Chapter 8: Hypocrisy Is A Bitch

Arabella's POV

"Okay, I don't know why I'm saying this, but you need to talk to him." Erika mumbled as she smacked her gum obnoxiously and distractedly painted her nails with a light shade of purple which I constantly told her looks like barf but she never listens, anyway.

I rolled my eyes and sighed as I stared at the computer in a daze. Currently, I was too occupied watching Miraculous, Tales of ladybug and Cat Noir because why not?

"I'm not talking to him. Didn't you hear what I told you. He said that I'm his! I don't belong to anyone except myself. Shouldn't we be going to class now?" I asked, trying to divert her attention to something else although I knew we still had an hour before class.

"No, we're supposed to be gathering together under the oak tree at twelve. I don't know why and I don't care, but all I'm saying right now is talk to him. I know you still love him." She exclaimed, defusing my plan to steer the conversation elsewhere.

I parted my lips to reply but the loud chiming of my phone cut me off. I grabbed it from the computer desk and smirked as the familiar name flashed across the screen.

"Who is it?"

"Hunter," I mumbled in reply as I slid my finger across the screen and pressed the phone to my ear. Erika arched her brows and shook her head as if telling me, 'you better not do anything stupid'.

I rolled my eyes in response and excused myself as I stepped out of the room and into the hallway. "Hey Hunter," I mumbled as I shut the door behind me to stop Erika from sending daggers at the back of my head.

"Hey,beautiful."

I bit my lip to suppress myself from grinning as I slid down against the wall and onto the fluffy rug that decorated the hallway. I folded my legs underneath me and smiled. "Why are you calling?"

"Well, no reason really. I'm in the neighborhood and I was maybe wondering if you'd wanna hang out, I don't know just suggesting." His husky voice mumbled down the line. I nodded my head but forgot for a moment he couldn't see me. "Okay sure, where do you wanna hang out?" I asked as I glanced at a few students who stumbled down the hallway and stared at me peculiarly.

"I don't know, maybe the beach. You can invite some friends because I came with some as well, meet us there at Six."

"Okay sure. I'll text you later."

After a few more words exchanged between both of us, I turned my phone off and shoved it into my pocket. Just as I prepped myself to get up and head back into the room, Tyler's door flung open and I watched with wide eyes as a girl stumbled out. Her heels in her hands and her hair dishevelled as if she recently rolled out of bed.

She pulled down her dress that rode up past her mid-thigh and smacked her gum in her mouth rather loud and obnoxiously. She swayed on her feet unsteadily and clasped her hands against the frame of the door. "Last night was amazing!" She exclaimed loudly.

"Oh, really?" I heard the familiar voice mumbled from inside. Soon he appeared in the doorway with only sweatpants on whiles he gave us a full view of his abs. His pants hung low just beneath his torso, his brown curly hair was ruffled atop his head in odd directions and I'm guessing they fooled around again or he just wakes up naturally hideous.

I averted my gaze from his body and stumbled onto my feet. They both only now realized I was sitting there, and the girl scowled deeply. A sinister smirk made its way onto my face, but I knew I was far from happy.

If it weren't for what happened last night, I'd probably want to rip her face open, but I was too livid with Tyler to care who he slept with last night.

"I hope he told you about the ants in his pants. Chlamydia can get really nasty if not treated. He gave it to me so I should know but its all good girl. The itching stops in about a month or so. . .or was it two?" I mumbled softly as I leaned against the wall, feigning confusion. I gazed at them in amusement and watched as color drained out from his face and the girl snapped her head towards him in astonishment.

She raised her hand mid air and suddenly smacked her hand across his face. Clasping a hand over my mouth, I witnessed his jaw hanging low and his eyes wide in shock as she spurred a string of insults directly at him.

I stifled a laugh as she huffed out and twirled on her heels. She stumbled down the hallway; her strangled cry like one of a banshee. I think my job here is done. Good job love, you deserve a cookie!

I let my eyes wander from her to Tyler who stood in the doorway, his eyes penetrating through my body in rage. It felt as though his eyes were beams of lightning that burnt into my skin from how intensively he was glaring at me. Well, if I knew she meant that much to him I should have kept my mouth shut.

Nah, who am I kidding, that was classic.

I chuckled and spun on my heels. My hand only made it to the doorknob before Tyler grabbed a hold of my wrist and tugged me into his room. "Hey that's kidnapping!" I exclaimed loudly as I shoved him away from me.

He shut the door with his foot and folded his hands over his chest sternly as he stood before me, tall and intimidating. "Let me out. It smells like two wet dogs were humping one another in here mr-you-aren't-like-all-girls." I hissed loudly as a pang of hurt pulsated through chest as his words from last night registered in my head once again, but just hours later he's in bed with another girl.
