NO WAY FOR DYING

Lucas was uncertain whether to go back to his mansion, or he should go ahead to meet his mother. His phone buzzed. It was his mother.

“Hello, mother…” he whispered.

“Son, why aren’t you here yet?” she inquired.

“I am on the way, her highness,” he mumbled

“Okay,” she said and hanged up the call.

He decided to go with Ana to see the Queen. He pulled into the driveway. The royal chaperones came to unlock the car door for him.

“My lord!” they whispered and bowed.

He ignored them. He unlocked the door for the dramatic Ana.

Ana was peeping around the palace as if she was seeing heaven. Even if the palace wasn't heaven. To her, it has many sections. The building was extremely huge.

There were so many structures. The royals are so considerably wealthy.

“Woah! This is so beautiful!” she muttered

He pulled her to himself and leads her toward the door. They held each other hands like lovers.

“Oh at last the prince brings a bride.”

“Oh, that can’t be the prince bride. She looks like a pauper.”

“Her highness and the king will never approve her”.

“Princess Diane will make it hell with her.”

“My son,” the Queen said as she walked toward him.

She hugged him.

“Son, I have missed you so much,” she said.

“I missed you more mother,” he said.

“Come sit down, Son. Come tell the queen how you are faring,” the Queen said.

She leads the way. Lucas pulled Ana with him.

He sat down. Ana wanted to sit when the queen resisted her.

“Get that your filthy carcass up from my couch,” the Queen yelled at her.

“Mother, you shouldn’t embarrass my guest,” Lucas said.

“Do you want her to contaminate my expensive couch with her dirty carcass, by the way, who is she?,” the Queen asked as she grinning angrily at Ana.

“She is my new friend,” he whispered.

“Your friend? Lucas. Is she the reason why you refused to marry Diana?” she asked in anger,

“Oh, Mother! No!” he said

“Don’t you have a sense of disposition? You are a prince. Can’t you see how she dress? Even the maid that cleans my shoes is better than her,” the Queen said angrily.

“Mother!” the prince called.

“Don’t, mother me. Has the scumbag feed you with cribs, you can detect how pale you are? Her parents and all her generation can’t even afford the shoe you are wearing,” she said.

Ana bubbled with outrage.

“Her Highness, with due respect ma, please never refers to my family. I may not be able to afford the shoe he is wearing. But I possess dignity as a mortal,” Ana said bowing.

The queen slapped her. Ana flinched. The prince was shocked.

“What dignity can pauper have? You bampot! A nonentity and a pauper, how dare you use your filthy and stinking mouth before me,” she said as she wanted to slaps her again.

Ana gripped her hand on air. The queen was stunned.

“Your highness, pardon me for doing this. If it is not the respect I have for your son. I will have known what to do to my father dogs,” Ana said as she lowers her hand and she walked toward the door as tears plummet from her eyes

“Mother, can you see?” Lucas said.

“What facet of your sense is affected. You stared as that pauper babbled to me,” the Queen said as she begins to pace up and down.

Lucas doesn’t know what to do anymore. He rushed out.

“Where is Ana?” he inquired from the guard at the gate.

“She went through the right path my lord,” one of the guards said pointing indicating the right direction.

“Open the damn gate,” he screeched. He hopped into the car.

“Lucas! Lucas!” The queen calls. He ignored her and zoomed off.

He droves through the right road. He meets no one that resembles Ana. He was thwarted. He decided to drives further. He did.

He saw an image of Ana going into another road. But the road is a crowd. The people are moving in and getting to somewhere.

The street is very busy.  He halted the car with his eyes dashing the image of Ana, He followed the direction he saw her taking. Drifting and overtaken people. Everyone was on his or her own.

He tried to conceal his identity with an eyeshade. He spotted her far away. He was happy.

He wanted to approach her when his eyes caught a man in a hood pointing a silencer at her from her back without her noticing it. She stopped to peep at a mall.

The stuff on the array captured her awareness. Lucas howled so she will a hint. She did. The howl was around her father had taught her. The assailant corked the gun.

She dodged. It went through the shopping mall glass and entered into a shopper's shoulder. He groaned. The glass went down. Everybody freeze to gaze at the scene.

Lucas leads Ana away. But another shot went into Ana's shoulder as they are attempting to flee. Ana groaned.

Lucas carried her in a bridal style. Everybody stared at them not understanding what happened. They don’t hear any gunshots. The gun used was a silencer. They started identifying the prince. They began video shooting and snapping pictures.

Lucas ignored them. He carried the groaning Ana into his car. There are bloodstains all over him.

He laid her by her chest. He gently removed the bullet. Ana groaned. He took off his shirt. He bandaged it around the bullet hole. He hopped into the car and drove off to his private hospital.

Axton swore as he watched Lucas carrying Ana. He was afraid to shot Lucas.

He scrutinized further as he pulled out the bullet he plowed there with his silencer. He took off his phone. He dialed the boss.

“Specimen H shots, rescued and the bullet removed,” he said.

“Follow to know her proceeding location,” the voice over the phone said.

“Alright, boss!” he said. He walked to his car. He hopped in and stalked Lucas's car.

Lucas observed a car trailing him. He picked his phone and contacted his security.  He peeped back at Ana. She was napping.

