Chapter 5. We Take It Slowly

"I'm looking for you."

Elle's heart suddenly became nervous. She lowered her eyelids to cover the turmoil in her heart that was reflected in her eyes. Elle pushed Galant's arm with all her might, trying to move Galant's body away from her, but even though she had used all her strength she still couldn't push him away.

Without Elle realizing it, she wet her lips. Because she didn't want to continue being close to Galant, Elle bent down and slipped out from under his arm.

Galant didn't expect Elle to do something like that. Galant was silent, while Elle, without waiting for Galant to react, laughed and said, "Why are you looking for me? Do you want to talk business? Mr. Devereux wants to talk business, do you want to work with our company?"

In the past few months, Elle had been trained to meet various people so she could deal with Galant like she was dealing with other business partners. Moreover, Elle had previously thought several times about how to act if she had to meet Galant one day.

Galant kept looking at Elle without speaking, then took out a cigarette box from his pocket, his movements were very practiced, then he lit the cigarette.

Seeing him smoking again, Elle frowned and almost told him not to smoke.

In the past when Galant knew Elle was pregnant, he was willing to quit smoking, but in the end Elle had to leave him with Jullite's arrangement. Then when Elle met Galant again, Elle found out that Galant had started smoking again.

In the past Elle had advised him to quit smoking and Galant agreed with a laugh. After that when Elle was with him, Galant rarely smoked, but now ....

The color of the tip of the cigarette that was burning red was sometimes dark and sometimes light, the white smoke flew up, I watched it silently.

Now she and Galant had no relationship anymore so she had no right to control him.

"The company you are holding now is doing very well." Galant suddenly started talking again.

Elle wet her lips again, it seemed that Galant had found out about her.

The fact that Elle worked at Archie's company could not be covered up and Elle did not intend to cover it up. While laughing, Elle said, "Not bad, but compared to the big company D'reux Group, it is still far behind. It seems like CEO Galant wants to work with our company? "Still under consideration," Galant replied flatly.

"Then I have to be more active," Elle replied with a smile. Although Galant's face was still gloomy, Elle laughed very freely.

When Elle and Galant were talking together, suddenly a light shone on them. Making Elle reflexively raise her hand to cover her eyes.

Not long after, Elle realized that it was the light from Archie's car which was parked not far away.

Archie closed the car door hard and he rushed to Elle. He had looked at Elle and Galant. From the look in his eyes, it was clear that he was surprised, then stood beside Elle and immediately held Elle's hand.

"Why didn't you say you were coming to the office? I only found out after I asked my aunt. You didn't pick up my phone either, the secretary said you were working overtime at the office. Archie kept staring at Elle, from his words it sounded like he was blaming her.

Archie's attitude as if he didn't see Galant made Elle feel uncomfortable, also Archie's action of immediately holding Elle's hand like earlier really made Elle even more uncomfortable. Elle could feel Galant's sharp gaze on her.

"I was doing some work in the office and I didn't realize it was already late at night." Elle replied to Archie's words with a smile and let Archie continue holding her hand.

Today she had only given Archie one chance in front of Galant, how could she reject Archie now.

It's just that Elle didn't know if Galant had found out that she had been on maternity leave for a month. Therefore, when speaking, Elle deliberately didn't say it clearly. Because her heart still hoped that Galant wouldn't find out everything about her.

However, Elle also knew that if he could find out where she worked and the company's business situation, then he must have known about the previous time when she discussed the agreement with a big belly.

When Elle left Galant, Elle was heavily pregnant. Galant thought that Elle left after having an abortion. It had only been a few months now, how could she have a child from another man.

Thinking about it, Elle's head hurt a little and her courage became smaller.

"Archie, I'm tired, can I go home in your car? You take me home tomorrow." Elle pulled Archie's arm and smiled at him. She felt uneasy.

Elle knew Galant's self-esteem was very high, that's why she deliberately made out with Archie in front of him. Elle thought that if she showed up because she had a slight intention towards her, Galant would definitely be angry. If Galant was angry, he definitely wouldn't look for her again.

"Okay." Archie answered immediately. "You work too hard, don't be too tired next time. Your body is still—"

"Let's go!" Elle immediately cut Archie off, afraid that Archie would accidentally say that she had just given birth.

Archie immediately followed and let me hold his arm. In the end, he looked at Galant. "It's late now, I have business with Elle, Mr. Galant must have business too, let's go first.

For the agreement, we'll find another time to meet in the office, the basement is not a good place." He said with a smile, his tone sounded like he didn't want to give in.

Elle's palms were sweaty as she held Archie's arm and Galant's own gaze did not change. He took a drag on his cigarette, then smiled and threw the cigarette butt to the floor.

"Aaa ...." Elle screamed in surprise. Unexpectedly Galant suddenly followed Elle and pulled her arm.

Archie's face immediately became cold, then he held Elle's other arm and frowned.

The atmosphere suddenly became strange, one of Elle's arms was held by Galant and the other arm was held by Archie, they stood on either side of Elle. The three of them were in a strange state.

"CEO Galant, what do you mean?!" Archie said in a cold tone.

The smile on Galant's face did not change at all, he ignored Archie and continued to stare at Elle.

Suddenly Elle suddenly felt uneasy and lowered her head, she did not dare to look at Galant's gaze, her heart was shaking.

"Does he know? Does he want to tell me about having a child with me?" Elle thought.

Elle's heart gave a warning and there were many words in her head. Before her two children were born, she had thought about how to respond if Galant found out about them and wanted to take over their custody, but she was still very nervous at this moment.

However, it was beyond her expectations. It turned out that Galant only continued to stare at Elle intensely. The smile on his face grew wider, then suddenly he let go of Elle.

Elle gradually felt the pressure on her arm disappear and heard Galant's hoarse and melodious whisper beside her ear.
