Chapter 8

Krystal POV

I woke up by the sunlight on my face. I get up and saw Laura sitting beside my bed.

“Are you alright?” she ask “Yeah what happens?”

“I don’t know I only see Lux carrying you in his hands and your arms and legs full of blood”

I look at my arms and legs that are wrapped in bandage. What happens after I passe out?

“What about Lux?” I ask

“He’s okay but Miss Valerie told him to come to her office,”

I was about to stand up from my bed when the door open and Miss Valerie enter the room.

“Are you okay Krystal?” she asks while sitting next to Laura “I’m okay” I answer with a smile plastered on my face

“Do you remember anything about last night when you and Luz go to the training grounds?”

I tried to think what happens last night but I can’t remember after I passed out.

“I don’t remember,”

“It’s okay don’t worry things would be alright,” she said giving me a reassuring smile “Also I talk at the nurse that is in charge of you, you can leave the clinic whenever you want just be careful not to hurt yourself again,”

“Thank you”

“No problem, I gotta go, I have to do some papers in my office,”

Hours passed and I leave the clinic before the night comes. Some students are already going to their own room because classes already ended. I laid at my bed and close my eyes and slowly drifting to sleep.

“Hmm…” I woke up, and it’s already midnight. I rub my eyes and get some water to drink I was about to go to my bed when I saw a man sitting on the frame of the window he was behind a white curtain that is being swayed by the wind. I slowly walk towards the window. A strong wind swayed the curtain and I see the half face of the man his eyes is closed like he was sleeping peacefully.

I was startled and look behind me to saw the fork fell from the table I quickly look again at the window but no one is there anymore I pick the fork and put it on the table.

Am I imagining things now? How strange. I shrugged off the thought of it and go back to sleep.
