Chapter 13

Krystal POV

“Shall we dance?”

That voice is familiar. I look up to see the man face and its Lux wearing a black and red tuxedo and a combination of red and black masquerade mask that perfectly fits his outfit. I smile while placing my hand on his hand and the both of us walk to the middle where everyone is dancing.

I place my right hand on his shoulder and his left hand on my waist while our other hands interlocking and the both of us dance with the music.

“You’re late,” I said

“I know” he replied

“What took you so long?” I ask.

“I have another thing to do,” he answer

I want to ask more, but his cold answer stops me from asking him. What kind of man are you, Lux?

“Nice dress” he said, leaning toward my ears

“T-Thanks” I stuttered looking down I can feel my cheek burning red

“You look beautiful” I look up to see him smiling. It’s the first time. I smiled, also happy because he smiled because of me.

Lux stared at my lips and leaned. He closed his eyes and continue to lean towards me. Before I know it, our lips are 1 inch apart. My eyes grew big. I don’t know what to do.

I push him and I cover my lips with my hand and I look at him. His lips apart and shock was written all over his face, even though it is covered with a mask.

“I-I’m sorry” I said blushing he tried to hold my hand but I turn around and walk away leaving him on the middle of the dance floor.

Why did he do that? Is it even okay to leave him there alone? I cupped my face with my both hands, embarrassed on what might happen if didn’t push him. Stop blushing already.

I went on the table outside the wall where a mini garden is. It’s the first time I see a garden in here. I take the wine glass that is filled with water and drink it. If I didn’t push him is he going to kiss me? Maybe I’m just imagining things.

I look at in front of me and my vision blurred and my head is spinning. I tried to walk, but I can’t see. My breath became heavy. What is inside the wine glass, is it a water or a wine? Oh no, I don’t even drink in my whole life.

My head spun again and I close my eyes because I can’t stand it. Before I collapsed on the ground a pair of arms wrapped around me and the next thing I know my vision became pitch black.
