Chapter 12: Billy’s worst day

It was 5 pm, Leah was getting ready to get home, she called Kessy to inform her she was already in town, Kessy picked the call and was glad to know she was already around, she asked how the journey was and Leah answered fine, she dropped the call and was heading towards the gate, she was done for the day. Leah was by the roadside waiting for a taxi when Sara came across her.

"So you're around?" Sara asked with a surprise on her face.

"And how is that your business? Leah asked while folding her hands on her waist. Immediately after Leah said that, she continued her way she didn't want to continue seeing Sara worst of all even talking to her. Not far away she met a taxi which was going in her direction, she quickly stopped the taxi, gave her location and entered. Meanwhile, Sara was wondering why she had not been seeing Leah for so long until now, not long, Billy was equally stepping out of his company building, Sara seeing him made her equally remember she had been seeing him, she was lost as she was thinking of Billy and Leah was on holidays, she knew Billy liked flirting with women but she refused to believe he was flirting with Leah. Saying this to herself, she quickly opened her bag held her phone, and called Sharon, she called twice as Sharon didn't pick the first call she took the second, with no hesitation Sara opened up to Sharon that she just met Leah on her way to the supermarket. Sharon who taught Leah had may be gone back to her former city, one more time she was deceived. As Sharon dropped her call she went directly to her mother-in-law's room, to go tell her what Sara and she discussed over the phone, Evelyn was a little bit shocked but had nothing to border about. Sharon was afraid everytime she heard about Leah because deep in her, she knew Jackson was still in love with her thou he had always refused it at several occasions. Hence, she tried all means possible for them not to meet themselves talk less of interacting between themselves. Evelyn had preferred Sharon over Leah as her daughter-in-law because compared to Leah she could control Sharon, she has always wanted a daughter-in-law which was easier for her to manipulate.

Leah was home by now, trying to get herself something to eat, she was making fried rice and roasted chicken, the things she had in the house were not going to be sufficient so she went to to the nearby grocery store to complete her cooking stuff, 20 minutes later she was back from the road and continued what she was doing in her tiny kitchen, after finishing she called Kessy if she was already ready for their appointment, Kessy answered the phone and told her she was almost ready. While waiting for Kessy, Leah was almost done in the kitchen as Kessy was meeting her in her room, 30 minutes later there was a knock on Leah's door, she was in the bathroom refreshing herself, just as she heard a knock she already knew it was Kessy because Leah was the type of person who did not like inviting people to her room moreover after 3 years been out of Hilton she had lost most of her friends as she was no longer married to her billionaire husband, Jackson hence, she had just a few friends, Mary peters and Kessy Robert. When Leah heard the knock on her door she quickly tied her towel, went out of the bathroom and rushed to the door, it was her friend Kessy, she huge her and once she entered, she offered her a seat, Kessy sat down and Leah asked her to give her 20 minutes, time for her to get done with her bath and time for her to dress and come meet her, Kessy accepted and while Leah was in the bathroom Kessy found a book containing old pictures of Leah, she opened the book to go over it, she met pictures of Evelyn, her ex-husband, and pictures of herself, some of the pictures where even torn. Leah was done, came over to the table where Kessy was seated and joined her. She served the food, they ate and she accompanied her back to the road for her to get a taxi back home.

