Chapter 2. Meet again

Archie! I've been married twice. I'm a mother of two...." Elle snorted.

"I don't care and I don't mind! I like the kids. I'm also her father," Archie said.

When Elle's children were not yet born, Archie had already called himself the godfather of the children. Even though he was a godfather, he felt responsible for bearing the burden of the family like a biological father.

At that time, Elle didn't mind it because Elle admitted that if there was no help from Archie, Elle felt she wouldn't be able to.

Elle couldn't refuse for a while because Elle knew very well that no matter what she said, Archie could always persuade her and always considered the things that Elle was worried about okay.

"Archie, I feel like you don't deserve to do all this for me," Elle said.

Archie continued to stare at Elle seriously, then said, "Elle, I will prove to you that my feelings for you are real."

Hearing Archie's words, Elle could only smile, but in her heart she was depressed.

After this conversation, Elle was not sure if her relationship with Archie would remain the same as before. Elle was not afraid to love Archie, but she was afraid that she would no longer be friends with him and his friends.

In Elle's mind, the thought crossed her mind before her relationship with Archie got worse, should she quit Archie's company and not bother him anymore?

Before Elle could think clearly to find the answer to the question in her mind, Archie suddenly got up from his seat, then knelt down next to Elle's seat.

Suddenly, the screams of the restaurant visitors were heard after Archie made his sudden movement. Some were whispering while smiling, and teasing whistles were also heard. For a while, the situation became even more confusing for Elle.

Meanwhile, Archie continued to stare at Elle with an intense gaze. His hand reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out the velvet box that Elle had seen when Archie proposed to her in the hospital.

He opened the velvet box and took out the same diamond ring as that time.

"He... still has that ring?" Elle thought.

Archie smiled, then took out the ring and raised it in front of Elle. "I've bought the ring. I'm not asking you to marry me, but I hope you'll give me a chance to pursue you."

Elle didn't know what to say, she could only stare at Archie shyly. The visitors around her had started to shout, all clapping their hands asking Elle to accept it. Seeing Archie's gentle but persistent eyes touched Elle's heart.

Elle said in her heart, "After all, Archie isn't proposing to me right now. Maybe, I really should give him a chance or maybe more precisely give myself a chance?"

For a moment Elle felt a little shaken. When Elle was about to open her mouth, suddenly a cold, intimidating voice was heard.

"I didn't expect to get such a romantic view here!"

Instantly Elle's body shook violently. Her blood immediately boiled. The cold voice sounded very familiar, even the tone was exactly the same as the voice in Elle's memory.

Although fear had not yet come, Elle's body had already frozen. With the remaining courage, Elle unconsciously slowly raised her head.

Under the lighting of the restaurant's crystal chandelier, Elle saw the face that had appeared countless times in her dreams.

The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.

Galant was seen sitting at a table not far from Elle and Archie's table. The corners of his thin, sexy lips formed a faint curve. However, his eyes stared coldly at Elle.

Archie, who also saw Galant, looked stunned for a moment. Then he immediately stood up and hid Elle behind him, but Galant had found Elle. He got up from his seat and moved towards Elle and Archie.

"Eleonora Esmond ... you left me not because of Archie, right? If so, why haven't you married him after all this time?" Galant raised his eyebrows. His firm tone contained a sense of dread.

Elle's throat seemed to be caught by something so that she couldn't get any words out, she could only remain silent while staring at Galant.

Elle has often imagined that when she will meet Galant again, she will meet him as a great woman like when she meets him in formal clothes and sits across from him at a table, negotiating a project or when she is wearing a dress meeting at a business dinner.

No matter what the circumstances, when she meets Galant again, Elle wants him to see that she is not the Elle of the past. The Elle who is considered the same woman as Katherine.

However, Elle never imagined that she would meet Galant in a restaurant abroad where Archie was proposing to her.

Galant sighed, then said, "Is your face better?"

Suddenly Elle felt nervous and unconsciously touched her cheek and felt a pain like being stitched.

Elle remembered the incident at that time. Because she was too emotional, she grabbed scissors and cut her own face.

At that time Galant also looked for all the doctors who were the best to treat Elle so that Elle's scars became faint. However, the treatment was not completely finished, Elle had already left.

After he left and lived with Archie, Archie continued Elle's facial treatment and got various medicines to always apply to Elle's face every day so that now the scars on Elle's face were almost invisible. Even so, Elle was still a little insecure and continued to use powder to cover them.

Elle tried to forget the incident, but now Galant asked about it, making Elle's heart beat faster. "After all this time, he still cares about my face," Elle thought.

Elle blinked, trying her best to hold back her tears, then took a deep breath, then stood up and came out from behind Archie's back with a smile on her face.

"Yes, my face is getting better. Archie found various kinds of ointments so that the wounds on my face would heal completely and leave no scars."

After a moment of silence, Elle opened her mouth again.

"Archie... yes I'm willing!"

At first, Archie didn't realize Elle's attitude. However, after a moment of silence, he began to move to take out a ring from the box and with a smile he put the ring on Elle's ring finger.
