Theia
Mr Colorful eyes was standing a great distance away from me but even from such a distance I could see the unsettling frown on his face. I tried to walk to him but I couldn't.
I looked around me and saw that there were a few others that definitely weren't human. They also weren't looking at me happily and I couldn't help but wonder what I had done wrong.
We were in a room that I could consider a court room in Brilfield. I tried to talk too but no words came out of my mouth. Mr Colorful eyes walked to me, still with that scowl on his face.
"Let's go." He grumbled under his breath before grabbing my arm.
His words left me confused as I thought he was mad at me for something but apparently, he seemed mad at where we were.
Before I would take a step further, I woke up.
I looked around and heaved a sight of relief realizing that I wasn't in any court but my room. I checked on my guest only to find out that he wasn't under the bed anymore.
"What the hell?!" My eyes widened in shock when I saw the empty space under my bed and the dirty clothes scattered around it.
I quickly looked around for the watch and gratefully, it was still on my bed, ticking.
I searched my room and even bathroom but he was nowhere around there. Scared that my mother might have seen him, I sat on my bed, doing nothing but staring at my watch.
It wasn't until I heard a loud crash outside my room that I got out.
"What the hell did you do?!" I yelled at him, ignoring the fact that he could kill me and make my dead body vanish if he wanted to.
How could I not when he had just broken the only Television my mother could afford after we sold the old one we had to save up money for my father's search?!
"What was that thing? It had people in it? Those were definitely not ordinary humans, they were definitely from the Underworld in human form. You have to be careful of them or they might kill you just like the one from last night almost did." He warned, staying a reasonable distance away from the television.
"What the hell are you talking about?! That's a freaking Television! Do you even have any idea how expensive that is?! Not everyone in Brilfield could own a television, you know? It cost my mother almost all her earnings from the field for one month to get us that television! And it's not a threat, it's for entertainment for pit's sake!" I fell to the chair afterward, hoping this was just like the dream where I was in a court.
"Hold on...." I suddenly remembered the last part of his words.
I got off the chair and walked toward him slowly, unaware of what he might do next.
"You said something about Underworld and how it relates to what we saw last night. Wh......wha..... what do you mean by that?" I asked him, forgetting about the broken television for the moment.
"So you're done yelling?" He folded his arms under his chest, looking so serious and I only rolled my eyes.
"How could I not? My mother spent a fortune on that thing and it wasn't even a threat. All those people in it were only entertaining whoever was going to watch them and they were definitely humans, just like me." I explained to him, a bit calm this time.
That didn't change the look on his face anyway.
"So what is this underworld thing about?" I asked him again.
"It's a part of Hell that shouldn't be let into the world. Whenever any of the Underdogs get released into earth, we come and take care of them before they hurt innocent people but apparently your kind isn't as innocent as my kind give you credit for. As a matter of fact, you have no trace of kindness in you." There was this rage in his eyes as he spoke. It was everything anger was.
Did he hate humans? Why protect us then?
"When you say 'we', you must mean all those other people I saw in the court. You all seemed common." My statement cleared the angry expression on his face and replaced it with confusion.
"What do you mean by that?" He asked, coming closer to me.
I took steps backward, uncomfortable with our proximity.
"I had this dream where I was somewhere unfamiliar. It seemed like a court and there were so many people in it, they all gave off the same vibe as you did." He stopped coming closer and said nothing else after my explanation.
"You do know what a court is, right?" I asked him but he still said nothing else.
"How did you get that thing in your hand?" Was all he said after a long moment of silence.
"Why do you want to know? What does it stand for?" I asked him, shoving the watch into my pocket as I became alarmingly aware of his presence and interest in the watch.
"What you saw last night had something to do with that watch, what I saw last night definitely had something to do with what happened to my parents so I might have just taken an interest in that watch too." He answered.
"So that thing.....the underworld or whatever you called it....it must have something to do with my dad. So then you can help me find my dad, right?" I was suddenly getting excited, despite his cold stare.
"This is good news!" I smiled, grabbing his arms, surprising him.
"I have been looking for my father for so long. I had no idea that a piece of junk could actually help." I laughed hardly.
He shrugged off my hands, straightening his coat, still with that cold look in his eyes.
"I'm not here to help any human find anyone or anything. Not when....." He stopped and looked away.
"Where's the way out?" He asked, looking around the house like another underdog thing would appear out of nowhere.
"You can't leave!" I disagreed, jumping in front of him.
"I mean, you don't even know how you ended up here."
He was about to speak but I gave him no chance, "You passed out after your fight with that Underworld thing from last night. I had to carry you home."
"Home?" He cocked his head and frowned even more but in all of his frowns, he only looked more handsome with those silver stained blue eyes.
"I brought you to my house." I corrected, clearing my throat noisily.
"There's no way I would lost consciousness after such a simple fight." He looked like he was thinking for a while.
"So you see,you certainly cannot leave right now. You look strange by the way, immediately you step out, everyone will notice you." I added quickly, tearing my gaze from his unnatural hair.
"Don't act like you were so kind, you kept me under your bed in the midst of your dirty socks. I thought guests were treated better on earth than in Hell." He hissed before tossing me aside and matching to the door after finding it.
"How dare you be such an ingrate?!" I got up and ran after him.
He paid me no attention but just kept walking to the door.
"Theia, I'm home!" My mom's voice rang out from outside the house just as Mr Colorful eyes turned the door knob.
