Chapter 06: Marriage Proposal II

Somewhere in Arkney:

A woman was tossing and turning on her bed with the fear of losing someone visible on her face as she was sweating and suddenly got up screaming someone's name.

By hearing her scream, the person who was sleeping beside her woke up.

“What happened Aria?

Again that same dream,” asked that person.

“Yes, Mia " replied Aria.

“Are you fine?” asked Mia.

Aria hummed in response.

“Ok.

Go to sleep and don't think much about your dream” said Mia.

Nodding at her, Aria slept, but sleep was nowhere to be seen as she was again drowned in her dreams.

The same dreams which were haunting her for the last four years. She was tired of searching for the reasons for her weird dreams, with these thoughts she drifted into slumber.

Next morning:

In Arkney:

“Aria woke up, we are getting late,” said Mia.

“Just five more minutes Mia,” said Aria while covering her ears with a pillow.

What five minutes if we get five minutes late then that manager will see us like we asked his whole property,” said Mia.

“Ok I am up,” said Aria while getting off from bed.

After getting ready they walked out of their apartment and made their way to their office.

“Mia,

Why are you taking half day leave?” asked Aria on their way to the office.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you my cousin is coming today.

I took leave for both of us” said Mia.

“Ok, your cousin means Kia,” asked Aria.

“Yes, she is coming to give the exam,” said Mia.

Aria nodded in response.

Both left for their office.

In Delhi:

Jasper was packing his and Avi’s luggage. Avi was looking with confusion.

“Why are you packing our clothes Dad?” asked avi.

“Avi, we are leaving for Arkney in a while,” replied Jasper.

“Wow, Dad for vacation,” said Avi with excitement.

“No, not for vacation we are going for my work,” said Jasper.

Avi's face fell hearing his words and Jasper didn't fail to observe it.

“But we can go to the water park and some other places after finishing your work,” announced Jasper.

Avi jumped with joy and hugged Jasper.

“Thank you, Dad,” Jasper heard an excited Avi’s voice.

“Ok, we are getting late, let's go.

After breakfast, we are leaving for the airport” said Jasper.

Jasper and avi walked into the dining room. Greeting everyone, they took their seats.

While having breakfast Jasper said

“We are leaving for Arkney,” said Jasper to no one in particular.

“Why? " asked Elina.

Before Jasper can say, Elina started speaking.

“Jasper, if you are trying to keep distance from us then I will not pressure you for marriage, but please don't increase the distance between us,” said Elina.

“No mom, not like that.

There is some problem in the Arkney branch because of that I am leaving” said Jasper.

“Ok, but don't forget to take care of yourself and avi,” said Samuel.

Jasper nodded in response.

Jasper and Avi went to the airport after bidding to their family members.