“Send five guards to my private hospital and another five guards to hallway lane, they should come fully loaded,” Lucas yelled over the phone as he speeds up.

His men met him in the hallway. He put on the telecast in his car

“Operation alert!!” he said

“Signal sight,” a guard said from another car.

“Give the driver in that blue rover a pursuit, I want him in the penalty room,” Lucas said.

“Operation took notice!” the guard said.

“You must not fail,” Lucas said over the telecast.

“Yes, my lord!” the guard said.

Lucas speeds up. The guards commenced the trailing of the blue rover. Axton wasn’t conscious of another car meandering him. His only priority was to get Lucas’s location Axton was about to undertake Lucas when the traffic light turned red. He cursed.

Lucas had driven off before the traffic light change. The light turned green. He ignited his car. He drove off. He attempted to predict the road where Lucas may have passed.  He drove into the prime street he saw. He halted the car. He picked his phone and dialed.

“Specimen H location lost,” he said just then someone smashed him on his head with a shaft.

He lost unconsciously. Lucas guards insulated his phone. They hauled him into their car. They plopped him inside the boot, they hopped into the car and they zoomed off.

Lily stood up from the bed. She paced up and down. What did Lucas assume when he finds out that she had left yesterday? She thought. Her dad had executed his threats.

He had locked her up, seized the door key, and took her phone even her laptop. He only released the key when he wasn’t around. Then he will give it to the guard with an instruction never to unlock the door for anyone other than the maid. If he compromises he should count himself dead.

She was only bestowed a lot of books to read is boring. She was very boring. And books can’t prevent it.

She craved for Lucas. Her mind darted back to their eternities together. She smiled.  Her maid unlocked the door and brought in her food. She glimpsed at the guard mounted at her door. She scoffed. She signaled to the maid to bolt the door. She obeyed.

“Come and massage my back,” Lily whimpered to her.

She moved toward to massage her back. As she was doing so. She erroneously clutched her with her fingers

“Ahh!” Lily wailed.

“Pardon me, madam!” the maid stopped and knee before her.

If it were normal days, Lily would have slapped her. The new Lily was surprised by her maid. She wondered that maybe the lock-in had reformed her.

“Okay, get me those pairs of red shoes,” Lily said. She hastily stood up to get it.

The maid fetched the shoes.

“Put it on!” she ordered her. The maid was astounded.

Lily, she known will never bestow any maid her stuff, she preferred to thrash them away. Her sister was even awful.

“Madam,” the maid struggled to talk, but she cuts her short.

“Don’t you like them?” Lily inquired.

“I like them, madam,” the maid replied

“It is yours now!” she said.

“Madam, it’s mine now? Thank you, madam!” she said as she bounced up. she put on the shoes cheerfully. It suited her.

“Do catwalk. Let me watch you,” Lily said smiling.

She walked erroneously. Lily laughed. The maid stumbled on the bed. She quickly stood up.

“Pardon me, madam!” she said instantly.

“Do catwalk again,” Lily said as she ignored her pleading.

“Woah! I hope I won’t fall again?” she asked

“No, just stand upright, let me show you,” Lily said. She stood from the bed.

She walked toward the other side. And walked back. The maid tried to parody her but fall. She and the maid laughed. She recollected her food.

“My food is cold,” Lily said

“Sorry, madam. I will prepare another one for you,” the maid said.

“Okay, but I want to see my sister. I have missed her so much,” Lily said

“But, boss says that you should be ground,” the maid hesitated.

“You can help me. It is just for a day, I will give you five thousand dollars and you will pick another shoe and any cloth of your choice,” lily said.

The maid’s face bloomed.

“Okay, what do you want me to do?” the maid asked

“I will write something and you will give it to Chloe, She will tell you what to do,” Lily said.

She writes in a paper and gave it to the maid

“Make sure you give it to, Chloe, Don’t let anyone see you especially dad,” she said.

The maid collected it. She lurked it under her dress. She went out with the cold food. Lily sat down as she waits for her sister.

Lucas drove into the hospital. His guards, doctors, and nurses are already waiting for him.

They transmitted Ana into the seater The nurse swung her on a sketcher into the hospital. Elvis walked to Lucas.

“My lord, the assailant has been taken, but the transmission in circulation isn’t favoring,” Elvis said worryingly.

“The people are posting and commenting that you stab a lady and carry her into your car,” Elvis said.

“Shit!” Lucas sworn

“How did it happen, pardon me for asking?” Elvis asked.

“The guy use is a silencer,” Lucas said.

“There is another casualty,” Elvis said.

“What do you mean?”

“A shopper was shot on his chest. Nobody knows who shot. All the arrow is a point on you,” Elvis said.

“The guy is the only one, that shot. We need to get something from him,” Lucas said.

“Yes, can we go?” Elvis asked.

“It is risky to leave her here alone. She knew a lot about the undercover guards. I want her alive,” Lucas said.

“My lord, if the undercover heard that you and I aren’t in the mansion. They will attack. So we need to go,” Elvis said.

The doctor came out. They walked to his office. The doctor ushered them to a seat, but Elvis refused to sit.

“My lord, she is now in a stable state.” The doctor said assuredly.

“Can she go with me?” Lucas asked.

"Sure she can, she is a strong lady. your removal of the bullet was so helpful to her," he said.
