Kaoru P.O.V

- This is Sasuke, arrived at point B.

- This is Sakura, arrived at point C.

- Kaoru, point D.

- This is Naruto, arrived at point A.

- You're slow, Naruto. Okay, team 7...the target has moved. – dad said.

I sighed...this is stupid.

- Okay, he's there. – Naruto stated.

No kidding.

- What's the distance to the target? – dad asked.

- 5 meters. I'm ready to go. – Naruto said.

- Me too. – Sasuke said.

- Me too. – Sakura said.

- Kaoru? – dad asked.

- Huh? Oh yeah yeah me too. – I said bored.

- Ok.......Go! – dad said.

They sped to the cat while I walked.

Naruto got the cat...good for him.

- Does it have a ribbon on its right ear? Is it our target Tora? – dad asked while Naruto was being scratched by the cat.

- It's our target for sure. – Sasuke stated.

I sighed...this mission is stupid.

The cat stopped scratching Naruto and jumped into my arms and started to purr which made me smile slightly so I started petting him.

- Okay. "Operation Capture Tora the Lost Cat" is complete. – dad announced.

Sakura was now glaring at me...again.

- Need something, pinkie? – I asked her coldly.

- How can the cat like a cold person like you?! – Sakura said coming towards me.

- Maybe because I'm not stupid, useless fangirl. – I said coldly.

- What did you say?! – she asked coming even near me which made the cat hiss.

- Not even the cat likes you, pinkie. Now...get out of my way. – I said coldly.

She glared at me but did what I said.

I was now next to Sasuke and we were going towards dad.

- ISN'T THERE A MORE EXCITING MISSION WE CAN WORK ON?! – Naruto screamed.

AHHHHHHHHHH MY EARS!!!!!

I fell on the floor completely dizzy.

- Eh?! KAORU-CHAN!!! – Naruto screamed again.

I'm so dizzy....

- Baka! Stop screaming! – Sasuke said.

- T-Teme! – Naruto said.

- Are you okay? – Sasuke asked while helping me up with Tora still on my arms.

- Y-Yeah...wait.... – I said and fell on my ass.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow.

- M-Maybe not. – I said embarrassed and dizzy.

- Gomen Kaoru-chan. – Naruto said.

- I-It's okay. – I said.

Sasuke took the cat from me and gave it to Naruto so Sasuke would help me walk until I felt better.

I could feel Sakura throwing daggers at me with her eyes.

I sighed.

- Are you okay? What's wrong? – Sasuke whispered.

- Nothing. I'm just bored, dizzy and I'm tired of being glared at by your stupid fangirl. What do you see in her anyway? – I said.

- What do you mean? I don't even like her! – Sasuke said.

- Huh? I thought you did. – I said.

He was looking at me right in the eyes but then looked the other way with a faint blush.

- I don't like her. I have eyes on another person. – he said and somehow and I don't know why but it made me sad.

- I see...well, she's a lucky girl. Have you told her yet? – I said.

- N-No. Why do you want to know anyway? – he asked.

- N-No reason! J-Just curious. – I said looking the other way so he couldn't see me blush.

What the HELL is wrong with me?!

Sasuke P.O.V

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?!

Why didn't I just tell her that I like her?!

Why is this so difficult?

Kaoru P.O.V

We were now at the Hokage's office and delivered Tora to the owner.

- Ohh my cute Tora-chan I was so worried about you! – the owner said.

My eye twitched in annoyance.

- Can I kill her and keep the cat? – I whispered to dad.

Dad gave me an evil look and Sasuke smirked.

- That cat's getting what he deserves. – Naruto said.

- No wonder why he ran away. – Sakura said.

With that the poor cat and the woman left.

- Now Team 7 next mission is...babysitting, grocery shopping – the Hokage started but was interrupted.

- NO! NO! NO! I WANT TO DO A MORE EXCITING MISSION! – Naruto said.

Well...at least he said what I thought.

- Baka! You're still a novice ninja! – Iruka said.

I rolled my eyes and went a bit back and I sat and leaned against the wall and heard them discussing.

I sighed...what a drag...wow, I sound like Shika.

- If you insist – the Hokage started.

I looked at him surprised...wow, Naruto convinced the old man.

- I will allow you to take on a C ranked mission. It's to escort a certain someone. – the Hokage said.

