CHAPTER 4.1

An Omega’s Heat is like the menstruation to women, but unlike menstruation where the possibility of getting pregnant is low to none—the Heat is the peak of the pregnancy possibility for Omegas especially when he mated with an Alpha. A healthy Alpha’s sperm ensures the highest possibility of pregnancy; that is if the Omega doesn’t have any health and physical issues.

Ronan knows perfectly how much he enjoyed being filled by Forth.

Fuck.

With the technology today, one can already know if he or she is pregnant right after the first 24 hours that passed after mating.

Fuck.

Ronan stares at his reflection and he can feel himself vomiting again for the disgust he feels. It’s like the bile inside him is wanting to come out so he would puke all his guts in one go. Damn it. There’s this internal itch him that’s starting to surface and he terribly wants to scratch it.

This is exactly why he hates being an Omega. Fuck himself for being an Omega.

Fuck Forth.

A series of loud knocks on the bathroom door cuts off his line of thoughts. One more stare at his disgusting self, he finally came out.

Forth looks irritated. “You’re almost an hour in there.”

He ignored his rant and went to get his coat. He needs to cover himself not because he feels cold—he needs some cover because he knows he’ll start scratching himself.

“Let’s get this done and over with.”

Did Forth considered this to happen? Did he ever thought about the possibility of Ronan getting pregnant?

Right at that moment when Ronan was begging for his help to literally fuck him, all of those thoughts were absent in his mind. Even the slightest of thought of getting Ronan pregnant when he agrees to fuck him didn’t even hint the warning bells in his mind. He couldn’t say that he doesn’t care about that but it was better to say that that didn’t really cross his mind that very moment.

He only realized it when he met Heath and Elijah in the hospital the day he asked Ronan to come to him in the evening which was only yesterday.

He was scolded badly because, for one, both men knew that he doesn’t have the smoothest relationship with Ronan especially with the years that passed without communication and even simply seeing each other. Two, why didn’t he use any protection AKA condoms?

Both men knew that right at that moment, no one will have the choice but to do the inevitable especially that he is an Alpha. If it was a Beta or another Omega that saw Ronan that night, it would have been safer and better because they could have helped Ronan without the sex part. But taking into consideration that it could be any other Alpha—both men also knew perfectly that it was a whole lot better that he was the one who saw Ronan.

So, why didn’t he use any protection?

He had condom in his wallet. The hotel where they stayed at that night can specifically give him condoms if he needed them. He has all the protection he needed.

Why didn’t he use them?

Ronan coughs and it cut off his line of thoughts. They are here outside the OB-GYN’s private clinic, waiting for the result of his pregnancy tests. Ronan is scratching his arms again and this time, he takes his both hands to stop them.

“Stop scratching them because your arms don’t really itch.”

That seemed to surprise Ronan. “How did you know?”

“I just know, so stop scratching them or you’ll hurt yourself.”

Forth has heard multiple of times and has read couple of books regarding Fate—the unbreakable Bond between an Omega and an Alpha. The bond that is decided by destiny, both a curse and a blessing. A Bond that you didn’t choose for yourself but doesn’t have a choice but to accept it.

He knows it too well and seeing it with his own two eyes?

Eden and Elijah are Fated ones. Even how much those two deny it to themselves, they both knew it is going to be useless. It’s as complicated as with Kei and Heath’s love-hate relationship.

He was suddenly distracted when Ronan enters the cafeteria and he immediately knew it was him. That made him smile and he was about to call the guy but it seemed that he didn’t notice him. That made him frown. Was there a problem?

It isn’t his business but Ronan has become his friend. Yes, he should just focus on his next plans with Eden—but still, Ronan is their friend. The guy looked a little lost and had this urge to help. So, he did what he had to do. He followed Ronan until they reached the isolated garden of the university.

What is Ronan going to do here and why didn’t he even notice him?

Then Ronan did what surprised him.
