Chapter 4. Looking for you

Although walking in the park was actually fun, Elle always remembered her two children in her heart, so it wasn't long before Elle said to Archie. "Archie... I want to go home."

Archie smiled and nodded, then took Elle home.

After arriving home, Elle's two children had eaten and slept. Elle looked at her two children sleeping on a small bed, without realizing it, she remembered Galant again.

Although her two children were only a month old, Galant's shadow was on their bodies. That's right, even though the two children looked like Elle, they looked more like Galant, making Elle's heart a mess every time she saw them both.

Elle was actually very surprised when she met Galant at the restaurant today. Now she feels uneasy.

In the past, Elle could be with Galant because she was pregnant with his child and Galant asked her to give birth to the child she was carrying because of that there was an agreement.

At that time, Elle didn't understand the meaning of Galant's request, but in the end she found out that her face was similar to Katherine Wade—her ex-lover who had passed away. Then Elle increasingly felt that Galant wanted a child who looked like her and also like Katherine.

Even though in the end when the child was no longer there, Galant was still willing to be with her. Elle felt that it was all because Galant was used to her presence and used to living with her who had a face like Katherine.

During her life with Galant, she also never bothered Galant and was quite pleasant. In addition, she was Dicky's ex-wife who happened to be the one who accidentally killed Katherine.

Although, surgery can change the face to look like Katherine, but genes cannot be changed.

Elle did not know if Galant had found out that she had given birth to a pair of twins and what Elle was more worried about was that Galant would take the children from her side if he knew about their existence.

The more she thought about it, the more afraid Elle felt. She knew Galant's abilities very well. Even though now she was not the Eleonora who could be suppressed, she still knew that Galant Devereux was not an equal opponent.

"Be strong! I have to be stronger." Elle encouraged herself

Now Elle knew the importance of work and money. If she ever had to face the court, she had to prove to the court that she had the ability to support her children.

Remembering that, Elle became restless. She had not come to the company for more than a month since giving birth. She had actually thought about taking a longer leave, but today when she met Galant, she felt threatened to the point that she could not stay still for even a minute.

"I'll go to the company for a while, please take care of the children." Elle said to the aunt who took care of me after giving birth and took care of her children. After saying that, Elle took her bag and went out of the house again.

Archie had already returned home. Otherwise, how could Elle have gotten out so easily.

The people in the company were all surprised when they saw Elle because this was her first day back to work after giving birth and she also came so suddenly. After Elle sat down in my office, I felt relieved, then immediately started to enter the busy world of work.

After a month of leave, although Elle understood all the work in the office, there were still some things that she had not paid attention to before.

Elle even forgot the time. As soon as she started working, she didn't realize that when she lifted her head after reading the last document, it turned out that the sky was already very dark.

Elle massaged her sore shoulder, suddenly working in a fairly large portion she felt unaccustomed to. The other employees had gone home, the light outside was a little dark. Elle looked at the clock, then immediately took her bag and went home.

Although the children had started drinking formula milk, Elle still gave them breast milk every day. This was the first time Elle had left her children for a long time. Although she knew that the aunt who took care of the children and the birth was quite responsible, she still felt worried.

The sound of Elle's high heels hitting the floor echoed and sounded very loud in the quiet hallway, enough to make the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. Elle gripped her bag tightly, then pressed the elevator button.

Although Elle used to work overtime often, maybe because she hadn't come to the office for a long time, she felt scared.

The elevator immediately went to the basement where the car park was. After the elevator door opened, Elle stepped out. Holding the car keys while looking for her car, Elle's steps were a little erratic.

Suddenly a black shadow passed by, Elle was surprised and screamed a little, "Aaa ...."

In the dark basement, Elle saw a large shadow. There was a strong smell of tobacco. Galant's hand holding a cigarette stood not far from where Elle was standing. The light from the cigarette sometimes burned brightly, sometimes darkly. Yes, the black shadow was Galant's shadow.

Elle never thought she would meet him again. Many words were stuck in her throat. Elle had not had time to speak, suddenly Galant had approached a few steps. Galant's dark shadow covered her. Without Elle realizing it, she stepped back, until her back was against the wall.

"What are you going to do?" Elle's voice sounded hoarse, her heart beating fast.

The body with the familiar smell was now covering her. Elle looked at Galant with fear, her hands clenched tightly.

Galant did not speak, just kept staring at Elle. His gaze was very calm and deep. However, it seemed to be covered in many feelings, like before, but Elle could not guess it.

Galant took a deep drag on his cigarette, then let out white smoke then threw the cigarette on the floor and stepped on it. His movements were like a villain, but there was a messy handsome style. Suddenly he stretched out his hand, and he held Elle against the wall.

The distance between the two was so close that even when breathing Elle felt short of breath. Elle's heartbeat was so fast that it seemed like just by opening her mouth, her heart would jump out.

Under the dim light, Elle could see Galant's face. He was still so handsome, his movements were still graceful, but his facial expression looked gloomy.

"You've changed a lot." Galant suddenly opened his mouth, Elle could feel the warm breath coming out of his mouth hitting her face.

Elle was very nervous and didn't know how to answer him. Her brain spun quickly until she finally found an answer. "People can definitely change," Elle said softly.

After saying her last sentence, Elle's next words flowed easily from Elle's lips. "Mr. Devereux, do you have any business here at this time of night?"

Galant continued to stare at Elle intensely. After a few seconds, he opened his mouth and said, "I was looking for you."
