Chapter two

_Colton p.o.v_

Most werewolves has tempers, especially alphas, I would know but something about the ache rising in my head caused by this ignorant alpha was overwhelmingly irritating.

I felt a headache coming on as we arrived at what seemed like the fourteenth pack, I was irritated and tired.

Not a good mix. The constant scent of different packs, playing pleasantly to people I could careless about speaking too. I just want to be home in my bed.

I rubbed my temples as I sat in the alphas office, he was screaming and yelling about someone named Angel and I was more the fed up, I came here to have a meeting about rogues not him to hear him complain about someone.

It was clear this Alpha was neglectful of his pack, their lack of discipline and respect a clear show of poor leadership skills.

I stand out of the sticky leather seat, it makes a loud ‘thwap’ as I did do, then I stormed out the office.

"Jackson! Eith-" I stopped in my tracks and sentence as a tinge of sweet aroma honey and strawberries filtered into my nostrils. My wolf was suddenly stirring inside and pawing at our bond. My headache and everything around me started to fade into the background as

the scent got stronger as the front door burst open and in came the most gorgeous girl I had ever seen. Without hesitation I took in as much of her as I can, my shoulders slack at the sight of her and my wolf is able to push one word though our bond.

Mate.

She has waist length blonde hair that curls slightly at the edges and big hazel eyes, she was so small about 4'8 compared to my 6'5 frame. She had on jeans and a white shirt, her hair was messy like she ran her hands through it to many times.

"Angel, where have you been!" Jackson barked, I had almost forget he was here. A sudden tint of anger rushed through me as her hazel eyes snapped from me to him, her eyes widened with fear.

"W-well I went for a run and fell asleep, I'm so sorry it won't happen again!" She rushed out her eyes going from Jackson to me, the emotions swriling like a world pool and yet here I was still stunned by her beauty but the situation alone was confusing.

Why was he so angry? Who is he to my mate? I was struggling to keep my own anger down.

"Damn right it won't!" He snapped and before I could comprehend what happened he raised his hand and it came down across her cheek. Her head snapped to the side and the loud sickening smacking sound echoed in the back of my ears.

I saw red as I grabbed Jackson by his neck and slammed him to the ground.

"I'll dare you put hands on my mate!" This wasn't me talking this was my wolf and he was royally pissed.

Jackson's eyes widened with fear then as soon as it was there it vanished and replaced by a smirk.

"She's just a runt she doesn't have a mate." I cocked my arm back and punched him square in the face hearing aloud crack and his eyes fluttered shut, body falling limp in my grip on his neck. I let him collapse to the floor.

Satisfied I step away. I turn, taking slow and cautious steps, but she didn’t run, didn’t flinch when I grabbed her hand gently, sparks running up and down my arm.

"Are you ok?" She didn't look up at me all she did was hold her cheek.

"Look at me." I mumbled lifting her chin. Her hazel eyes connected with my bright green ones.

"Are you ok?" I asked again.

"Y-yes." Her voice was soft and gently.

I nodded and picked her up, a tiny squeal left her mouth as I did so and I walked her out to my car.

I set her in the passenger seat and strapped her in and she didn’t protest, didn’t fight she allowed me to put in my car without any of her possessions, no goodbyes to anyone. It made me wonder just how much she had been through here and I was completely determined to take her back to my pack. Where she will be treated as a Luna should.
