"please Uncle hold just for a minute we will be there soon" she said crying.

"n-no my p-princess...I’m s-sorry i-i can't" Mr. Vedh replied weakly.

"NO! Uncle please don't say this.... you are my only family, you can’t leave me!! You promised me you will be always with me!! "

"l-listen to y-your uncle Mahi.... I c-can't protect you anymore... r-run. r-run away far from them, they will kill you... " Mr. Vedh turn his head a bit to the old man weakly who was also tearing.

"Dhruv B-Buddy. p-please save her... y-you promised me that D-day... t-today I ask you to take care of m-my niece after I’m gone. m-marry her to someone who can protect her. I t-trust y-you.... s-she is l-like m-my lovely d-daughter" he holds his one hand and another of Mahi. He smiled at Mahi

"M-Mahi leave with him... don't w-worry about me. just r-remember.... you have to survive. promise me to live happily after I’m g-gone otherwise. y-your f-father will curse me from heaven. Haha. My child... Uncle really... r-really l-loves you..............." his hands loose grip from both sides.

"No... No...NO!! Uncle PLEASE NO.... YOU CAN'T LEAVE LIKE THAT!! I Am SORRY!! I WILL NEVER DISOBEY YOU... I promise will listen you and be good girl. j-just *sob* Uncle *sob* d-don't leave me alone!! " Mahi shack him.

She burst out crying like crazy hugged his cold body losing her last person in this world. Mr. Dhruv silently shed tears closing his friend's eyes which are now never going to open, and hugged them.

After a while the car stopped she saw Airport from afar.

"Let’s go we have to leave as soon as possible." old man said politely.

She nodded and head out, soon they take off from New York. A tear rolled to her cheek again while staring out to the city where she spends her past years with her Uncle smiling, laughing, joking and working together.

Her tears stopped and she was gazing at window with sad eyes need someone's warmth.

"We were childhood best friends." The old man breaks the silence.

She turned to the person who saved her a while an ago. He came out of nowhere and saved them when she doesn’t even know her name.

"He texted me everything about it earlier when your two were driving to airport. Don't worry you are safe, now you are my responsibility, I’m your Uncle too." he said with a comforting smile. Mahi just nod with glossy eyes.

"Who exactly are you?" Mahi asked since she wonder he had gun earlier.

"Well I see he didn't tell you anything about me but he always talks about you... that jerk. Haha. I’m chairman of Singh Enterprises, Dhruv Singh"

"A-and t-that gun and firing" she shuttered.

"Mum that *sigh*... also Mafia King of underworld..." he said resting his head back.

Mahi looked at him blankly made him noticed her stares "what?" he asked her.

"No wonder he always says my Mafia stories are bullshit... he already had a real one as bffs. " she said looking down playing with figures.

Mr. Singh amused by her reply and laughed. "I thought you would get scared but that was. umm kind of unexpected" he laughed a little and she fold her lips in feeling embarrassed.

"Well now I wonder what kind of stories you had about us Haha." this made Mahi frown but also smiled looking the man besides her laughing.

They talked during whole flight and comfort each other.

"Mr. Singh you said he told you about me.... how much do you know??" she asked

"Well everything. that you are Prof. Maria.... your aim... and now you are the only person who can make another ARCER." he replied.

She took a back being afraid that as he is also Mafia, he can also harm her and he noticed her action.

"Don't worry dear... I maybe a mafia but good one for you hmm... your dream was his dream and his dream is mine so I will help you... but now they will try to track you so we have to be careful..." he smiles which somewhere relief her.

"Btw why this machine made for... what your father wanted to do with it basically " he asked in curiosity.

"If you know everything about me form Uncle I guess I can trust right?" she with a little scared expression.

"Without a doubt" he passes a cheering smile.

"Well I wasn't sure that but when we were making it, we found it can be a great source of electricity which can help to generate endless light for rural areas at low cost and no wastage of fossil fuels... I guess he use to do charities so may be his intention was to help poor’s..." her expression change and eyes got glossy.

"But that Kevin named gangster wants to use it as weapon, I can’t let it happen this could take millions of life in a second.... I don't want my inventions to be cause of destruction.... " she palms her face and Mr. Singh pat her back. She started to sob remember her carefree past.

"Me and Uncle thought that after its launch we will set up a team with government to handle it which will provide the device to locals directly and then I could reveal my face. but now I can't think straight. I can't do it alone I don't know any investor properly...these things were always handled by him...."

"you are such a thoughtful and intelligent lady. no wonder he was always proud of you...don't worry my company will help in investment and I swear I won't ask for any profit. I will help you.... since I have done a lot of sins, I should do some good work now..." he cheers her but his last line was whisper and had some sadness.

They arrived to London and his man was waiting for them outside. They hop in a luxurious limo and driver started driving.

They reached the house, as she hops out of car her eye came out of her sockets.

"Oh god holy dang!! It’s a whole mansion" she mumbles. Mr. Singh chuckled and posture her to head in.

"Dear. upstairs to left, is your room, take a shower and rest, you must be tired I will call doctor for your injuries. If you felt hungry just ask maids anything hmm.... I need to go to office. ok... I will back in evening." Mr. Singh left.

Mahi P.O.V.

I went to the room, it was dark. A portrait of a small boy and a lady holding hands, was hanging on the wall. Then I head toward the bed and found a photo frame having picture of a boy playing sitting in his mother lap.

"they look cute" I mumbled.

A maid entered and put cloths on bed for her. I trace them and release a sigh.

Getting in the shower my mind was filled with a lot of thoughts.

I cry remembering the tragedy happened few hours an ago. My whole life turned upside down.

A day ago everything was fine and perfect and in a night all shattered. I lose my Uncle; I can't go back New York neither my work place.

About ARCER, it’s all destroyed and turned into ashes. My blood, sweat, sleepless nights, hard work everything turned into ashes because of that fucker.

Came out, she asked maid for food. After eating she drift in deep sleep trying to forgot today's incident. It was hard for her. Her injured leg was aching badly even a doctor treated her few minutes ago. Being tired and fighting with her thoughts she finally drifts in her dreams.

After few hours her eyes opened and found a pair of dark orbs looking intensely at her, basically piercing her soul with cold glares. His dark vibes perfectly match with the devil of hell.

She gulped at the figure and sat up rubbing her head as it was aching badly. That tall, well built, muscular body came closer to her face and now she can saw his facial features.... perfect jawline, deep black orbs, black styled hairs, wearing a classic tuxedo.

She came out of her wonderland when she realized he was grabbing her wrist tightly. She jerks her hand to get freed, but no effect on him. He just glares at her blankly.

Suddenly he pinned her on headboard and stare deep in her eyes freezing her. His deep, husky, whispering voice echoed

"Who are you?"
