Chapter 3: Getting into the Car

Sean looked down in silence, his face full of guilt.

Keira, however, smiled. "Because you said, I am very warm."

A girl stepped forward, blocking Keira's view of Sean. "Keira, it's my fault. I seduced Sean. It's me... I'm shameless. He's a good guy. Don't blame him, okay?"

Keira tried to stay calm, glanced at the girl, and said to Sean, "They all say everyone has to pay a price for their youth, and you are probably the most painful price I paid for mine. Sean, I have to thank you. You taught me that men are not as reliable as they seem. Thank you for teaching me to grow up."

"I'm sorry, Keira," Sean apologized again.

Keira sighed and then shook her head with a smile. "Sean, you don't have to feel sorry for me. We're even now. Because of you, I got the job I wanted. You don't owe me anything anymore. And you, Molly Rogers, remember this: from the moment you climbed into Sean's bed, we were no longer friends.

I give him to you, but I have one request: don't pretend to be familiar with me anymore because I won't waste my friendship and kindness on you again. I have to rush to my tutoring session, so I won't stay in the rain playing romance with you two. Goodbye."

After saying that, she took a step back, bypassed them, and ran quickly towards the road.

Her mind was so chaotic that she didn't notice the black Bentley about to turn into the school.

By the time she realized it, it was too late; she collided with the car.

She staggered back a few steps and fell to the ground.

Behind her, Sean exclaimed, "Keira."

He was about to run forward when he saw Keira, who had her back to him, stand up by herself using the car for support.

Without a word, she limped quickly to the car door, opened it, and got inside.

There was someone else in the car.

She didn't look closely but just stared out the window at Sean approaching and shouted to the driver, "Take me to College Avenue, or I'll have to fake an injury."

The driver looked worriedly at the man in the car.

The man's voice was smooth. "Do as the lady says."

The driver reversed and left the school.

As they drove away, Keira stared out the window, her eyes full of confusion.

Thinking about Sean made her heart ache.

Sean would never know what foolish thing she did last night because of him.

She really regretted being impulsive.

Now she had lost Sean, lost her friend, and lost her virginity.

Thinking about it carefully, should she mark yesterday as... the unluckiest day?

Beside her, the man handed over a white towel. "You're soaked. Dry yourself."

Keira came back to her senses and took the towel. "Sorry for dirtying your car, Mr. Parker?"

Seeing the man sitting next to her was Harrison, whom she had just said she would never see again this morning.

Keira was so surprised she couldn't speak.

"What? Surprised to see me?"

"This..." Keira stammered for a moment. "Why are you here?"

"Ms. Hunter, should I remind you that this is my car?"

Keira quickly realized that it was indeed her who had forcefully gotten into the car.

"Oh, sorry for dirtying your car. I'll wash it for you once the rain stops."
