Chapter five

_angel

I frowned at my new phone, as the little pink ball crashed into the blue bar and broke into tiny little pieces, this game is very addictive but frustrating.

I toss my phone on the dresser and got up, I smooth out my royal blue sun dress; I have on white flats and my hair is braided over my shoulder. Colt is somewhere doing work, I’ve been here a few weeks now and we’ve settled into a soft of routine. He would go off to tend to the pack and I would wait for him in the room or sometimes the garden when I started to feel cagey. More than anything I wanted to go for a run but Colt says some rogues have been spotted and he’s been so busy working we haven’t found the time.

I grabbed my phone again and my book to kill a mocking bird, I made my way through the house all the way to the back yard.

In the back is a chair swing facing the most gorgeous garden I have ever seen and a couple yards from there is a big willow tree with a bed of sunflowers and the perfect amount of shade. I made my way over there and sat in the sun flowers, opening my book I read.

I was way to engrossed in scout, jem and dill playing the boo game to hear colt come and sit with me, after I finished my chapter I looked up at him with a smile.

"Hey." He smiled at me and leaned back on his hands and stretched his legs out in front of him.

"Hey princess." My wolf purred at the nickname I had grown so found of.

"How are you?" I asked. He threw his head back and laughed loudly. The sun bounced off his green eyes making them look like emerald gems.

"I'm fine, how about you?" He asked his eyes sparkling.

"I'm good." I rubbed my hands together look it around soaking up the beautiful garden.

A humming bird flew around my head and I couldn't help but giggle as it landed on my open palm, it flew away and I looked over to colt who was looking at me with something I couldn't read and administration.

"What?" I brought my hand up to my face to make sure I didn't have anything on it.

"Your perfect." He smiled and I felt the heat race to my cheeks.

I pushed a loose strand of hair behind my ear playing with my fingers not knowing what to say.

"I would like to go for a run sometime soon, my wolf is starting to get restless.” He nods in agreement and I know he feels the same. Some nights he comes to bed with seemingly so much stress weighing him down, I feel bad I don’t carry my part.

“I would also like to start my duties as your Luna.” The statement throws him for a moment, so I decide to explain further. “Some night when you think I’m asleep, I watch you get ready for bed and I- I just know you’re so tired. I want to help you.” I’m blinded momentarily by the brightness of his smile but before he can responds and shrieking scream cuts through the air.

“Rogues!”
