“Just go to the director’s office and present the proposal. You’ve stalled too much time already Y/N,” your boss told you over the phone.
Hotel business partnership, that’s the deal you have to close with the Jeons.
Funny that their surname is the same with Jungkook’s, the very reason why you’ve had second thoughts about taking this assignment.
But your boss insisted saying that you’re the only one who could do it since you’ve close hard deals from before.
Plus the promotion.
“Right,” you mumbled.
You did your morning routine, put on your black pencil cut dress, pull your hair into a bun and put on some light make up.
This should do.
You headed to the information desk and were approached by the same woman from yesterday.
“Have you been feeling well ma’am?”
“Ah, yes,” you smiled at her, “may I know where the CEO’s office is? I have an appointment, Y/F/N.”
“Yes of course, his son has been waiting for you.”
“Son?”
“The CEO’s son has been put in charge with all of the operations on this hotel Ma’am.”
“Oh.”
The woman told you the room number of the office which got you questioning.
“I thought my suite is the top most?”
“Top most for the hotel guests, but the very top floor belongs to the CEO’s son.”
“I see.”
You headed to the lift and scanned the special key card the lady gave you in order to reach the top most floor.
You didn’t know why but you felt nervous but you pushed that feeling away as you clicked the doorbell of the suite.
The door clicked open and you swore you held your breath for a second while you anticipate the person who would open the door up.
“Mr. Jeon has been waiting for you,” the pretty looking lady smiled at you gesturing you to enter.
The hotel suite had the same plan with yours except that the whole area was themed elegantly with the colors black and white.
[A/N: I’m obsessed with black and white, I know. Black’s my favorite color so...]
You followed the secretary to one of the rooms.
The only room which had its lights on.
“This is his office,” she smiled and knocked on the door, “Mr. Jeon, Ms. Y/N is here now.”
No answer.
The lady turned the knob and gestured you to get inside.
“B-but he didn’t answer yet,” you protested looking at her while you half halfheartedly walk towards the minimal opened door.
“It’s okay, he does that,” she smiled one last time and pushed you abruptly inside the room, you had to turn around to the door but she was fast to close it on your face.
Damn, why does it feel like I just entered a lion’s den?
Save me.
You heard someone cleared their throat which got the hair at the back of your neck to rose up.
For a second you thought there was actually a lion in there.
You turned around fast which made you wish that you didn’t.
Because you were once again frozen in place.
Your whole body went numb and felt light like a feather floating in mid air, you felt your head spinning that as if any second now you could collapse again just like yesterday.
He slowly turned his gaze towards you, his eyes went up from his desk full of paper works to your shocked and stiff frame.
He was melting you with that piercing eyes, and it almost killed you as you sense the emptiness on his stare.
Lifeless.
Empty.
Gaze.
He was staring at you like you were someone who just ruined his whole day just by entering his office.
Are you dreaming again?
You pinched at the side of your thigh just to make sure and you whimper slightly due to the pain it caused.
No.
You.
Are.
Not.
Dreaming.
“Jungkook?” You voiced out with your low and trembling voice, but you were sure that he heard you just fine due to the deafening silence inside the room.
“Have we met before?” He asked.
“I--,” you paused.
Your heart was once again breaking into a million pieces. Your vision was starting to get cloudy due to the pooling tears threatening to fall from eyes any second.
Unconsciously, your hand gripped on your chest, your heart was aching and it somehow hard to breath.
“Ms. Y/N?” He asked with a cold tone still sitting comfortably on his chair as he look at you like a person who would look at someone they just met for the first time.
You inhaled deeply and forced a smile on your face.
“No, we haven’t met before,” you answered.
