The woman in the private room was very beautiful and carried herself with elegance.
When she saw Harrison bringing a woman with him, she was momentarily stunned but then stood up with a gentle smile.
"Harrison, this is..."
Harrison naturally smiled. "This is Benjamin's tutor. You can call her Ms. Hunter."
The woman smiled lightly upon hearing this. "So, you're Ms. Hunter. Hello, I'm Madeleine Booth."
Keira nodded at her. "Hello, Miss Booth."
Harrison sat down. "Please, have a seat."
Keira sat down next to him.
Madeleine shifted her gaze from Keira to Harrison. "I was worried that asking you out for dinner might interfere with your work."
"It won't. But I brought Ms. Hunter along; I hope you don't mind. After all, I had already made plans with her first."
Madeleine shook her head with a smile. "Not at all. As long as Ms. Hunter doesn't mind. I've already ordered the dishes you like, but I'm not sure what Ms. Hunter prefers. I'll have them bring the menu for her."
Keira waved her hand. "No need, Miss Booth. I'm not picky about food."
Harrison's hand naturally patted Keira's head twice, full of affection. "She's not picky. She likes whatever I like."
His gesture made Madeleine's smile freeze for a moment.
But she quickly smiled again. "That's good. Ms. Hunter, you should eat more later."
Keira felt even more awkward, startled by the sudden head pat.
During the meal, Harrison occasionally served her food, acting as tenderly as a boyfriend.
Madeleine didn't talk much, eating elegantly.
However, she occasionally glanced at Keira, her emotions unreadable.
After the meal, the three of them left the restaurant together.
Harrison had one arm around Keira's shoulder as he walked Madeleine to her car.
Madeleine looked back at Keira gently. "Ms. Hunter, may I have a word with Harrison alone?"
"Sure, I'll head back to the car." Keira turned and walked towards Harrison's car.
After she left, Madeleine bit her lip and looked at Harrison with slightly red eyes. "How have you been lately?"
"Pretty good."
"Please don't use this method to upset me anymore. I don't want to see you hurt."
Harrison turned his head slightly, not looking at her. "I'm not trying to upset you. I genuinely think Ms. Hunter is great. Don't you agree?"
"Harrison, I know you well. I know you're doing this because of me..."
Harrison looked up and smiled. "You should go home early. I still need to take Ms. Hunter back to school and have a meeting in the afternoon."
He opened the car door for her.
Madeleine sighed, lowered her eyes, said 'sorry,' and got into the car before leaving.
Back in the car, Keira crossed her arms and looked at him with a mischievous smile.
Harrison frowned, displeased. "What are you laughing at?"
"You like that lady just now, don't you?"
Harrison looked at her, his eyes sharp.
She pouted. "It's obvious. You brought me here on purpose to provoke Miss Booth, didn't you? You don't need to do that; she clearly likes you too."
"You don't understand anything. Don't talk nonsense in front of me again." He started the car with a cold face and drove off.
Keira pouted. Again? They wouldn't see each other again anyway.
She didn't want to have too much interaction with such a big shot.
Her mother had always said that wealthy men couldn't be trusted and that she should stay as far away from them as possible.
With Sean as a lesson learned, she didn't want to repeat the same mistake.
Of course, with Harrison, she might indeed be overthinking it.
Knowing he had someone he liked made her feel much more at ease; at least she wouldn't have to be constantly on guard anymore.
