Chapter 7

"What do you mean hell hole, and what did you go through?" Devon asks confused.

"Since when do you call your parents Steve and Clare?" Jesse asks a moment after Devon.

I give them my best death glare, "wouldn't you like to know, but you lost the right to be involved in my life when you kicked me out of yours."

I grab Aaron's hand and storm over to our gang mumbling so many profanities that Aaron offered to take me to the bathroom and rinse my mouth with soap. All throughout lunch I kept sneaking glances towards their table, though I must not have been as sneaky as I thought because I connected gazes with them several times.

There was about forty five minutes left of lunch when my phone rang. Glancing at the caller ID I found it was David, so I quickly answered.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I need you here now." He gruffly demanded.

"Seriously? I still have a class left. You know nothing comes before my studies. Can't it wait until my last class?" I sigh because I already know what the answer is going to be.

"No! Get over here now! The MOE is attacking our hideout, and trying to take our girls hostage."

I sprang up my seat sending my chair crashing to the ground. "WHAT!?" I roar.

"You heard me, so get your ass down here now." He ends the call before I get the chance to respond.

I slam my fist on the table in anger also gaining the attention of the ten or so gang members here. "Listen up!" I bellow.

“Follow me. We have a situation at hand.” I say a bit quieter. The last thing we need is one of the students getting the police involved. Been there done that, don’t wanna go back.

Immediately all my gangs eyes snap to meet my own. I gesture for them all to lean in close and quietly let them in on what is happening. “The MOE is attacking home base, and they are trying to kidnap our ladies. You know how serious I take the threat on our club women. If we don’t out an end to this as soon as possible I will take it personally, and take it out on you all in the training ring.”

They drop their eye's to the ground and audibly gulp, causing me to smirk. I look at Aaron and find him smiling at me and shaking his head. I gesture for us to head out, but get cut off at the exit door by none other than my brother.

"What are you doing? You can't go to a gang war! You'll get yourself killed! And since when did you carry a gun with you?" He exclaims

"First of all, how did you know I have a gun on me? Second, how the hell did you hear what we were talking about? Third, and most important, I don't have time for this, so move out of my way or I'll force you to." I threaten with every intention of following through.

Luckily, I didn't have to because Jesse came over and dragged him out of the way leaving me confused as hell. Why would he do that for me? Was it something with my facial expression that made him see how serious I was? Or was he simply trying to prevent his best friend from getting hurt? Not letting myself stew on it any longer, we quickly ran out of the school.

By the time we got there it looked like all hell had broken loose. Gun shots were ringing back to back, and there were bodies covering the ground. I saw a few familiar people, but I didn't have time to see if they were our casualties or not because I was in stealth mode. I needed to get in there and take out the threat to put an end to this.

Walking swiftly but quietly I made my way in. As I go to cut around a corner a bullet flies across my arm, leaving me with a shallow flesh wound. “Shit dude. Are you serious?” I ask allowed to myself. Now I am passed angry and onto livid. I don’t remember the last time that I had any sort of wound, let alone a measly flesh wound. It’s embarrassing.

Ducking around the corner, I quickly shoot the guy that got me and start to move down the hallway. Normally, I would've found a quieter way to kill them so that I didn't give away my position, but there's so many guns going off they wouldn't be able to pin point me.

Making my way through the warehouse I see us holding our own, but losing a decent amount of prospects. We will have to do some heavy recruiting to come back from this. My only goal is to take down as many as I an and make it to David, where I’m sure all the action is taking place. I take at least half a dozen guys out. It seems like they brought the entire gang, but at the same time I know they didn't because these guys are extremely inexperienced. I come to David's office door, and slowly open it.

What I find almost makes me laugh out loud.
