Chapter 15 Domineering and brutal!

As soon as Alina freed herself from Caleb's grasp, she immediately distanced herself and regarded him warily. "Go," she commanded.

"Alina," he spoke in his usual calm demeanor.

Yet amidst this calmness, Alina sensed an unprecedented danger lurking. Andre's departure had been orchestrated by Caleb. Could it be that her return was also part of his calculated plan?

The possibility flashed through her mind, causing her heart to teeter on the edge of collapse. Her face turned pale as she stared at Caleb.

Caleb rose from his seat and approached her side, making her nervous. His long fingers lifted her chin, eliciting anger within Alina.

"What do you want?" she demanded.

"What do you think?" he replied.

"You have a fiancée. Your fiancée is Emma."

The memory of that incident haunted Alina for a long time. Even now, she couldn't escape the shadow of that year. How could Emma be that kind of person? And to become her ex-husband's fiancée? What a cruel twist of fate.

The words escaped her lips, and Caleb tightened his grip on her chin. "Do you truly not know why she became my fiancée?"

Two years ago, he had even attempted to kill Alina when she was pregnant to protect Emma.

"I don't want to know all your disgusting and sordid affairs," Alina retorted.

He released her, not paying heed to her words. However, his tone grew even colder and harsher. "Divorce papers have been given to Andre for signing."

"What?" Alina exclaimed.

She had known Caleb to be domineering before, but she had never been concerned. Now, she fully grasped the terror this man instilled.

"He won't sign," Alina gritted her teeth fiercely, without waiting for Caleb to respond.

Upon hearing her words, Caleb laughed, seemingly mocking them with his knowledge. "He will."

He must have employed some underhanded tactics once again. After failing to achieve his desired outcome with her and witnessing Andre's departure from Ingford, he now resorted to presenting the divorce agreement. Alina knew Caleb had a way to make Andre sign it.

But a mere divorce agreement could never sever the bond between her and Andre.

Alina coldly stared at Caleb, who was already seated on the sofa. "What else are you afraid to do?"

"You've misunderstood. I'm not the one who will suffer losses," he retorted.

So she was expected to accept the compensations?

"I have a new car for you, and it will be delivered tomorrow."

"I don't need it." Alina's anger surged even higher.
