Chapter three

Angel

The wind whipped past my face, throwing my hair all over the place around me so I couldn't see anything. My arms flared wildly and my legs kicked and bucked. I felt my stomach drop.

I looked up to the cliff my body was just thrown off of like a rag doll and my father sinister smile is flashing back at me.

I jumped up before I hit the ground, my body covered in a thin layer of cold sweat. The room was dark but it definitely wasn't mine, the bed was comfy and soft a thick blanket was laid over my body.

My long thick hair was braided down my back and I had on a big huge black shirt that stopped at my shins, I got out the bed. The room had the most amazing scent of raspberries and nature.

The scent lingered out the room and I followed it, my nose in the air sniffing. I just couldn't get enough of the smell.

The scent took me to a big oak door, I can hear deep voices from the other side and one in particular send a shiver up my spine.

'Mate!' My wolf yelled in my head. I groaned rubbing my temples she's gonna leave me with a headache, I turned to Go back to the room I came from. I just got here I don't need to get in trouble.

The door squeaked open and I stopped in my tracks.

"Hello princess." A deep vice called from behind me and butterflies erupted in my gut at the pet name. Slowly I turned around to come in contact with the most gorgeous green eyes I've ever seen in my life.

"H-hi." I squeaked out and he chuckled.

"You must be hungry, come on." He grabbed my hand and sparks flew up my arm.

He pulled me to the huge kitchen I immediately fell in love with, he pushed me towards the island chair. I sat quietly while he pulls different things out if the fridge, I watched how his muscles flexed and bulged.

Soon a plate of spaghetti was on front of me, I could only manage about half of it in my stomach. The whole time I ate he watched me like an amazing Picasso painting.

"What's your name?" I cocked my head to the side, curios I never caught it.

"Colton, aplha colton." I started choking on absolutely nothing, alpha! My mates an alpha.

He's going to reject me then beat me and leave me to die! The scenarios in my head caused my wolf to whine and I didn't even know I was crying until he wiped the tears.

"Hey why are you crying?" His voice was soft.

"Y-your going to reject me." I pushed the food around the plate, suddenly feeling very subconscious.

"I would never reject you, I've been looking for you since I was sixteen." He wiped on last tear and I could help but smile through the tears.

"Really?" My voice cracked a little.

"Yes and I'm 20 now so I've been waiting a while." He chuckled and I giggled.

"So tell me about your self princess." He took my fork and finished my food.

"W-well I'm a runt." I muttered praying to the moon goddess he wouldn't change his mind about the rejection.

"Really? So is my aunt." He smiled in admiration.

"What else?" His unflinching gaze was intense and eager.

"I like to read, and watch movies. Oh and my favorite color is maroon and..."

I can’t remember when we fell asleep, only that is was In the wee hours of the night. We have relocated from the kitchen to the room Colt explained we will share.

His patience with me is truly somethings I don’t think I’ll ever get used too, being a runt I wasn’t sent to school or educated on my own species.

Colt took the time to explain mates and their bond, how sacred it is and the basic traditions of our community and I must say I didn’t know I was so uneducated in my own life.
