Ch 6- Run

CYNTHIA'S POV

One month later

It's been a month since I came here, work has been going good and I still didn't get anything against my sister. A witch named Aurora was very close to my mother so I tried to contact her and see if she could help me I still doubt she even received the news about the chaos in my kingdom or not.

My kingdom, well still not mine but soon.

I am still at the bakery my shift gets over at 6 so I am still waiting. I enjoy working here if I am being honest. The old baker whose name I learnt is Laura has been working here for more than 5 years now. She is really sweet and like a motherly figure to me.

"Amber please help me decorate these cupcakes." I don't like her using my fake name but I still have to take precautions.

"Yeah sure" we got an order of 200 cupcakes as there is a grand function in one of the mansions around. It seems that they are very important as Uncle Mateo told to make sure that there are no faults in the orders.

After helping Laura in decorating the cupcakes I left for my apartment which I bought 2 weeks ago. As I was walking by the street I heard some people talking in hushed tone now don't get me wrong I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I could hear it as I was passing by the same place.

"Did you find her?" one of the men asked, looks like they are searching for someone.

"No not still I asked the people whether they met someone named Cynthia but all of them refused to know anything." Wait what? They are looking for me, shit!

I tried to keep my facial expressions as passive as possible and continued going to my apartment.

Looks like it's time to move as this place is no longer safe.

I packed my stuff and got out . As I was waiting for a taxi the same men from before arrived and stalked towards me . oops looks like I am late in my departure.

I left my luggage there and raced towards the forest. Yup you heard me right a place like this is surrounded by forest but I don't mind because it looks beautiful.

The two men weren't far from me so I had to increase my pace. It was a full moon which I was thankful for because every crystal has it's own powers according to his or her name.

Cynthia means moon and so I can use my powers the best on full moon days. Using my powers I increased my speed up to 10 times and left them behind. Once I was sure that there was no one following me I started looking for a way to get out of here.

As I was inspecting my surroundings I saw a really beautiful castle located on top of a hill. A freaking castle in middle of a forest? Strange but never mind.

I started moving towards the castle but just as I neared the castle a dozen of guards surrounded me. They all were perfectly built and looked ideal for the role of warriors.

"I mean no harm , I just got lost in the forest and wanted to ask for shelter till the morning." I tried to reason my presence in the best way I could.

Suddenly the warriors made way for another man which I guessed might be their superior and oh my he looked like a model, but the one I met that day was much better. Wha..? don't even ask me why I compared that guy and this guy.

"Who are you? State your purpose of coming here." His voice was filled with authority.

"My name is Amber , I was just escaping from some people and ended up here. Please, I promise I mean no harm." I again told my fake name because I can't take the risk of getting caught.

"Well Amber are you able to see the castle?" ha, does this guys think that I am blind?

"Of course I can see the castle if it is in front of me." I don't know from where I got the confidence to sass in front of my future captor but never mind. A growl brought me out of my thoughts, Woah! A growl. Well looks like my ears are playing tricks on me.

"Watch your tone miss." He said in an authoritative tone.

I mumbled a quite sorry and waited for him to speak. "Well you will have to stay here for a while, until our leader doesn't allow you to leave."

"What no, there is no need for that if you don't want to give me a place to stay I will continue going on my way, ok bye." I tried to move from my place. Well keyword: tried, before I could move from my place he caught my wrist and dragged me towards the castle.

What have I gotten myself into. With a shake of my head I followed the guy without any further questions.