- Really?! – Naruto asked.

Well...at least it's not chasing a cat.

- Who? Who? – Naruto asked excited.

- Can you please come in now? – the Hokage said.

I was still sitting when a drunk old man entered.

- What?! They're all kids! – the guy said.

I raised an eyebrow...really we have to escort this guy?

- Hey, is the smallest one there with the idiotic face really a ninja? – he asked.

- Hahahaha! Who's the smallest one with the idiotic face?! – Naruto asked.

So clueless.

Then the 3 lined up and Naruto of course got mad.

- I'M GOING TO KILL YOU! – Naruto said.

- Don't kill the client you're supposed to escort, baka. – dad said to him while holding him back.

I rolled my eyes.

- And you sitting there, you look like a snob, cold brat! Can you even do anything? – he asked me and I saw Sakura smirk.

The room became dead silent.

Without anyone notice I disappeared and reappeared behind him.

- Careful with your words, sir. If not, they might have to protect you from me. – I said with venom.

- Kaoru, that's enough. – the Hokage said calmly.

I went to Sasuke's side.

- Stupid drunk old man. – I mumbled.

- You're okay Kaoru-chan? – Naruto asked.

- Huh? – I asked and looked at him, he was looking at me worried and I just smiled warmly to him.

- I am, don't worry about it. – I said and saw Sasuke glare at Naruto.

Why is he glaring at him?

- I am the bridge builder expert Tazuna. I want you to protect my life with yours while I complete the bridge. – he said.

I raised an eyebrow...really?

- Can we have the cat missions again? – I asked bluntly.

BONK

- OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?! – I asked dad.

- Do I need to tell you why?! – dad said.

I glared at him and then to Tazuna.

- It's your fault. – I said to Tazuna with venom.

He immediately got scared.

- You better be scared, I'm g – I started but Sasuke put his hand above my mouth.

- Thank you Sasuke. – dad said.

I glared at Sasuke and he smirked.

I'M SHOOK!

- OW! – Sasuke said.

- HAHAHAHAHAHA! – Naruto laughed.

- Why did you bite my hand?! – Sasuke asked me.

- That's what you deserve! – I said.

- YOU BIT MY SASUKE-KUN! – Sakura screamed mad.

- SHUT UP PINKIE OR I'LL BITE YOUR HEAD OFF! – I said.

- You're crazy! – Sakura said.

Sasuke was now glaring at me.

- WHAT? WANNA FIGHT DUCKBUTT?! – I asked him.

- You're gonna pay! – he said.

- BRING IT ON DUCKBUTT! – I said.

Our foreheads were touching and we were glaring at each other.

- HAHAHAHA! Look at them, they're in love! – we heard.

Me and Sasuke stopped glaring and our heads turned to who said that....................Naruto.

- What did you say? – I asked him with an evil voice.

- H-Huh? K-Kaoru-chan? – Naruto said taking a few steps back.

- I didn't heard you right. Say it again. – Sasuke said coldly.

Naruto was now against the wall.

- YOU! – me and Sasuke said going towards Naruto when...

- ENOUGH! – the Hokage screamed.

- Huh? – we all turned to him.

He was looking at us mad.

- You don't scare me! – me and Naruto said in unison.

BONK

- OW! – me and Naruto said after being hit bay dad who was furious.

Me and Naruto hugged each other and we started anime crying.

- He's so mean to us! – I said.

- You're mean dattebayo! – Naruto said.

He looked at us even more furious.

Naruto went to hide himself behind Sakura.

- You don't scare me! – I said to dad.

He started coming towards me.

- Hit me again and I'll destroy those books of yours! – I said evilly and he immediately stopped.

I smirked...nailed it!

BONK

- Stop hiding behind me! – Sakura said after hitting Naruto.

I sped to her and was ready to kick her when dad stopped me and gave me a warning look.

- Huh? – Sakura said confused.

- Why did you stop me? – I asked him coldly.

- You know why. – dad said serious.

I looked at Sakura and she smirked, I looked down and without anyone notice I started to concentrate chakra on my right hand....now...

I disappeared and reappeared in front of her and punched her in the abdomen.

- AHHH! – she said going against the wall.

- KAORU! – dad said mad.

I looked at him and they all widened their eyes.

- What? – I asked coldly.

- Kaoru why did you do that? – dad asked.

