CYNTHIA'S POV
When Christina told me we were going to have a girls day, I thought it would be us watching a sad old romantic movie with a bunch of tissues on the side table, a bucket of popcorn in our hands and non stop tears flowing from our eyes but apparently Christina is not that normal.
After Brian left me and Tina alone she first took me to the main kitchen which was in the northern wing. There I met Emma an old lady who was making cookies. Just then I remembered about Mateo and Laura,
Will they think I left the job?
Are they worried for me?
Is anyone of them trying to contact me?
But I couldn't spend more time in thinking as Tina introduced me to Emma. She is a really sweet old lady but extremely strict when it comes to her baking and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. When she left to collect some things from the other side of the kitchen, Tina pulled my hand and took me towards the place where the cookies were kept. She was about to pick one, when I remembered what Emma had said before leaving, "Don't you dare steal a single cookie or you will not receive any anything to feed that poor little tummy of yours for the next 2 days." Well I know she won't keep anyone hungry for two days. She'll not right? But apparently Tina loves such illegal tasks and therefore stole FIVE of Emma's cookies. As we realized that Emma was about to arrive we ran as fast as we could towards the library and let me tell you that she is a really fast runner. When I asked her how can she run so fast she just replied and I quote, "it's called stamina which only a few people can afford" typical much, never mind.
So basically after our robbery we went towards the library and who doesn't know that you are suppose to be quite in a library but like I said before Tina is NOT NORMAL.
When we went to the library the first thing she did was munch on her cookies and I did the same, then she motioned with her finger to stay quite and went towards the librarian's desk
When we went to the library the first thing she did was munch on her cookies and I did the same, then she motioned with her finger to stay quite and went towards the librarian's desk. Well I am not sure it was a librarian or a care taker but who ever it was, was sleeping peacefully and being the little devil Tina is, she went near the person's ear and screamed as loud as she could. The poor little thing jumped in fright and I ran towards the last section to hide because I don't want to know what will happen next.
I sat on the end section were a lot of mythical books were kept. I started surveying each book as I loved reading since I was a kid. Most of the books were based on Werewolves, Lycans, Vampires and Demons but I let it slide as they were very common among humans. I was looking at the books when suddenly a book titled as 'Crystal healers' caught my attention. I read it's summary and I realized it was actually based on my species and that shocked me as there are not a lot of beings who know about our existence.
I decided to read the book so I went to the person at the desk and saw a very sheepish looking Tina standing there in front of the older man, her head was down and she was smiling like a child being scolded but it went in one ear and out of the other.
I decided to interrupt the scolding, "Sir if you don't mind I plan on reading this book, can I borrow it for a few days?" the man looked at me and then at Tina, a confused expression grazing his features.
"And who are you?" he asked with caution and I don't understand why is he being cautious?
"I am Amber. Brian... I mean Alexander has told me to stay here for sometime because he wants to figure out something which I have no idea about." I replied politely.
"Well Amber you can borrow the book but please make sure you take care of it unlike certain people." His last words were directed towards Tina who looked a bit guilty but still defended herself,
"It was just once and I was not aware that there was coffee in the mug so I just pulled the book from below. Now it's not my fault that it got spilled on the book."
"Yeah yeah whatever you always come up with excuses." The man whose name is Hunter (it was written on the badge which he was wearing) said with a wave of his hand as if physically dismissing the excuse. At that Tina only pouted like a baby.
I bid my goodbye to both of them and told Tina that we can spend some more time later just as I was about to exit the library I guess I heard Hunter say something like 'she is human' but I am not sure if I heard correctly so I didn't think about it more.
After spending sometime with Tina I realized that she is very mischievous and energetic and trust me this is one of the worst combination of characters but I won't lie when I say I loved the time I spent with her today.
Looks like I made a new friend who is completely opposite of me.
It was ten at night Emma had brought my dinner in my room and warned me that if I didn't finish everything she would make me work for 5 hours tomorrow. I giggled when I remembered what my face would have looked like when she went out of the room after threatening me.
I finished my dinner and got ready for bed but before sleeping I read a few pages of the book and it contained the information which I already know so tomorrow I plan on reading more and find out more about my powers if the findings in the book are correct I would be able to use it as my advantages.
