. Do you want to know who tried to kill me?” he asked. I nodded iI a negative.
“Your father,” he whispered into my ear, I flinched.
“What? daddy?” I asked. He covered my mouth with his hand.
