Chapter 7: Father, Haris

Aurora rolled over on her bed that night many times. When Ace told her earlier in the office, she never forgets about that scene.

She did not know if what he said was true, or just out of his mouth.

But, whatever it is. She is happy. She was happy because she knew she still had hope for Ace. That is the sign to make her plan, make Ace fall in love again with her.

She picked up her phone when it suddenly rang. The caller is unknown.

"Hello?" She welcomed when she answers the call.

She wondered who it was. She was not given her number to anyone, except to her family and friends.

"Aurora."

She suddenly held her breath when she heard the baritone voice of that man on the other line.

The thrill she felt earlier increased when she heard Ace's voice. Not only that, her name was the first thing the man said!

The man just mentioned her name, her heart was beating! She's crazy about Raxcer 'Ace' Vorex!

She was able to sit upright on her bed. She did not know how Ace got her number, and what caused it to call her.

She was stunned without being able to speak on the other line. "R-raxcer ..."

"I told you, it's Ace," Raxcer said, aggressively.

Why Ace's doesn't want her to call him Raxcer? Is she is not his family?

She smiled when she realized that they had not been with Raxcer for a long time, since the two of them separated years ago.

What a nice nightmare is that for her.

She is unable to speak properly when she answered. "Okay, sorry. I was just used to it, I used to call you Raxcer. Why--"

"'Everything has changed, Aurora." He cut her off.

Every word of the man is like a knife that slowly stabbing her chest.

Suddenly her smile disappeared. The happiness she felt quickly vanished.

The fact ruined her mood, that she can no longer restore their previous relationship with Raxcer, or Ace rather.

But, she will never give up. Not, now. She is still hoping that Ace will love her back again. She'll make sure of it. She has not done everything yet.

"Why did you call me? It must have been ten o'clock at night. Besides, where did you get my cellphone number?" She changed the topic.

She heard Ace take a deep breath on the other line. It looks like he just tried to call her tonight. Well, she accepts that.

However, that is not the reason for the loss of joy and excitement in her heart.

"Everything I want, I can get it now, Aurora. So, don't ask how I got your cellphone number ..." He gasped in the air.

That's right.

Whatever Raxcer wants now, he can get it. Not like before. The man changed a lot. "And, I call you to inform you that, we need to meet tomorrow at my office. Let's start tomorrow with my proposal for your company."

She gaped. That so quick.

"Isn't this what you want, Aurora?" She asked herself.

"Is it okay with you if it is for another day? I have lots to do tomorrow,” she reasoned out while biting her lower lip; hoping that Ace will agree.

"No. I'm busy on the other days. And, for your information. I don't want you to say no to me. I'm the type of guy who doesn't like being rejected. So whether you like it or not, let's continue our meet-up tomorrow. " Ace declared, seriously and angrily.

Before she can reasons out again, Ace ended the call.

She was dumbfounded while staring at the screen of her phone.

Is she going to meet up with Ace, or not? Well, she had no choice.

Raxcer is sitting in his swivel chair. He is waiting for Aurora's arrival.

Why is he, early now in his office? Is he excited to see Aurora?

He shook his head. No. He just was early today.

He was staring at the door of his office when it suddenly opened. He stood up when he saw Hellias the fourth of their five siblings.

His brother's name is Hellias, but his nickname is 'Hell'. The worst name among their siblings.

The next who enter was his older brother Gardon. Gardon's nickname is 'Adon', the second brother of the five siblings.

"Brother Adon, bro Hell ..." He called. "Why did you two come here?" He asked them in astonishment.

The two sat on the sofa even though he had not yet made himself sit down. Oh well, what else is new to his brothers?

His two brothers entered his office, it was Ramson and Zandro.

His older brother Ramson, whose nickname is 'Ram'. This is the eldest of their five.

Zandro, on the other hand, is the youngest of their siblings. 'Zaro' is the young brother's nickname.

And he was the third of the five. He is Raxcer and his nickname is 'Ace'. He can say he has the most arrogant name and nickname among them all.

His eyes widened. What is the reason why all of them are here in his office? What's the matter?

"Be ready, bro Ace. Our father is now here a few seconds." Suddenly, his older brother Gardon spoke.

On what Gardon said, he did not know if he was going to have fun, or nervous.

Their father is now back! Why the old man showed up?

Their father didn't give time unless they have done something wrong. The question is, for whom?

He looked at the four men seating on the sofa.

"I don't know why he's here, Ace. Maybe he just has an important reason why he's here. We're not doing anything wrong." His older brother Ramson explained.

"So how are you, brother Ace? Did you do something that our father didn't like?" He turned his attention to Hellias when he asked, suddenly.

He sat down in his swivel chair. He shook his head. "I did not do anything bad."

Five siblings are confused with his answer.

What is the real reason for the sudden return of their father? It makes him wonder too.

In the middle of their thinking. The big door abruptly opened.

They stood up straight while staring at the old man, standing at the doorway while giving them a look one by one.

The old man carries the blue eyes that they inherited.

Their father has a serious face, and showing no emotion. Cold as ice. Where his brother Hellias inherited.

"Father!" They pronounce in unison.

They only called the man 'father'. Because it is rude for them not to call it in that way.

"Ram, Adon, Ace, Hell, and Zaro. Follow me."

This is a serious matter. Is this the last day of their life?

What Ace worried about is that Aurora will be waiting for him for nothing. Their meet-up thingy is canceled.

Well, he will call the woman later after the discussion with their father.
