Theia
I stood there, staring at the figure that had formed from the wind and the colors.
I know I shouldn't be here, this was out of the ordinary so it was definitely dangerous. But I didn't leave, couldn't leave, not even if I wanted to.
My feet were glued to the ground. I stood there, watching as it walked through the darkness. But suddenly, it stopped walking. I took a step out of my hiding spot, squinting my eyes as I tried to make out what it was doing.
Just then, it turned in my direction and I saw its eyes. I stopped breathing but I couldn't tell if it was out of fear or my breath had simply been taken away from the extraordinarily beauty of those eyes.
They were blue but not the usual blue. They were the kind of blue that could light up the whole Brilfield.
At one moment, they looked like the sky but even more beautiful than the sky but in the next moment, they looked like the sea but amidst the regular change in the color of those eyes, there was one thing that never changed.
Probably due to the brightness of those eyes but I could see silver lights in them. They were in form of dust particles, twinkling in both eyes.
Just before I could notice anything else about those eyes, I heard a dangerously low and masculine voice; "You shouldn't be here."
I snapped out of whatever world those eyes had trapped me in at the sound of that voice. It took me a while to realize that voice belonged to the owner of those eyes.
I stepped back in fear, regretting not running away and ignoring him.
"Take one more step and I would burn you to the ground." Even though the tone of his voice was alone to make me still, the danger behind those eyes warned me that I would definitely be burned to the ground if I waited for a second more.
I took to my heels, ignoring his warning, running as fast as I could but with every step I took, I could only feel like he was gaining on me.
"You're going to regret making me catch you!" He yelled out loud.
He didn't sound close enough, his voice made it seem like he was far away from me, probably still at the spot I left him in. Even though I was itching to know where he was, if he had gained on me, I didn't dare turn around. I kept running so fast, I felt like my legs were going to give out under me.
But much to my surprise, he appeared right in front of me, startling me.
"Argh!" I screamed loudly, sweat dripping from my face.
"Oh goodness!" I sighed, shaking as I looked around, calming down only when I realized that I was in my room and not in the street, on my bed and not on the ground.
"Theia?" My mother's voice rang through the air, assuring me that I was definitely at home.
I placed my hand on the chest, my heart was beating really fast.
"It's not real, not real." I muttered to myself and slowly, my heart beat returned to normal.
After that figure had disappeared last night, I had ran away out of fear.
It was too strange, I had never seen anyone disappear into the air or come into existence through wind and colors. But despite my fear, I was still very curious to know what that thing was.
It seemed like a person but it couldn't be, right? No normal person would come into existence like that nor simply disappear.
"Is everything okay?"My mother's voice disrupted my thoughts as she barged into my room.
"Mm-hmm." I nodded, giving her a thumbs up. The last thing I wanted to do right now, was get her worried. She wouldn't believe what I had seen anyway, even I still couldn't believe what I had seen. By the way, she couldn't know what I had been up to last night.
"I heard you screaming and I'm pretty sure I wasn't hallucinating." She furrowed her brows in doubt, leaving the door and coming to sit by my side on my bed.
I had managed to slip through my window just before she returned home. The strange watch was safely hidden in my closet.
Whatever that thing was last night, it was definitely connected to the watch. And since my father was in custody of that watch, then that thing might be able to lead me to my father.
"I saw a rat. Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." She was wearing an apron which meant she must have been in the kitchen.
She only chuckled and cupped my cheek before getting off my bed.
"Thank you for giving yourself a chance to get educated. Get ready Theia, breakfast would be ready soon. We'll be on our way to Brilfield College in less than an hour." She stated before walking out of my room.
I stayed in bed for a few more minutes, reflecting on my encounter last night. Fear had almost persuaded me into backing out but I couldn't. Not now that I might know how to find my father.
At the dining area, my mind kept getting drawn back to the watch. I could barely keep up with what my mother talked about.
Before we left the house, I went into my room and took the watch. It wasn't moving, not even after I stepped out of the house.
This only meant whatever I had seen last night was definitely responsible for the watch working again.
My mother finished with my registration while I watched the other students in their classes. I got bored eventually and decided to visit the library.
As expected, there was absolutely no one in the library. I took a seat and brought out the watch, trying to think of reasons it would only work when close to the strange creature from last night.
Could it possibly belong to it?
"Not a chance." I mumbled to myself. This belonged to my father in fact, he always wore it around.
I just always saw it as a normal watch.
I hadn't stayed for too long in the library when the hands of the watch began spinning like crazy.