- WHY?! – I said mad.

- Y-You b-bastard. – Sakura said getting up.

I looked at her furious.

- Kaoru. – the Hokage said.

I looked at him and then turned to Sakura.

- Hit him again...and I'll rip your hands off. – I said with venom and everyone looked at me shocked.

- K-Kaoru-chan...i-it's okay. I-I don't mind. – Naruto said.

I looked at him.

- No...it's not "okay". You already have to deal with the stupid villagers...don't lie to me, Naruto. – I said.

- K-Kaoru... - dad said.

- You deserve love...not hate...or someone hitting you all the time just because... - I said looking down.

He deserves love and not be abandoned like I was.

Then I felt a hand on my shoulder...Sasuke...I shook it off and said.

- Excuse me.

I ran out of there.

- Kaoru! – I heard.

Sasuke P.O.V

Stupid Sakura!

Kaoru looked like she was hurting when she said that to Naruto.

Naruto P.O.V

Kaoru-chan...

How does she understands me so well?

How does she know that Sakura doing that and calling me annoying affects me?

- So...this are the people who are going to protect me? – Tazuna asked.

- Yes, I'm sorry for this little argument. – the Hokage said.

Little?!

- Can't you change the team? I don't like the snob, cold heartless brat who just left. – he said.

Sasuke and I glared at him and Sakura...smirked?

- That's my daughter you're talking about. – Kakashi-sensei said mad.

- She is a brat that doesn't show any love, she's just a snob, cold – he started but I stopped him.

- DON'T TALK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT! – I said mad.

- Huh? – Tazuna said.

- YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HER! – I said.

- NARUTO BE RESPECTFUL! And Tazuna-san is right, so stop being annoying! – Sakura said.

I widened my eyes and looked down.

- Tch. – I said and ran away.

Stupid...they don't understand.

Sasuke P.O.V

Naruto just left.

I looked at Sakura and said.

- Shut up...you're annoying.

She widened her eyes.

- S-Sasuke-kun...why? – she asked.

- Tch. – I said and was ready to leave when Kakashi stopped me and looked at me...so he wants me to go find them.

I nodded and left.

Kaoru P.O.V

Why is she like that to him?

He doesn't deserve that...he's...DAMN IT!

Stupid useless fangirl!

I finished packing my things and got out of the house and started running until I bumped into someone and fell.

Great.

- Kaoru-chan. – I heard.

- Huh? – I said and looked up...Naruto.

He gave me his hand and helped me up.

- Are you okay? – Naruto asked me.

- Yeah...I'm fine. What are you doing here? The gates are in the opposite way. – I said.

- I came looking for you. – Naruto answered.

- Huh? Why? – I asked confused.

He grinned.

- Because you're my bestfriend! – Naruto said.

I widened my eyes.

- I'm fine don't worry about it. – I said a bit harsh and was about to walk when Naruto stopped me by grabbing my hand.

- Don't lie to me, I saw your eyes. You're sad and lonely, Kaoru-chan...I know you don't want to talk about it but if you need I'm here. – Naruto said.

- Why? – I asked.

- Huh? – Naruto said confused.

- Why do you let her treat you like that? – I asked looking at him and he just looked down.

- I don't know...I guess I'm just used to it. – Naruto said.

- It doesn't mean you deserve it Naruto! You of all people...you don't deserve that. – I said and he smiled.

- Thank you Kaoru-chan. You always cared and fought for me. – Naruto said.

- Of course I do! We promised to be there for each other. – I said and he grinned.

- You're right! And I'll protect you with my life, believe it! – Naruto said which mad me smile a bit.

- Thank you. – I said.

- OI! You 2! – we heard.

- Huh? – me and Naruto said and turned around to see who it was.

- Teme! What are you doing here?! – Naruto asked.

- Looking for Kaoru and you dobe. – Sasuke said and came to my side.

- Are you okay? – Sasuke asked worried.

I smiled warmly at him which again...HE BLUSHED!

- Let's go Naruto, Sasuke. – I said grabbing their hands and making our way to the gates.

* At the Gates*

We were now arriving at the gates and dad, pinkie and Tazuna were there already.

Dad looked at me with a look that was asking if I was alright and I just shrugged it which made him look sad and sigh.

- Well, now that we are all here let's go. – dad said.

