CHAPTER 19

Her eyes are deep violet. They are the same shade as mine. Everything about her resembles me. It's almost like I'm looking into a mirror except I'm not, because I'm blonde and she's a redhead.

"Why do you look like me?" I ask my spitting image.

"I am you."

"What?"

"I'm Aurora and I'm you." She moves in to touch me repeating that she's me but I don't want her near me. "No no no, don't!"

"Heaven! Heaven!" His voice is urgent, pulling me from the depths of whatever's is happening inside of my head.

I close my eyes and open them again. He's towering above me, half naked with small water drops on all over his body. His eyes are full of panic and worry.

I raise my hand and run it all over his naked chest. "You are here." I smile.

He ignores my intimate gesture and lifts me from the ground so that I can be on my feet. "Are you okay?" He asks.

"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" I ask, focusing on his body. I'm mesmerized by his muscular build and I can't stop touching him.

"Because I heard yelling and a loud bang then I come out to see you passed out and my mirror shattered!" He's clearly worried about what happened to me but I'm not. I'm fine. "And will you stop groping me." He adds and removes my hand from his chest.

"Come on, let me touch you."

"Heaven...." He sounds frustrated and anxious.

"Maybe you will feel better if I took my clothes off." I start to unbutton my shirt but he stops me.

He literally shakes me. "You are not okay. You are acting really strange and it's starting to scare me."

I step back from him. "I didn't mean to scare you." I tell him sincerely.

He sighs. "It's ok, I just want you to be okay." He takes my hand and leads me to the bed. "You fainted, maybe you should sit down. I will clean up before one of us steps on the glass." I nod and he kisses my head. "I will be right back."

He starts to leave but I grab him and pull his face to mine so I can kiss him. He's surprised but he reciprocates. He pulls back too soon and I'm left panting and wanting more.

He starts to pick up the broken shards of glass which is a really bad idea because he cuts himself a few seconds later.

I get off the bed immediately and rush over to him. He cut his hand and it's bleeding profusely.

"Are you ok?" Now I'm the worried one.

"Yeah, it's just a little bit of blood. Don't worry about it."

"Blood." I repeat the word. There's so much of it and under normal circumstances I would faint at the sight of blood but I'm not normal, at least not anymore.

I can't look away from his bleeding hand. I don't know, it's like I'm tempted to reach out and touch it or maybe taste it. Wait what, taste it?

I abruptly step away from him and he notices how sudden my mood changes.

"It's just blood, the cut is not even that deep."

"Will you stop saying blood!" I snap at him and instantly regret it. What is wrong with me? "I'm sorry, I just hate blood." Well I used to, now I'm not sure how I feel about it.

"Hey," I look at him, anxious to touch him and help him clean his wound but I don't trust myself right now. "It's fine. I will go clean my hand and come back ok."

I nod. "Okay."

"I will be right back."

"Sky." I stop him. "Come back to me." Confusion flashes across his face but he nods non the less.

"Be right back." He says and leaves the room.

Upon his departure I pick up my blazer and wear it. I feel different, like really different. I look around the room and horror fills me as I see the shards of glass scattered all over the room.

What is wrong with me? I know Sky is freaked out, I could see it on his face, I'm also freaked out. This is new to me, I never lash out with an audience and I'm not prepared for the inevitable questions that Sky is going to ask when he comes back to clean my mess.

Since I don't have any answers to the questions he's going to ask I do the only thing I can think of, I sneak out before he comes back.

"Im you."

It's now stuck in my head. Ever since I left Sky's house my mood shifted from playful to hysterical. I don't understand it myself but it feels like I have a split personality.

For instance earlier I had been freaking out over the fact that my hair color had changed, at least from what I was supposedly seeing, and then I wake up and I don't care about the incident, it's as if I forgot about it.

I know myself and I know I would never ignore something so serious even with Sky around as a distraction.

I swear it's like I became someone else for a moment, especially when Sky was hurt. It's as if I wanted him to get hurt which is absurd because I love him very much.

How the hell am I ever going to explain to Sky why I acted like a lunatic?

"Young lady?" I turn my attention to the middle aged woman speaking to me. I don't know how long I have been sitting on the sidewalk with my head in my hands.

"Are you alright?" She has kind eyes and I can see she's genuinely concerned about me but after my judge of character with the freaky girl in the alley I'm not going to easily give in with this stranger.

"Yes." I say and get up to my feet.

She doesn't believe I'm okay. "Are you okay, you look like you have been assulted." She's looking at my uniform.

I suppose I'm a little dirty for someone who's in a school uniform and my shirt is still partially unbuttoned. "Oh." I say and quickly button up my shirt. "Thank you." I don't wait for her to reply I just walk away.

I need to get home before my father does because the last thing I need is for him to give me another punishment.
