Chapter 9: Underestimating Her

He initially thought that asking her to come out and wash the car was just an excuse to have dinner together.

Unexpectedly, after dinner, he really drove her to the car wash.

Moreover, he supervised the entire process while she washed the car.

This made her think of a landlord and the landlord's servant.

After washing the car, he inspected it and was very satisfied.

She exhaled, took off her gloves, and threw them aside.

"Mr. Parker, can I leave now?"

Harrison smiled slightly. "Yes, get in the car. I'll take you back to school."

She retorted, "No need. I'm afraid I'll dirty your car and you'll have to go through the trouble of washing it again."

After saying this, she turned and left the car wash.

Harrison didn't stop her.

His car brushed past her as she stood still, kicking and punching in the direction his car drove away.

Inside the car, Harrison saw her antics in the rearview mirror and couldn't help but smile.

Childish.

After driving through two intersections, an unfamiliar ringtone suddenly sounded in the car.

He glanced sideways and saw that her bag was left on the floor of the passenger seat.

He parked the car, took out her phone, and saw a contact labeled 'The Principal's Silly Son.'

He frowned. What a strange label.

He answered the phone. "Hello?"

Keira reached the bus stop and realized she had left her bag in Harrison's car.

So now she had no money, no bus card, and no phone?

She sighed. How was she supposed to get back? Run?

Was there any other option?

She looked down the endless road. She should be able to reach school before dark.

She was frustrated. Ever since she met Harrison, nothing had gone smoothly.

She started jogging.

But before she had run 200 meters, a car stopped beside her.

She looked closely. Wasn't this the car she had just washed?

The passenger window rolled down, and Harrison looked at her coldly. "Get in."

She walked over but had no intention of getting in. "Give me my bag."

"From here to your school, you need to transfer three times and it will take at least an hour and a half. Are you sure you'll make it back in time for class?"

She checked her watch and immediately opened the car door to get in.

Harrison smiled slightly and started the car.

"Someone called you just now."

She took out her phone and frowned. "You answered it?"

"What if it was urgent?"

She bit her lip. "What did they say?"

"They just asked who I was and where you were."

"What did you tell them?"

"Does it matter?"

"This is someone else's phone call. You answered it without permission and won't tell me what was said. That's not appropriate."

"I said I was your taxi driver and that you left your bag in my car."

Keira sighed with relief and said nothing more.

Harrison raised an eyebrow. "Boyfriend? Had a fight?"

She looked at him. "That doesn't seem to concern you."

Harrison smiled. This woman intrigued him and made him feel a strong desire to conquer her.

The car arrived at the entrance of North City Normal University.

Keira got out of the car and nodded at Harrison. "Mr. Parker, thank you for driving me back. Goodbye."

Without another word, she turned and walked into the school.

But she hadn't gone far when she heard someone call out, "Keira."

Keira looked towards the other side of the school gate.

By the roadside stood a tall, handsome man leaning against a Porsche with his arms crossed, smiling at her.

Upon seeing him, Keira's heart leaped with joy. She ran over and hugged him.

In the Maybach opposite, Harrison raised his eyebrows slightly.

Louis Serrano, the eldest son of the Serrano family?

Heh, it seemed he had underestimated this woman named Keira.
