Chapter 04: Glimpses Of Past II

Jasper Point of view:

We started walking to the auditorium. The college was empty as it was almost for the ceremony to begin. So, I guess everyone might be in the auditorium. As I reached the auditorium my mobile started vibrating indicating an incoming call. It was my client's call. So, I can't ignore it.

“Derek, you get going. I will be back after taking this call” I informed him.

Nodding, Derek left to the auditorium hall.

I was in conversation with my hand and suddenly my hand collided with something, but I ignored it and continued with my conversation but out of nowhere, I heard a voice.

“ Can't you keep your hands in control?” I heard a female voice.

I was about to question her but again that someone started speaking increasing my anger.

“Are you listening or not?” again I heard her shout.

I wanted to ask her the reason for her rude behavior but the same happened earlier, and it caused my anger to reach the heights of Everest, but she is not ready to keep her mouth shut.

“ Why do people like you roam around when you have an eyesight problem?

You should get a check-up for your eyes” I heard her rude comment.

Now it's out of my control. I turned around in thought to give some peace of mind and basic manners to that person, but nothing like that happened after seeing the girl in front of me.

The sharp tongue girl was completely covered in paint. Now I understood why she was freaking out. I think I knocked on the paintbox, and it might have fallen on her. She kept on scolding me while brushing her dress. A laugh escaped at the sight of her. I know it's not manners but what can I do when she is completely covered in paint and talking nonsense. She stared at me and I can say she was shocked to see me. I guess she recognized me and started talking back steps but got collided with a wall and lost her balance. She was about to fall, but I held her hand. She closed her eyes in fear of getting hurt but realizing nothing happened she slowly opened her eyes. One look of her, and I was lost in her eyes. She was still in my arms. I don't know how long we were lost in each other's eyes. I came to my senses as I saw Derek clearing his throat. I helped her in standing properly. She didn't attempt to glance at me. I guess she was feeling embarrassed. I saw someone calling her, and she left with her.

“What was that? " Asked Derek.

“I don't know,” I replied and walked away to escape from his further questions.

As we reached the auditorium we were grandly greeted by the dean of the college and shortly the ceremony began.

Third-person POV:

Meanwhile, in the corridor.

“Samira, what have you done to yourself? " Asked Jessie.

“I will tell you later, but now I have to clean myself before the ceremony ends,” Samira said while walking towards her dorm. Nodding at her, Jessie followed her.

In auditorium:

“Now it's time to give trophy and medal to our university topper, and you all might know that our top three students from our college are going to be placed in JD fashion house and I warmly welcome our chief guest Jasper Davies to do the honor of awarding the degree to our top three students,” announced the host.

Jasper walked onto the stage and the host started announcing names.

“ The second topper is Jessie Steve, " announced the host.

Jessie received her medal from Jasper.

“Now our university topper is as always Samira” declared the host.

Samira walked onto the platform to receive her medal, Jasper saw her eyes and recognized that it was her.

After the graduation ceremony, Jasper came to Samira who was in conversation with Jessie. By seeing Jasper, Samira looked down, feeling embarrassed. Jasper came and stood in front of her.

“Actually I am sorry I don't know you were standing downstairs, and I accidentally knocked the paintbox,” said Jasper.

“It's ok I am sorry too I shouldn't have spoken to you in that way,” said Samira while remembering her scoldings to Jasper.

“It's ok,” said Jasper.

“Thank you we have to leave sir,” said Samira and left from there while dragging Jessie with her.

After a few days, Samira joined JD fashion house as she got placed in it for being the university topper. In a few days, Jasper and Samira developed a new bond of friendship and the same happened with Derek and Jessie. Although Jasper and Samira felt something more than the friendship they keep on avoiding their feelings in few more months Jasper finally realized his feelings and proposed to Samira, but she was reluctant as she felt she was not a perfect girl for him, but continuous advances of Jasper made her accept her feelings, and finally she too confessed her feelings. Jasper introduced her to his family. His father, sister and the whole family have no problem with Samira but Elina was reluctant as she felt Samira being an orphan is not a perfect girl for Jasper but seeing Jasper stubbornness she agreed reluctantly. They finally got married and after two years avi came into their lives, but one day Samira met with an accident where Jasper lost his Samira.

Flashback ends.

Jasper came out of his thoughts by continuous nagging on his shoulder. He saw it was Avi.

“What happened Dad? " Asked avi.

“Nothing avi we should leave now,” said Jasper.

After greeting the children and Aunt. They walked out of the orphanage and made their way to their house.