- All right, let's go! – Naruto said excited.

- Baka. – Sasuke mumbled.

- Don't be mean, he's just excited. – I said calmly to Sasuke.

- Hn. – Sasuke said.

I sighed.

- Why are you all excited for? – Sakura asked Naruto.

- Because I've never gone outside the village before. – Naruto answered.

- Oi will a kid like this really be capable of this mission? – Tazuna asked.

Dad laughed nervously.

- He's more capable than you'll ever be. – I mumbled which made Sasuke smirk.

- I am a jounin and so is my daughter. We will be accompanying you, there's no need to worry. – dad said.

- Why worry anyway? It's not like we'll be giving our lives for you on a C ranked mission...is it? – I said to Tazuna.

- R-Right. – Tazuna said looking the other way.

He's lying...he's hiding something.

- Hey old man, don't underestimate ninjas! I'm a great ninja! I'm the elite ninja who will receive the title of Hokage one day. The name is Uzumaki Naruto. Remember it! – Naruto said.

I smiled slightly.

- Hokage is the village's number one ninja, right? I don't think a guy like you can become one. – Tazuna said.

I put my hands into fists...How dare he?

Then I felt a hand on my shoulder...Sasuke.

- Calm down. – Sasuke whispered.

I nodded slightly.

- Shut up! I'm willing to go through any hardship to become Hokage! If I become Hokage you'll have to take notice me! – Naruto said.

- I won't, kid. That is, even if you become a Hokage. – Tazuna said.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

- I'M GOING TO KILL YOU! – Naruto said but dad stopped him.

- Stop it. – dad said to Naruto and by the corner of my eye I see Sakura smirking.

Tch.

- Want me to rip off that smirk off of your face...Sakura? – I asked with venom.

- Huh? N-No. – she said scared.

- And you. – I said looking at Tazuna.

- Huh? What? – he said.

- Do you think it's wise criticizing and talk like that to the people who are going to protect you? – I said coldly.

Tazuna widened his eyes.

- Glad you realized it. Can we speed up? As soon as we finish this mission the sooner we get rid off the old man. – I said annoyed.

Dad sighed.

- C'mon let's speed up. – dad said.

- Finally. – me and Sasuke said in unison which made us smirk.

We were walking.

I was beside Sasuke while Tazuna, Sakura and dad were in front of us and Naruto in front of them.

They were talking I don't know about what, I wasn't paying attention. I came back to reality when I saw a puddle...........wow.....I don't know who they are but...THEY'RE STUPID AS FUCK!

I looked at the others and it seems only dad saw it.

Suddenly chains came from behind and "killed" dad.

- AHHH! – Sakura screamed scared.

- KAKASHI-SENSEI! – Naruto screamed.

Suddenly they went to Naruto.

- Sasuke! – I said and he nodded.

I sped to the guys that were behind Naruto and kicked their chins, Sasuke immediately threw a shuriken and a kunai to pin their chains to a tree. Sasuke went to them and kicked their faces.

The guys immediately got rid of the chains, one went to Naruto and the other to Tazuna....dad......he's coming and he's nearer of Naruto than I am. Then I see Sasuke go in front of Sakura and Tazuna....damn it.

I sped there and...

- Rasengan! – I said hitting the guy in the stomach which made the others look at me with eyes wide open.

Dad just got the other one but unfortunately Naruto got hurt.

- You're a bit late, don't you think? – I told dad while I pinned the one I attacked to the ground.

- Naruto, sorry for not helping out right away I got you hurt, I just didn't think you would freeze like that. – dad said.

From the corner of my eye I see Tazuna sigh in relief.

So he really is hiding something...great, just great.

- Anyway. Sasuke good job, you too Sakura. And Kaoru, that Rasengan was perfect, amazing job. – dad said.

I heard it but I was still looking at Tazuna completely mad.

- W-What? – he asked.

- Kaoru, back down. – dad said while he took the guy I was pinning.

- Tch. – I said and went to Naruto.

- Oi. – Sasuke said to Naruto.

- Huh? What? – Naruto asked.

- Are you hurt...scaredy cat? – Sasuke asked him.

I sighed...boys.

- SASUKE! – Naruto said ready to move towards Sasuke when.

- NARUTO! – dad said in a warning tone which made Naruto stop.

- W-What? – he asked.

