chapter 13

Ella was later discharged from the hospital and moved with Mrs. Tyagi. She was in the car thinking about her past. Some was good while the rest was poison for her. she closed her eyes .

PAST MEMORIES:

She was not going to make him mad again because of carelessness.The house is all cleaned and the dish he just loves it. She was in the kitchen washing again the already cleaned dishes. Then she heard the unlocking of door. He has come. She hurriedly put the dishes in the cupboard and dried her hands. She felt pair of arms hugging her from behind.

He started kissing her neck and his hands moved on her waist. She turned to his side and he kissed her passionately. She tried to be out of his grip. But he held her more tighter.she tried to smile but his face made her nervous.

" what happened? Aren't you happy?" He asked with cold look in his eyes.

"No. It's not like that. I ... i actually.." his grip was tightened

"Leave it. You can never talk clearly with me." He loosened his tight grip. "Do you know i have a surprise for you?" Her heart beat stopped. He must be angry. His surprises always ends painfully.

"What surprise? I don't need any.. " she replied almost with teary eyes.

"Come on. I searched for her whole day and left a meeting for giving you a surprise ." He said cheerfully.

Her? Who is she? What has he planned?

"Hailey. Please come in. " and then her best friend Hailey came with a huge smile on her face. They hugged each other.

"Woah Ella you have changed a lot. Are you on a diet or something? You have lost too much weight." She said touching her arms. Ella managed to control her real feelings. Adrian's cold eyes were staring directly her .

"Oh. No. It's just. You have seen me after so many days. So.. i was always like this." She replied and breathed normally when she saw his frown disappearing.

"Come on girls. Why don't you both take your seats? Just sit and then talk " adrian said motioning her towards the living room. Ella like a slave held Hailey's hand and went out running.

" Hey. Wait.. what's wrong? Why are you walking so fast? Hailey said laughing on her friend's unexpected way. Ella was just replying when Adrian replied on her behalf.

"Actually she is just too obedient. Right ?"he said with scolding tone.

"No. I was just excited. Hailey and i met after so many years."she tried to cover up the situation.

"It's okay. You are still so innocent. I am happy that you got the right life partner . He is so caring." Hailey said looking at Adrian in the kitchen preparing snacks for them. Ella wanted to shout and tell her that the man she is seeing now is just an illusion. There is a demon behind this face.

"Well. I never saw you coming home. You are too happy here or he is just over caring or i should say OVER P- R-O-T-E-C-T-I-V-E. "she highlighted the last word. And looked at Ella's face. Her expression changed and her face turned pale.

"No. It's not like that. I am happy here."she said smiling. And her eyes went to meet Adrian's which were digging into her soul like daggers. He was continuously looking at them. Hailey followed her gaze and saw a strange expression Adrian's face. Adrian immediately smiled as he noticed Hailey.

Something is off about this guy... she thought.and looked back towards Ella who was still looking towards him with fear.

"It's okay. Honey. He is not saying anything to you. Why is he staring? Is everything okay?"she finally asked. But Ella looked at her with wide eyes. As if her truth is out." Tell me. Please. I can sense it. You are not looking well. What's wrong?" She again asked.

"Actually i am the reason. I torture her and she is afraid of me." Adrian said with snacks in his hands.

"What?" Hailey said.

"Ya. Everyone will think in this way. She reacts like this. I don't know when will she be able to adapt this life. You are happy now. Your friend is also thinking it in that way." He confront Ella.

"No. Hailey. What are you saying? I just not well. And you are taking everything wrong." She replied with shaking voice.

"Hey. I was just kidding. Calm down. You both are very strange." She suppressed the conversation with a laugh. But one thing she knew that nothing is fine here. The house, it's windows. All are like a prison. No servant. No family. Only her innocent friend with a twisted man!

"How's tea Hailey?" Adrian asked her."actually i made it after so many days. Now Ella manages all." He said kissing her hand. And she smiled.

"And there is no servant also. So she has to do everything on her own." Hailey replied sharply.

"It's her decision. I had many servants. But she wanted a home of her own so that she can take care of that" adrian replied.

hailey wanted the answers but in his presence it was just impossible.Even a blind person can feel the miserable condition of Ella. He was just sitting beside her holding her hand. And this was making Hailey sick. She was suspicious of him when he came suddenly to her home and showed like a perfect husband form and asked her come with him to meet Ella. Why can't Ella come to meet her?

"Ella , it has been a while since we visited our old cafeteria. Why don't you come up with me? I really miss that life .. please. " she said excitedly. Adrian's hold tightened on her hand which meant NO.

"No. I mean i will come another time."she replied although she wanted to visit the place too.

"What is this? No. Please Ella. You have to come up with me." Hailey argued. "Is adrian not ready to send you out with me? She finally said.

"Hey, no. I am not saying anything. If she wants to go then she can. It's your matter. Please don't drag me."he said protesting.

"Then . What 's wrong? Please. It will hardly take you 1 or 2 hours."Hailey said.

1 or 2 hours, he will never leave her out for this much long time . Not with a college friend .sge will get bad influence. Adrian thought but couldn't do anything.

"Okay .let's go. We will visit the place." Adrian said still holding her hand.

"I am really sorry but i wanted to go out with my friend. You can come with us any other time. Actually i wanted to have some shopping with her. " Hailey said looking at him. "And you told me that you wanted to give her a surprise, then this will be the best one. To enjoy 1 or 2 hours with a friend. Please Adrian. You love her. Then please ask her to go with me."she almost begged.

"Okay. Ella. You just go out with your LOVELY friend. "He said giving her mixed looks.

Hailey took her hand from his . And walked out.

"Please take care . You are taking my life with you." Adrian said standing in the mid of the front gate. Hailey just smiled at him. "Ella,please be home early. I want to have dinner with you.." he said to Ella.

"We have not even sat in the car and Mr Adrian is worrying about the return. Wow.." Hailey said and drove her car out of the front door.

This girl, why did i even call her? My mistake...

" yes so now tell me . What's wrong? He is not okay. I think."hailey again raised the topic.

"What are you saying? Everything is fine." Ella said looking out of the open window. The fresh air made her skin cold.

"After how many days?or i should say since how many months are you in the house ? Like a prison. No air and no happiness." She asked

"No. You have lost your senses. Please don't say these things again and again." Ella said .

"Why? Why are you not telling me anything? Why should i not say anything?why? "hailey shouted.

"Because HE WILL HEAR THEM. HE IS EVERYWHERE AROUND ME. I AM SAYING THIS HE MUST BE LISTENING THIS. I AM GOING TO GET A PUNISHMENT FOR SMALL SMALL THINGS. FROM THAT RUNNING FROM KITCHEN TO TALKING TO YOU.. HE WILL FIND MISTAKE IN THEM ALSO. HE ALWAYS DOES THIS." she cried.

Hailey stopped the car . She couldn't see her friend crying. She knew it. She tried to calm her down . But couldn't control her own tears....
