Damian

After I was finished with all my classes of the day I decided to head over to the skatepark as I haven’t had a chance to visit the park since I got here and I was dying to try out my old and new tricks. I spend a few hours at the park until sunset was on the horizon.

I started making my way back to the dorms when I realized that I never went to pick up my bags from Travis’ place. I turned back around and started walking towards his house when a car pulled up next to the sidewalk. I stopped walking when the driver pulled the passenger window down.

“You lost?” I asked when I noticed who the driver was. “I was about to ask the same question.” Damian answered. “You know it is dangerous to walk the streets alone.” He said. “I know where I’m going if you are concerned about that.” I replied. “Where are you headed? Maybe I can offer you a ride.” He offered.

“I don’t think it such a good idea.”

“You afraid of what Isabella would do if she finds out?” He asked. “I’m not afraid of that girl. She can go back to hell for all I care. I’m heading over to Travis’s place.” I informed him. “I know where he lives. Come on. It’s quite a walk from here.” He said opening the door for me from the inside.

I got in the car and shut the door behind me. “What’s the deal with you and Travis?” I asked when he pulled off. “Nothing, why?” He asked. “I’m not dumb. It’s perfectly clear there is some tension between the two of you.” I said. “Travis touched what belonged to me and nobody touches what is mine.” He replied making me believe that he has an ego.

“You sound a bit self egocentric, don’t you think? And I don’t really think that Travis would do such a thing.” Even if I only got to know him.

“We will never find out will we?” It sounded like a rhetorical question. “Because you are ass whenever it comes to him?” I asked. “No, maybe and because he wants nothing to do with me.” He answered. “Does it have to do with that bombshell of a girlfriend of yours?” I asked noticing we were growing near to Travis’s place. His silence told me that it was.

As Damian pulled up in the driveway the lights of the car filled up the garage with light where Travis was busy working on his bike. He got up from his position and made his way out of the garage. “Thanks for the ride.” I thanked him and got out of the car. Travis looked at me and then frowned when his eyes landed on Damian sitting behind the steering wheel.

“Good to see that your old habits didn’t die.” Damian said to him. “Yeah, well. You can go now.” Travis replied and turned his back on him as he walked back to the garage. “Travis.” Damian called him back. “We are done. Damian.” Travis replied not looking at him. Damian looked at me before he reversed out his driveway and drive off.

“Damian, really?” Travis asked looking at me. “He offered me a ride while I was on my way over to you.” I said trying not to look at his chest as he was only wearing overall pants and the rest of his upper body was covered in either oil or dirt. “You could’ve called me to pick you up.” He said. “I don’t have your number dummy.” I replied. “I’ll just grab my things and leave.” I said starting to make my way towards the front door.

“I’m not that heartless. I might be upset but I won’t let you walk back to the dorms with or without your bags.” He said scowling walking up to me. The front door opened and Zack exit the house. “Hey, Jaylin.” Zack greeted and then he looked at Travis. “What did they prick want?” He asked throwing a beer his way.

“You are looking at it.” Travis said motioning towards me. “I’m not an “it”. I’m a human.” I enlightened him. “He dropped Jaylin off.” Travis corrected Zack. “Oh. Next, he is going to want something in return.” Zack said.

“Can you help Jaylin with her bags while I go clean up?” Travis asked. Zack nodded and motioned for me to follow him into the house where I met the rest of the roommates. Connor, he is the guy that would give any girl the chills. He has blond hair (he probably colors his hair as the ends of his hair is dark brown), loves wearing a black beanie, has a lip ring, and wears that same blank expression every single day.

And then Jacob, he's kind of cute, he was basically the guy could sweep you off your feet with his smile. He has black jet hair close to Travis, green eyes, and was basically your average kind of guy who likes playing PlayStation.

"Interesting friends you got there." I commented while Travis was driving me home. His reply was a chuckle and brushing of his hand through his wet, short hair. He took a quick shower before he drove me home. "Damian tells me that you touched something that was his. What's with that?" I asked trying to start a conversation.

"He's delusional but that's Damian for you." He muttered avoiding making eye contact with me. "He also believes that he is some kind of god and everyone wants to touch what belongs to him." He added.

"You seem quite upset with him." I noted. "Are you some kind of therapist or what? You want to know what my feelings are when it comes to him?" He asked sarcastically. "Okay, I have a feeling I ruined your night. But you got to understand that I'm not part of your rivalry with Damian. I'm just a girl who thought about giving you a chance and get to know you." I said and then ripped the door open of his truck and got out. I shut the door, grabbed my bags from the back, and started to make my way toward the entrance.

"Jaylin." I ignored Travis as he called my name. A few girls outside turned to look at him, I ignored their looks and continued making my way towards the dorm. "Dammit, Jaylin." He grumbled and before I knew it he stood before me. "Maybe I was wrong for taking my mood out on you. Yeah, maybe I was upset thinking that he is trying to make a point and make me mad. But I never touched whatever belonged to him. You got to understand that." He said.

"And Damian used to be my best friend. But everything got shot through the roof when Isabella claimed that I touched her when I never did. So, yeah I am mad. Mad doesn't even describe how I feel about him. He listened to that cheating whore over his best friend."

"And I'd like to get a chance to get to know you." He confessed. "And not mess it up because I can't stop myself from being a jerk." He added almost pleading.

"You still haven't answered my question." He quirked an eyebrow at my reply. "Are you any good in motocross?" I asked and watched his smile return. "You know, sugar. I'm not some self-centered, egotistical moron but I believe that I'm pretty good."
