Chapter 3 - Unexpected Meet Up

"Mommy, are we just going to stay here again for the whole day?" Kyrie pouted while her shoulders were dropping.

Agnes sighed and nodded."Yes, baby. You have to. But I bought foods for you yesterday, right? How about you'll just enjoy it all and when I come back home I already bought your new snacks? Mommy will be gone for the whole day."

"We will surely miss you today, mom. I'll take care of my sister. Don't worry," Kyron smiled.

"I will just call you at lunch time so always turn on your phones, okay? I will be back at 7:00 PM and bring our dinner so wait for me." She kissed their cheeks before rushing out of the door.

It was against her will to be away from her kids for a day but she has to sacrifice it for money. Because if ever thay she will earn that much, she may hire a nanny to watch over them. Though, it might not happen because of Kyron. He doesn't want anyone near us... especially to his twin. He's that protective.

"You're the new worker in the third floor, right?" An intern asked her, she was it on her ID and she still looked like a college.

She slightly nodded.

"Yay! Mr. Topaccan said that we interns, will find a worker in the third floor that could help us in our assigned task. Can you help me?" She sounded hopeful.

"Sure. What am I going to do with this?"

Bringing the papers that the intern gave her, she went directly to her assigned place. She have her own table, computer, folders, and all the things needed. When she looked at the side table, there are about five folders on it so she started checking. Its her work for today.

It wasn't that hard for her because she's always on the topnotcher when she was still in college. Though, there's a little misunderstanding when it comes to codes. That was the subject she hated way back then but it can't be avoided now since her work seems to be an IT. Of course, it will involve codes.

"You finished that fast? You just came in, don't you?" A woman asked her, one of her co-worker.

"Yes. This is for the intern who asked for my help," she casually answered.

That woman smirked."Why so fast? Can you do mine too? You know, I've been working here for so long and I'm kinda tired. Sine you're new---"

"Oh, fucking shut up, Ophelia! Your high-pitched voice is unpleasant to hear. Just so you know?!" A woman cut for her words sarcastically.

Ophelia gave her a death glare."Who told you to interrupt us, Lowella? Tsk. As if we're not the same."

"Duh? How could you let a new worker do your works? You're the one who's unbelievable here," Lowella rolled her eyes.

"Uh... G-Guys? Can you stop arguing?" Agnes interrupted their fight while tightening the hold on the papers.

"Yes. You can go now, Agnes. Don't mind this bitch," Lowella smiled at her but glared at Ophelia.

She awkwardly walked outside to go back to the first floor where her intern was waiting. But when the elevator opened, her feet glued on the floor after seeing unexpected persons again. It was just like before.

Why are they here again?

"A-Agnes? Oh my gosh! Is that you bitch?" Eve faked her smile and gasped.

She remained calm and fierce when her eyes landed on their intertwined hands. She completely moved on so she didn't feel anything. Instead of answering her bitch half-sister, she get out of the elevator and passed by on them. She's not informed that there should be a welcome address after seeing them in person.

"Y-You changed... a lot, Agnes. H-How are you?"

She stopped for a moment after hearing his voice. Even him... he also changed a lot. His muscular body, his face became more matured, and his voice was so manly.

She faced them again with the same look."Why would I answer a question from a stranger? As far as I know... we're not close and.. I don't know the both of you. So excuse me."

She's a brave woman now. Even if they will slap her the reality that Jash betrayed her and Eve can always win over her, she won't run away again. She can face with with all she have. It doesn't hurt her, anyways.

"Thank you, sister. I appreciate your kindness," the intern said happily.

She gave her a real smile and nodded."No worries. If you find it hard, just ask me. Its fine."

HE felt so dumb while he's inside the elevator where Agnes came out. He couldn't just... process things in his mind. Last night, he kept on wishing to the stars to see her and now it already happened. That fast. He even looked like a fool, finding words to say to her. And her answer say it all. He's nothing on her life right now.

"Babe! Why aren't you listening to me?! We should practice what mom and dad told us. We have to do this right," Eve with her irritating voice.

He swallowed hard and faced her."I'm already thinking, Eve. Don't disturb me."

"Oh, really? Thinking of what? Agnes? You just saw her after five long years of running away. I'm also shocked, anyways. But she's like nothing compared to me... just like before. She's even working here. Eww!" Eve mocked.

He harshly get off his hands on her."You're the one who didn't change here. You're still as immature as before. At least Agnes managed to change into her best version. And don't underestimate her if she's working here. Remember why we're going to approach Mr. Tapoccan and its because of your carelessness."

"Shut up! How can you put all the blame on me? Don't tell me you still love her after all the years, huh? Well let's just see if she still felt the same way to you. See her reaction? You look like a trash on her eyes," she hissed.

Her words were like fire that burnes him inside and pushed her hard that cause her to hit on the corner of the elevator. He was about to hit her when the elevator sounded and opened. She's being too much now. If the elevator didn't save her, he must've done something bad on her.

"Don't you ever say that again or I won't hesitate to do something you don't like," he warned her.

They have an appointment to Mr. Topaccan so they immediately went to his office. Jash walked first, not minding Eve at her back. He's still mad right now and whenever he will think of what she'd said, his blood boils in too much anger. Its Eve's fault in the first place. He's just being put into a situation he doesn't like and forced to do it for the sake of his beloved woman.

"We hope you can accept mom and dad's proposal, Mr. Topaccan. I'm sure that it will work out that fast if your company will deal with us," Eve fakingly smiled at Revo, the CEO.

I hope he's not easy to be fooled. They're just going to use him, his company, and all his money to get what Eve's parents wants. They already controlled his parent's company and couldn't still find a hole on how to get off from it.

Mr. Tapoccan laid his eyes on him but he immediately looked away."What do you think, Mr. Flarion? Aren't you going to put a fire on your wife's ideas?"

Wife! Fuck that word! It makes him feel disgusting upon hearing that word on everyone. He never wanted to hear that from anyone.

"U-Uh... She's has a point. But the decision is still yours, Mr." Jash faked cough and looked away.

Eve kept on giving her any suggestions until someone knocked on the door so their talk was interrupted. Eve easily got irritated by that but the atmosphere spiced up when a very familiar woman went in. Jash eyes locked on her... even though she just gave him a single cold glance and then looked away.

He was so damn hurt. And he felt pity on himself for craving on her attention.

"Stop staring at him, babe! I swear I'm gonna kill her," Eve gave her a cold tone.

He didn't mind her, instead, he looked at Agnes who's talking to Mr. Topaccan in a lower voice. Only the two of them can hear. And its quite frustrating him.

"Oh, one thing. Do you know Mr. and Mrs. Flarion, Ms. Labrado?" Mr. Tapoccan suddenly asked her.

She was a little but surprised after hearing that heartbreaking news but still managed to hide her real reaction. He knew it. He could read her. They've been in a secret relationship for two years and months so there's no way he wouldn't know her actions.

She faked cough for a moment."Sorry, sir. I don't know. I just saw them here and I don't read rumors or news in the internet."

"It's not a rumor, Ms. Labrado. Look at our ring. We've been married for four years already," Eve gave her a sweet smile, obviously bragging over her sister.

Agnes smiled back at her."Yes, I see. But I don't remember asking. Sorry for the sarcastic answer."

"W-What? How disrespectful you are!" Eve stood up so Jash immediately hold her hand to stop her.

It really went wrong because Agnes saw it and anger flashed on her eyes. Its not good.

"At least, I apologized. Excuse me." She left dumbfounded inside.
