Ch_31

Ruhaan's P.O.V.

Leaving the park, I again came to my office and kept working till late on a project. My phone kept ringing but I didn’t bother to check as I knew, it was from Shaan for sure.

Being tired, I leaned back on the chair and closed my eyes. After a while I opened my eyes. I checked my phone and found 10 missed calls of Shaan.

I kept the phone aside and thought to myself, "I won’t get married Shaan. The person who was supposed to choose a girl for me is no longer here. But you have to."

While thinking like that I again leaned back on the chair and closed my eyes and didn’t know when I fell asleep.

Opening my eyes, I looked at the watch. It was already 2 AM.

"Today I have an important meeting and the work is not completed yet." I uttered under my breath and started working again.

When the project plan was finally completed, it was already 5 AM.

Then I rushed home for a shower.

Roshni's P.O.V.

Ammi woke me and Tithy up for fazar prayer. After prayer, we slept again for sometime. By the time I was up, breakfast was ready.

Tithy was still sleeping. After taking my breakfast, I left for office. When I reached office, it was 8:50 AM. Murat sir came after a while and we left for Ahmed Industry for the meeting.

Entering the office, my eyes caught the sight of Ruhaan. "What is he doing here?" I uttered under my breath when he came forward and shook hands with Murat Sir.

Murat Sir introduced me to him. "Mr. Ahmed, she is Roshni Hasan, my Project manager and she will be handling this project."

I greeted him with a smile. He was shocked to see me but masking that expression, he greeted me back.

The contract was signed in the meeting. After meeting, we were about to leave when Murat Sit got a call and moved aside to attend that.

I was waiting for him when Ruhaan came up to me. With a sad expression, he asked me, "How's is Tithy?"

Feeling guilty somehow, I apologised to him and said, "Tithy is fine now. Look, I am sorry for my previous behaviour. Actually I got scared, seeing her situation."

He smiled a little and said, "It’s okay. I understand. If something like that happened with my little sister, I would have done the same or even more."

But when I replied with a smile, "Oh, so you also have a little sister, I see. Then you can totally understand me.", the smile of his face faded away instantly, I didn’t know why.

I was about to ask him something but Murat sir came back and said, " Okay, we will take your leave now, Mr. Ahmed and hope we will make this project a great success."

Ruhaan shook hand with him and said, "InshaAllah."

He looked back at me and smiled but I could sense the pain in his eyes. I left the place with Murat Sir and hopping in his, we went towards our office while thinking about Ruhaan.

Should I ask Tithy about this? She is his secretary. May be she knows something. My mind interrupted my thought and asked, "Why do you care?"

And my all thought got paused.

Tithy's P.O.V.

When I woke up in the morning, it was 10 AM. I got freshen up and went outside of my room. Ma was reading a book sitting in the living room.

Seeing me, she put the book on the table and got up.

While walking towards me, she said, "You slept for a long time today, sweetheart. Are you feeling any pain in your leg now?"

I replied smilingly, "No complains, Ma." and she said, "Okay. Now come. Have your breakfast. It’s quite late."

After breakfast, we both were gossiping sitting in the living room when our someone knocked at our door.

I went to see who was it. It was an middle aged woman. I didn’t recognise her. When I asked her, "Who are you and whom are you looking for?"

She replied smilingly, "You are Tithy, right? I am Tamim's mother. Is your mother at home? I want to talk to her."

Hearing her, I greeted her and said, "Tamim vai's mother! Assalamu_Alaikum aunty. Yes, Ma is at home. Please come inside."

Aunty greeted me back with a smile and got inside. Seeing Ma, aunty greeted her.

Ma greeted her back and looked at me with a questioning look and I replied, "Ma, she is Tamim vai's mother. She wants to talk to you."

Ma told her to take a seat smilingly. She took a seat and I went towards the kitchen to bring something for aunty.

When I came back with a tray, I saw both of them talking with a serious expression.

Seeing me, they stopped talking.

I sat with them and offered aunty some snacks. She took some happily and then got up and said to ma, "Sister, I will take your leave now. You think about it. Then let me know."

I greeted her and she greeted me back and went outside of our house. Then I turned to ma and asked her, "What did aunty tell you, ma? You two seemed to have a serious conversation. What is it all about?"

I got shocked at what Ma told me and was like, "What!!"