- There's poison on their claws. We need to take the poison out right away. – dad said.

- He's right, we have to open up your wound and leech out the poisoned blood. – I explained.

- Exactly so don't move that much or the poison will spread through your body, by the way Tazuna-san. – dad said.

- W-What is it? – he asked.

- I need to talk to you. – dad said.

So he noticed too, of course.

- Kaoru help me tie this guys up to the tree. – dad said.

- Hai, hai. – I said bored and went to help him.

We were now all looking at those 2 tied up.

- These guys are chunnin class ninja from the Hidden Village of the Mist. They are ninjas known to keep fighting no matter the cost. – dad explained.

- How were you able to detect our action? – on asked.

- Because you're dumb. – I said.

- What brat?! – the one I attacked said.

- This "brat" just kicked your stupid dumb ass and yes you are dumb! It hasn't rain in days and today it's a SUNNY day so...How in the world is a puddle doing in the middle of the way?! – I said.

- Very well, Kaoru. – dad said proudly.

- Why did you let the kids fight when you knew that. – Tazuna asked.

- Well if I was up to it I could have killed these 2 in a blink of an eye but...I needed to know who their target was. – dad said.

I looked at Tazuna who was now scared.

- W-What do you mean? – he asked.

- In other words, were you being targeted or somebody from our ninja group. – dad said.

- We have not heard ANYTHING about YOU being targeted by NINJA, because YOUR request was to protect you from ARMED GROUPS like GANGS and ROBBERS. – I said.

- Exactly. – dad confirmed.

- This was supposed to be a B rank mission or even a higher rank mission...wasn't it? – I asked.

- If ninja are our enemy this mission would have been an expensive B rank. It looks like you had your reasons – dad started but I interrupted him.

- Having reasons or not he should have told us the truth before we got out if the village, at least they wouldn't be put in danger. – I said mad and Tazuna just looked down.

- This mission is out of our league. Let's quit and we need to take out the poisoned blood out of Naruto. – Sakura said.

I rolled my eyes.

- Now she cares about Naruto, what a coincidence. – I mumbled.

Naruto was looking at his hand.

- This sure is a burden. Let's go back to cure Naruto. – dad said.

And out of nowhere Naruto cuts himself with his kunai...well...at least the poison is out.

Everyone was looking at him with eyes wide open.

- See what you did! – I mouthed to dad and he sweatdropped.

- Why am I so different?...why am I always...damn it! – Naruto said.

- Naruto what are you doing?! – Sakura asked.

- I should be stronger...I've accomplished lots of missions and I've practiced techniques every day. I'm never going to do something that will require someone to help me, I'm never going to be frightened and try to back out of things. I'm not going to lose to Sasuke. I vow that to this pain in my left hand, I'm going to protect the old man with this kunai! The mission is still on. – Naruto said.

- Naruto, it's nice that you took out the poisoned blood so spiritedly...but you're going to die from blood loss if any more comes out. – dad said.

Naruto was now petrified and scared.

- It's not good if you don't stop it right away...seriously. – dad said.

I glared at dad because now Naruto was running around screaming.

I sighed and went to Naruto.

- Show me your hand. – I said and he did.

- Help me! I don't want to die! – Naruto screamed scared.

My hands started to glow green...his hand is already healing...must be the nine tails.

Anyway let's just heal the rest.

- Umm..Ummm – Naruto said.

- Huh? – I said looking at him in the eyes.

- K-Kaoru-chan...am I okay? You have a serious look on your face. – Naruto said scared and I smiled warmly at him.

- You'll be just fine Naruto, don't worry it's healed. Let me just clean the blood so you can see it's nothing there already. – I said and that's what I did.

- HOW?! – Naruto and Sakura asked impressed.

- Medical Ninjutsu. It appears that we have a medic on our team. Where did you learned that? – dad asked me.

- Here and there, not important. – I said shrugging it.

So he really doesn't know...strange...maybe she really never told him.

Dad sighed sadly because I didn't answer him.

- Thank you Kaoru-chan! – Naruto said hugging me.

- It's okay Naruto. – I said but he just hugged tighter.

- N-Naruto...c-cant b-breath! – I said.

- Let her go dobe! – Sasuke said pulling Naruto off of me.

- TEME! – Naruto said.

- Dobe. – Sasuke said.

They were now glaring at each other.