The next morning, Billy was still home,trying to prepare for work, his door was not well closed, from his bathroom he heard someone entering the living room. He quickly left his bathroom, from his bedroom there was a camera he checked from there and saw it was Ivy entering his house, she entered his room and met him naked, he wasn't a shame seeing Ivy met him in a naked state. He asked her why she came to his house without informing her, she answered saying she's his girlfriend and that she still has the right to come to his house with or without his permission, before she could finish what she was saying, Billy, stopped her and said they are no longer together and that next time before coming to his house she should inform him before and if he is available he would let her know. Ivy insisted she stood behind him, started caressing him from the back, he tried removing her hands from him, but she was caressing him so hard that he fell for her before he could discover they were in bed having sex. After all their activity Ivy taught the relationship was back to life, but unfortunately for her, Billy said he was no longer interested in the relationship and that his going to work immediately, he went to his box opened it, and took money packed in a small box he drew it on her and was getting ready to get to work. Ivy turned and drew back the money on him asking him if she's a stuff to him. Deep inside of her, she understood she was in for the money, knowing who was Billy, a man who felt for everything wearing a skirt. Entering into the relationship with Billy she knew he was never going to get married to her, hence she had to collect money from him, throwing back the money on him was like a pretext for her to make him feel she wasn't only interested in his money. Billy left the money there and told her when she was ready to collect the money she could take it and get out of his house, it was already 11 am when Billy looked at his watch, from his window he told his driver to get ready and that they were leaving for work. Once again Ivy tried holding him back, he held her from her hands and pushed her towards the wall, she fell hitting her waist on the floor, it was painful she lied on the floor from her stomach site. Billy called his driver and instead of going to work he carried Ivy to the hospital, on their arrival the nurses were occupied but since he was an influential man, he quickly got a nurse to attend to Ivy. He was at the reception waiting for result of the tests they just made. Ivy was lying on the sick bed like someone who was dying. She was still praying that Billy changed his mind about their relationship. Sleeping on the bed her pains had gone down but pretended because she wanted Billy to stay with her. The process was taking long so he called his chief maid in the house which was like a mother to him to come and take care of Ivy while he get to work, he didn't want to allow her alone in the hospital knowing he was the one responsible for her pains. Immediately his chief maid arrived at the hospital, he gave her some money to take care of the hospital bills, he went out of the hospital without informing Ivy he was leaving. Ivy slept comfortably in the room thinking Billy was in the reception waiting for her to get well, she was surprised when she asked the nurse to get Billy, the nurse went to the reception checked and couldn't find Billy anyway around the hospital premises, she asked who was responsible for Ivy and the maid just sitting beside informed the nurse that she was replacing Billy since he already got to work. The nurse went back to Ivy's room and told her Billy already left I'm for work but he had assigned someone to be with her. She was furious, she couldn't believe Billy left her in the hands of a maid, she wanted to call him but she calmed down.

It was 1 pm of the day when Billy's car drove into the building, he hurriedly stepped out of the car and was walked quickly to his office, the staff greeted him but he didn't even notice as he was walking fast to get to his office, he was having a meeting with Mrs. Elssie, they were to discuss the terms of the collaboration. He entered his office, by his phone he requested Leah to meet him his office, Leah and Mary Peters were not available as they went out for a break, they were seated in a restaurant, not far from their building, they were having something to eat while eating they were discussing, they were seriously wondering why Billy wasn't at work, the knew he wasn't that kind of boss who absent from work, he was arrogant yes, he was harsh, yes but when it came to his work he was always present and even when he was about taking a shift he made sure he informed the staff, Leah and Mary we're discussing without knowing the break period was over, little did they know that Billy was already at work and even requesting to see them. They finished eating paid their bills and left for their building, immediately they entered, the staff informed them that Billy was already around and searching for them. They hurried rushed to Billy's office, they knocked and he demanded them to enter, once they entered, Billy looked at them for close to 2 minutes, raised his head and asked them if they were investors in his company they said no, he asked if they were partners and they still said no, he later asked them if while their break they weren't checking their time, they tried excusing themselves but he stopped them and continued with his questions. Billy was in hanger not only because of Leah and Mary, he was equally angry as Ivy had made him waist time on her. They were not understanding why the boss was been harshed towards them, they simply held their calm after all they  already knew he was and just let him talking while they listen to him. After he had finished shouting at them he ordered them to go do their job as they were having a meeting with Mrs. Elssie's staff. Leah and Mary rushed to the hall where the meeting was going to hold quickly arranged some torn flowers cleaned the environment and made sure everything was ready before the arrival of Mrs. Elssie and her staff. At exactly 4 pm it was time for the meeting, Leah and Mary were outside welcoming Mrs. Elssie staff, they all took their respective seats Billy was the only one absent as he was still in his office piling up the documents, Leah knew it wasn't a good thing for her to be in the hall and her boss not around. She left the hall and went straight to Billy's office and discovered he was struggling to put the documents together, she took the documents from his hands and started arranging them, he was looking how she was passionately gathering the documents, just as they were about to go for the meeting, Billy's phone rang, it was Ivy calling, Billy decided to ignore the call because he knew Ivy was troublesome.
