Chapter ten

_colt

I watched her sleep peacefully, her soft snores filled the quiet hospital room.

"Where is she!?" Someone yelled outside the room, angel jumped up a look of terror on her face. She looked at me with panic.

"Protect me, please." Her voice cracked at the end and tears filed her eyes, I felt my heart shatter.

"Of course princess." I wiped a stray tear with my thumb.

Slowly I stood and walked out, her dad alpha Jackson was in the waiting area harassing every nurse or pack member that walked By.

"Alpha Jackson! Why are you on my territory unwelcomed?" I barked out, his face snapped to me and he glared.

"You were supposed to protect her! Your not supposed to let anything happen to my angel, my baby girl." He fell to his knees and sobbed, his body shook violently as he sat there like the pathetic piece of shit he is.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt her. I- can you tell her im sorry and that I love her?" His eyes were blood shot and snot coated his upper lip.

I nodded, "Jackson I think you better go." I muttered, feeling an only bit sorry for him, mainly angry I couldn’t feel his flesh splitting underneath my claws. If it weren’t for the living and breathing Angel on earth in the room, Jackson would be long dead. I could imagine killing Jackson easily but, I couldn't imagine hurting my daughter or any of my future kids like that.

He nodded and left slowly and his shoulders slumped over. Only a life time of guilt can bring on such strong emotions. He would have to live with what he did and allowed his pack to do the rest of his life. And if Angel is so kind enough to forgive him, and that’s a big If. He would have to convince me to be able to see her and I would need more than a few words to be convinced.

"C-colt." I turned to see my tiny little mate standing in the doorway with tears in her eyes. I rushed the few steps it took to her and cradled her face scanning for injury.

"Yes princess?" I asked.

"It hurts." Was all she muttered before she passed out in my arms. A sweltering heat I didn’t notice before was emitting from her entire body. Her body was burning, like it was on fire.

Her scent was sweeter than usual and I struggled to keep my wolf down that was suddenly clawing frantically at our bond.

I took a few deep breaths but it only seemed to rile him up more and I realize it’s the sweetness in my mates scent, pulling her closer I take a small deep breath in and it strikes a cord inside.

Angel’s going through her first heat. And we haven’t spent nearly enough time together to complete the bond, granite most wolves compete it the same day. Our situation is different and calls for a delicate and patient, more understanding approach.
