Chapter 4 - Attachment

"Did it went well, Eve? How's the outcome?" Her mother, Tita Victoria asked.

He doesn't want to call her mom whenever its just them. But he couldn't help but to do that if they were outside. Medias and reporters surrounded them. All he's going to do is to act... as always.

Eve let out a sigh."He said he'll just email us. Maybe its because of Agnes, mom. She's back and she's working in his company."

"What? Since when did she came back? What stupidity did she do, Eve?" Her dad, Tito Lucas asked in a serious tone.

"She interrupted our conversation! And after she disrespected me in front of Mr. Topaccan, she left immediately. And you know what's worst? He told us to left and talk again some other time. I heard that Agnes just worked there and seems like he's defending her side. What a bitch!" Eve grudged.

Jash looked away, trying to calm himself. If he will meddle with their conversation, he might say something wrong and they won't let him go of it. Their family sucks!

"And you, Jash? What did you do? I'm sure you defended Eve since you're her husband," Tita Victoria raised her eyebrow on him.

"He did well, mom. He's even on my side after all," Eve saved him.

He couldn't understand why is she covering him even though she doesn't have to. He can get all their punsihment and catch their hurtful words. Its because on wrong move, her family will just hate him more. He feels the same way too. Eve just forced them to marry him even if she already have a fiancee back then.

Eve's fault and now he's suffering too.

"Are you sure, Eve? You're not lying, right? Hmm, dear?" Tito Lucas tried to caught her.

Eve immediately nodded."Yes, dad. We're in good terms as always. I behave and he's understanding me too."

Understanding his ass!

"We were not earlier. Eve is being too much so I got a bit mad on her. She's acting as if she's always in the top and I bet its not right," Jash said honestly.

Eve simply glared at him and secretly pinched his back, which made him distance himself from him. Tita Victoria looks so upset while Tito Lucas stayed serious. They will defend her, of course.

He's always wrong in their eyes because they can't see what's right. A personality of their parents that Eve gets. Though, she's worse.

"Don't tell me you defended that bitchy Agnes earlier instead of our daughter, which is your wife. Is that it?" Tita Victoria gave him a disappointed look.

"Don't get me wrong. I just don't want Eve to be the talk of town just because of her wrong act. I'm just stating what I think is right," he bravely answered.

Actually, he's not scared of them. But its not just him who will get involved with it. They will surely involve her parents that has nothing to do with them.

"Is it a valid reason to humiliate our daughter in fromt of Mr. Topaccan and her fake sister, huh? I was right! Eve shouldn't marry a dumb like you!" Tito Lucas blamed him for that again.

Eve went nearly to defend him."Mom, dad, stop! Its my decision to marry Jash. Don't bring it back anymore!"

He couldn't take it anymore so he turned his back on them and walked away. There's no point on talking to them, anyways. They kept on calling him in an angry tone so Eve forced him to go back. Damn it!

"Why don't you let me file a divorce on your daughter if you don't want me to be with her. I can't stand it anymore, either," Jash said in an emotionless tone.

Tita Victoria gasped unbelievably."Why? You want to go back to Agnes if that happens? I bet she's still single because no one dared to be with her."

"I can. I'll do everything to get her back. So give me a permission to divorce Eve," he countered.

Eve's sob invaded thew whole house that's why his mom and dad looked at him angrily. If its not because of her, they surely kicked him out of their house right now.

"Please, babe. Don't leave me like this. I-I'm.. pregnant," Eve said in a hoarse voice.

Tito Lucas guided his daughter because of shock while Tita Victoria's lips parted. They both looked at him with firing eyes and when her father couldn't resist, he literally punched him right on his face.

"How dare you impregnate our daughter and leave her like a trash. No divorcement! Do your responsibility as a husband and father! If not, your family will pay for it," Tito Lucas threatened him again.

He inhaled violently."But nothing happe---"

"Our daughter doesn't know how to lie, Jash. I can't believe you!" Tita Victoria added.

He swallowed hard and looked at Eve with darkened eyes. Its like he can kill someone right now. How could this bitch use pregnancy as an alibi?! Now they were doomed!

"MOMMY, is your work hard? You look tired," Kyrie sat beside Agnes and caressed her cheeks.

She shook her head in an instant."No, baby. Mommy's just hungry. See? I brought a lot of foods."

"We're not that hungry, mommy. You stocked a lot of foods and we were having a hard time eating it all," Kyron pouted.

She laughed because of that and started digging on the foods."Eat even just a little, okay? My babies can't go to bed with an empty stomach."

Like what she usually do, she read some bedtime stories for Kyrie so she could sleep. While Kyron, she has to stay on his side until he falls asleep. They were used to it even when they were just babies so she couldn't really go anywhere during nighttime. Her kids won't go to sleep, its proven and tested.

She has two works that she didn't finish in the company because of running out of time. She has to keep her promise to them that she will go home at the said time. Good thing its allowed to bring home the remaining works so she can do it peacefully.

She needs to send it to Mr. Topaccan so she was forced to link her email account, which she never did used for years. She blocked her social media accounts for some reasons and being in the center of attraction is the worst.

'A very big announcement from Mr. and Mrs. Flarion tomorrow at the event throwed by Mr. and Mrs. Labrado. Stay tuned!'

Agnes' brows furrowed while looking at her phone. She's not reading internet news but what welcomed her was that shocking news. W-What kind of announcement? Seems like everyone's excited in the comment section.

She hate it that she's interfering someone's life but curiously strikes on her. Eve kept on saying hints to the comment section and her chest throbbed when she says that vomiting in the morning was her daily routine these past few days and so as feeling dizzy. Agnes got the hint because she's not that dumb not to know.

S-She's pregnant. That was the word came up to her mind. One of the comments said her guess and Eve just heart react on it.

Agnes felt numb so she let go of her phone, staring at the absence. Actually, there's nothing to be surprised on it. They were married, that news tore her heart to pieces in the company earlier. And now that Eve's pregnant, her world really stumbled down.

"Why am I even crying? After the years of getting brave for this, I shouldn't cry," she consoled herself.

They were the same on only one thing. Jash is the father of their child. And there are so many differences that will surely prove that they couldn't really be together. Eve's married with him and she's the one he loves right now. And Jash thought she aborted their child years ago because that's what she said.

She just realized that maybe he doesn't want to have a child with her because he wants it to be Eve. Her half-sister won again... and she lose.

But its just the beginning of the fight. Agnes will make sure that the fate will be on hands her next time.

"Mr. Topaccan, why did you called me?" Agnes asked right after she entered his office.

When she get inside the company, the staff told her that she's being called in the office. She's not sure what is it all about but it seems to be an important matter.

I-Is it... about yesterday? He did not say anything for what she did so she's not aware of his reaction.

"I'm not going to bite you so chill. I just want to ask you something," he smiled at her.

She smiled back."What is it, sir? Anything you want."

"I got invited to Mr. and Mrs. Flarion's announcement tonight. I don't have a secretary nor an escort so... can you accompany me?" He was waiting for her answer.

T-Tonight? Of course she can't go! She will be on a big trouble if ever!
